An Irish pub by name with a bit of green but more an American bar menu. Despite the green I'd say the most irish part of the bar is a wall devoted to navy and marine service members. Irish and sailing go hand in hand in my book.

This is a regular American bar that loves its vets and the fallen of home town sailors and marines. In a bar? Atmosphere is as important as the food and despite a veterans bar not being my thing, I feel comfortable here against the wall next to photos of navy and marine lads and lasses, dominated by a fallen family member's photo. There's a quiet authenticity of it that's hard to miss.

It's a weathered old beast of a bar, dark but warm. The clientele is mixed and at ease. Seat yourself as you come. Music is very light when the stage isn't in use. You can relax and be at ease here.

On to the food. The wings are juicy and well breaded. Bone in of course. Tuesday is wing night. Remember that. I tried the garlic parmesan wings, but next time I am aiming for the hot ones. Yes, there will probably be a next time. Chips are made in house and decent. Prime rib sandwich was on point and portions are what others say, healthy for the price.

As for the butcher bill, it's better to say this is a 20-30 per head place if you're here for dinner and not drinks. Fair for the price. If the scene is up your alley give it a try.

Arrived from out of town and read the reviews. We were a bit apprehensive arriving late Sunday night. THE FOOD WAS FANTASTIC! I ordered the Blackened Walleye light and flakey and cooked to perfection! The veggies were fresh and cooked perfectly! Was tempted to order a side, but too full. Wife ordered the Chopped Chicken salad. All fresh ingredients and tasted great! Coming back next time we’re in the area

The food and service at J.J. Kelley's never disappoints. Our most recent visit was on a Friday night. The entrees on their Friday menu include AYCE soup and salad bar. I ordered a well-done ribeye steak and, not only was it cooked to my liking, it was absolutely tender. My husband ordered the fisherman's platter and he loved it. We have been going here for over 15 years and whichever day you decide to go, you will be welcomed and provided excellent service and food.

This place was so good! The food was far higher than expectations, the staff was fun, and the atmosphere was awesome! Bonus points for its amazing bit of music history as being the birthplace of the band Disturbed!

First time. Had a hankering for a roast beef with au jus. Tucked away was the best Roast Beef ever!! The menu looks so inviting, I am sure I will be back. I will order ahead tho.

Surprisingly great pub food! I had the fisherman's platter, and I couldn't finish it. Both quality AND quantity! The corn chowder was to die for! Relaxed atmosphere, friendly service, will go back if I am this way again!

The waitress forgot boxes but she did really good getting our drinks to us and keeping them coming. First time coming here and it was a great experience. I'll be coming back!

Blackened walleye and sauteed whitefish were both excellent, as were the accompanying baked potatoes and sauteed vegetables.

Staff is attentive the place has great food and if you like live music on the heavier side, you'll love it!

I've always love JJ Kelley's food but today I ordered something different for an appetizer ! I ordered their mushrooms ! All I can say is "WOW"! If you love or like deep fried mushrooms try them !!! I seriously wish I would of took a picture of them !

This past Friday December 17 my boyfriend and I had a much needed night out. As we listened to the music duo we ate dinner, I had the ribeye steak which was so juicy and absolutely delicious. We rarely go anywhere but this is a place that we will come back to more than once. It was really busy that night and the person Mary who waited on us was really really patient and she did such a great job with as busy as they were. We actually felt like we were a part of the regular crowd that is how they made us feel. The owners are also very very nice and friendly. This is the second time I've been there but both times or amazing

Good atmosphere, good food. And great people and service.

Came in on a Tuesday after work and was treated to some delicious wings. I was unaware they were 50 cents on Tuesdays. Great deal, great vibes and is great for the whole family as well. There were several families eating during my visit. Good service, great prices, very good menu and a must visit if you're ever out in Lansing.

Friendly neighborhood bar and restaurant. Awesome owners great food and love the bartenders. Southwest blackened chicken salad is so good.
