Lovely, small, old-school family-owned Italian restaurant with generous portions. This is near my folks and it is obvious why it is one of their favorites. Quality of the food is excellent, pasta appears to be house-made as is everything. Garlic dressing for the salad is excellent. I recommend you get a flight of cannoli to take home -- because you will be stuffed. I would advise reservations - and expect to have a relaxing long meal as hand made foodie quality shouldn't, and isn't, rushed.

You can fully expect to have leftovers for another two meals from a serving of most pasta dishes unless you're a gourmand instead of a gourmet.

Cucino Rosa is a small Italian restaurant that is so worth going to. From the time you walk in you are treated like family not a guest. I had the tortalinni ala Panna and it was out of this world. There was so much I brought the rest home. The next day it tasted just as good if not better. Warm bread served as well as your choice of soup or salad. The minestrone soup was delicious. If you want a great place to eat while feeling you are with friends I would definitely recommend.

Absolutely delicious food! We had a good bottle of Josh Cellsrs Cab and some great Italian food! Stuffed shells and linguine with mussels were both delicious 🤤 service was friendly and attentive! Thanks for the yummy meal

awesome! Theminestrone soup was a bit cold, but tasted great. An hour and a half into the dining experience, we still haven’t gotten the main course. So far, it has been worth the wait. I had the Chicken Sorrentino. Man! That was a lot of food! I didn’t even get to the side pasta. Excellent food with enough left for another meal. My wife had the build your own pasta and only had one complaint…not enough sauce. The crème brûlée was t die for! The workers were all fabulous!!!!

My favorite place for Italian in the area. Great family run business that feels like home to me. I am a big fan of their Giambotta.

Very good food, large portions.

I had covid a months ago and was craving soup and pasta. I ordered over the phone and explained that I was covid positive. They had me call when I got there and had someone bring my food outside and placed my bag handles up on a small bench outside the door. I was able to grab my meal quickly without touching their door or being on contact even for a second with another customer or their staff. I appreciated this so much and will never forget their kindness in going the extra mile for their customers.

My wife and I had dinner here for the first time tonight and it was excellent! The staff are friendly and very attentive. The food was excellent! The atmosphere reminded me of family friendly Italian restaurants I grew up going to in Chicago. I had Brioce served over pasta with marinara sauce and it was delicious!
This is going to be my “go to” for Italian food from now on!!! Don’t miss out on an opportunity to eat here!

I've been coming to Cucina Rosa for a couple of years and it's my favorite local Italian restaurant. The serving sizes are large and comes with a salad or soup. I've dined in and takeout. Food is consistently good and I'm always very full afterwards.

My wife and I went there for the first time.
It was recommended by my son and it was as good as he said it would be.
They seated us 35 minutes before closing and they didn't mind. The staff was very courteous and professional, the atmosphere, music were very nice.
The food....was amazing and let's leave it at that.
This is our new favorite spot for fine dining.

Went there with friends who have been there before. 40 min ride BUT WORTH IT!! Love a small family place. The food is amazing and the portions are big. I swear almost everyone was walking out with a to go bag. 4 of us and we all had different dishes. Every dish was so so good. Hubby had Braciole which melted in your mouth. The red sauce is so good. Will definitely be going back.

Had dinner there today. Quite some time until we got back there. The food is as always outstanding, the servers were friendly professional and attentive. Good timing between plates. Our bus girl was very nice, professional, fast and hard working. Very impressive. Time to go back more often.

My friend and I had dinner here three weeks ago. We ordered the special of salmon with shrimp.
It was so DELICIOUS!

I love the old school Italian style, and it wouldn't be Italian without the large portions. They did a great job with my chicken marsala, and every day usually they have a special to go at a very reasonable price a must try if you love Italian food real Italian food.

The cuisine is excellent. We are regulars and have never had a bad dinner. The variety of Italian dishes is exceptional. The service is equal to any Five Star Restaurant.

The food and the service here is always phenomenal. I brought my parents here for my birthday and they fell in love with it too. One of the most underrated places to eat in McHenry!

Such a great find! Pickup was quick and easy. The food was plentiful and delicious! Great flavor and definitely money well spent 🤤 we got a combination of seafood dishes as well as an Alfredo dish. Everything we had eaten was delicious-- calamari, bread, soup, salad and our entrees.

Came here for the first time tonight, to celebrate my birthday with family. The small space and very casual atmosphere belies a large menu with good variety and seriously delicious food. Big portions + reasonable prices = basically 2 meals for one! Will definitely be back to try all the other items on the menu I was torn between. A great local family owned establishment that is worth supporting.
