This has the best in woods trails I've been to in St. Clair county. There are various paths you can take which will increase or decrease the difficulty of your hike. My dog loves it sooo much!!!

One of my favorite trails. It's not paved but feels like a natural obstacle course. When I was training for a body building competition, this was great for trail running.

Pleasant Ridge Park is great for lots of activities- free leashing your dog, hiking, playing on a playground, enjoying a picnic under a pavilion (or just at a bench), taking in the fall landscape, and even sledding on the rolling hills. There's also a preserved historic cabin (that you can only view from the outside), called the Kinsella Cabin in the park that was built in the late 1800s.

There is one main hiking trail that takes you through the majority of the wooded area on the property and another five short trails that shoot off of the main one. The trails are well-maintained with bridges and steps along the way and well-marked with color-coded arrows to keep you on the right path.

This park is a gem!! Best local park for trail running or hiking if you live in the Belleville or surrounding areas. The paths aren’t labeled the best and can be a bit confusing as far as which little paths branch out, but that’s part of the fun, right? There are two hills in the main open part of the park that are great for hill repeats. The park is well-maintained and there’s even a historic log cabin from the 1800s preserved and clearly taken care of. If you are looking to get away from the chaos without having to drive far away, then this is the place!

Love the park! Clean, beautiful trails, fantastic open fields. Kids enjoy the playgrounds, and it's perfect for sledding and snowboarding in the winter. A wonderful place for outdoor fun and recreation.

This was a very nice park....but the wrong "Pleasant Ridge Park". There is another "Pleasant Ridge Park" just a few miles north of this one in Maryville. Very confusing!!!

Such a windy and quick trail to followed that has a lot of entry points. The trail is easy to access from different parking areas at the park. It also has an old building that is neat to observe from the outside if you’re interested. This is a good hike to take kids or dogs, with a lot of open area to run around and play fetch where it is off leash, or frisbee on a nice day!

I loved this park, there was a dog trainer and an off leash area for pets. Plenty of space and trails.

It was, indeed, pleasant. There was also a small ridge and park.

Nice quiet park with some short trails. Excellent place for metro east residents to get in a short hike after a workday. The trail system winds along a series of watersheds and creeks in thick woods. There is even a little waterfall.

Great park if you are looking for space for your dogs to get outside. They have both leash and leash free areas. There are also walking trails and a large playground. Book a pavilion if you want to have a party. There is a lot to love in Pleasant Ridge Park.

Beautiful, well kept park with plenty of space for picnics, parties, and trails for hiking. Dog friendly, but you have to clean up after your animal.

They're are no mosquitoes are other biting pests. The area is clean and well maintained. Picnic areas are spaced far apart enough to allow your group privacy and no disturbance from other visitors.

So many trails and so many kind people. Some of the trails are deteriorating from the rain, so be careful near creek beds. Metal shoe grippers (idk what they're actually called) will save you from falling in thick mud if you go hiking after a rain. I've explored just about the entire park and I still find something new and curious each time I go here. 11/10 would recommend.

Although, as for the dog park, I think the leash and off leash areas should be switched. That hill is enormous and I am not about to walk my dog on a leash down there. To my understanding, a woman was bit by an off leash dog in the hilly/valley area. If your dog is aggressive, it should not be off leash in the first place. I miss letting my 12 year old dog run around the hills.

Great hiking trails, so peaceful and quiet. Tons of space for both leashed and unleashed dogs. Great playground.

Very nice wooded trails. Moderate hills with some creeks to explore. Wear a good pair of shoes that you also don't mind getting dirty.
