Vera is the best! I’ve been going to her for years and am always so happy with the cut and style. She is professional, so friendly, and does the best job with my hair. I always come in with outgrown layers and split ends, and she completely transforms me. I love going to Vera and recommend her to everyone!

I went to Vera’s for the first time today. I just moved to Evanston a couple months ago and Vera’s salon is super close to me, so I thought I’d try it out.

Firstly, I called around 11 so see if there was an appointment available this afternoon and I was sitting in the chair by 1! I really appreciated the accommodation on such short notice.

Vera was so kind and sweet and gave me the EXACT haircut I wanted. There is currently a deal for Northwestern Students for a $35 haircut (which doesn’t include a shampoo or styling). Vera made sure to let me know that there was an additional fee for the extra services. I appreciated her telling me, though I was fine with paying the extra cost.

She treated me with care and respect. I will definitely be back. I highly recommend Vera! She’s awesome!

Gave one of the best haircuts of my life. Works very well with curly hair texture and helped to style my hair after a year of not cutting. Really brought out my jawline and she worked hard to give me a cut that complimented my facial structure. She was super kind and made so much conversation. Also, very affordable cut. $35 in this market is so accessible, given a mediocre cut starts at like $45 these days. Hidden gem, I highly recommend and will be referring all my friends.

I showed Vera 3 reference pictures beforehand and after some questions, she started cutting. Honestly, I was a bit scared because she worked very fast and looked determined, but she was incredible! She stayed very faithful to the reference pics and even made some very helpful suggestions that honestly made my hair look better than the reference picture imo. She has 36 years of experience cutting hair and it definitely showed. She worked fast, didn't waste my time, was incredibly nice, and the haircut was such a good price! If you are an NU student, you have to try this salon!

I had a very friendly conversation with the owner. She provided great service and hospitality. We talked about very interesting topics concerning our backgrounds and her native country. She is highly recommend for a great haircut with a fun conversation!
