My favorite Mexican restaurant in the area. Service is always great and the staff is very friendly. They have an outdoor patio. The menu is pretty large, with some healthy options as well. The prices are great.

I love the atmosphere in this place. There is very co artwork on the wall. The restaurant is very clean and has indoor and outdoor seating options. The staff is very friendly and professional. The food here tastes great. Lots of choices to choose from on the menu. Plenty of parking because it located in a row of stores. I have been eating here for years and I am never disappointed.

We had a late dinner over the wknd after a long day at vball tournament. We drove 20 min to get out of the city to hopefully avoid the vball crowd. It worked, not many people there. Our service was great and our delicious food arrived quickly. If ever passing through that area again, we will absolutely eat there again!

We LOVE this restaurant! Everyone is very respectful and kind! The food is always fresh and warm, and there is a large variety of dishes for all tastes and ages!

The place is always packed and it’s a smaller restaurant. Seating is limited and it’s a bit cramped but I can understand why. There are no over-the-top decorations, no mariachi bands, no glitter and glam. They take their food seriously. The layout is cozy, authentic, and the food here is incredible. I’m vegetarian and not one other place in town knows how to do vegetarian like Carisilos. They use fresh ingredients, hearty grilled vegetables, and the wait staff treats you like family. Your plate always comes out fast and hot off the grill. Put Carisilos on your must-do list!

Good margaritas and good food. Recommend over margarita bar edwardsville for sure. They have no alcohol in their drinks at all.

Outstanding flavors and their quality of food, in particular their meat as they seem to use higher quality meats than many other Mexican Restaurants, made each dish more enjoyable than others. Once again another restaurant offering dine-in when many in this area are not.

Have stopped here a few times. Had a mix up with our order and our waitress was amazing and got it fixed quickly. Awesome service, good food, resonable pricing. Will definitely be back.

Monday is 2 dollar Margarita night! Definitely worth it!!!!

The food was delicious. The price is climbing as it is everywhere. We had a big group and they were very accommodating!

Carisilos is a local favorite! I have been so many times and always leave with leftovers. My favorite thing is some variation of the fajita burrito. I had the steak last time but have also had a veggie one and they are STUFFED full. The chori pollo is also a favorite. YUM. Everything has so much flavor!!

Very friendly crew and the food was great and very reasonable.

Picked this restaurant randomly when on a trip.. We were amazed.. The food was beyond excellent.. The portions, even the lunch special were huge.. Everything was cooked to perfection and seasoned perfectly.. The taco on its own little stand with a load of finely grated cheese on top with a perfectly cooked shell.. The service was also great.. Oh yes, very reasonable prices for the quality and quantity.. Usually when I stop to dine out of town I regret it.. This time I was ecstatic!

Found this little gem off the beaten pathway. Great service n friendly staff. In our home Mexican is practically it's own food group. We love and cherish and hot crispy, cheesy chili releno. I've found nothing to complain about food wise in all the times coming here. Even though there are several similar establishments to choose from that are closer to home, for us this place is like family. You won't go away hungry. Excellent margaritas, and some of the best salsa and chips I've had.

This place never disappoints! Whether you are eating on the patio and enjoying the weather, sitting inside and watching a game, or getting takeout to enjoy at home, you will most likely have a great experience. The staff is friendly, helpful, and easy to communicate with (even if you can't pronounce what you're ordering). It's a busy place due to the quality of the food and service.

Carisolos is a family owned restaurant with a warm and homey atmosphere where the food is delicious, authentic and tastes home cooked and modestly priced. Our waitress was friendly and accommodating but not overbearing. I love that she knew the answers to my questions about the spices and ingredients in my menu item before I ordered. My grilled shrimp salad was wonderful and had a generous amount of perfectly seasoned shrimp. My three friends enjoyed different taco salads that were served in a hand made crispy tortilla shaped like a big taco shell. We couldn’t resist the fried ice cream and I they were a delicious treat. We will be going back!

My favorite place. Hands down, best chesse dip/ salsa.

Service was good. They were pretty busy but good still came out fast.
