Nosrat “Naz” , Sr. Universal Banker, was tremendous to work with in resolving my issues concerning a beloved family member. She was highly professional, very knowledgeable, and truly understood how to efficiently resolve the issue. Though I’d easily rate my overall experience with a 5-star, a recent incident over a $10 charge for a certified check left me somewhat disappointed. As a devoted customer, it was surprising to face a seemingly profit-driven fee, particularly when the actual printing cost is a mere 50 cents, a charge I wouldn’t have minded. It took mentioning a potential bank switch before this fee was waived. Good client relationships should be more transparent and upfront, avoiding situations where customers feel forced to threaten account closure for fair treatment. The service from the agent, Naz, was excellent; she was just performing her duties. However, such policies from upper management can hamper employees from delivering even better service. I genuinely appreciate Old Second Bank – the personal connections feel like meeting friends. But practices like charging for certified checks can be frustrating and seem unreasonable.

Naz was phenomenal and so extremely helpful. We are new to the area and it was so reassuring to know we have a point of contact to help us make sound decisions and support with any questions.
