Amanda Karlen-Eannarino, Psy.D

Dr. Karlen is very versatile in her approach and well experienced to help anyone. She has never made me feel like I need to talk, rather for the times I was unable to communicate or describe what I was feeling, she was there even in silence. In silence, she never continued to prompt me, but also was paying attention to my behaviors and non-verbal body language. With my non verbal cues and my very minimal verbal answers, she still made me feel safe. If anything, I realized she actually took note to my non-verbal cues, and was that great with therapeutic interventions to prompt those cues later to me, when I was able to noticed and work from it. Dr. Karlen never makes you feel like she is giving up or that you have messed up too much as an individual. Dr. Karlen has been essential in making me understand unhealthy boundaries and realizing areas I need to improve on in myself to reach the goals I would like to in treatment. Very intuitive doctor and good at being assertive but compassionate.

Dr. Karlen has helped my daughter for many years while she has struggled with chronic pain from Scoliosis, Tourettes, anxiety, and other teenage stress. My daughter feels safe and comfortable talking about anything with Dr. Karlen, which says a lot because she is very shy. Whenever my daughter is having a tough time, she will ask me to make an appointment with Dr. Karlen for her - she always feels a wave of relief after her sessions. Also, Dr. Karlen offers so many unique and creative solutions. Dr. Karlen's intelligence is mind-boggling in conjunction with her kind heart she is one of a kind and an amazing provider. She will always be a part of our lives.

Honestly there is no one like Dr. Karlen. Amanda has worked with my family for more than 10 years and we would never be where we are today without her. Dr. Karlen is patient, determined and completely invested in seeing that her clients are successful in reaching their goals.

Dr.Karlen has made my life so much better. My last therapist was like me going back to square 1. With Dr.Karlen I feel like she has me fast-tracked me to the finish line! She has helped with my recovery so much!
