The Rococo Dessert Bar

Very cute, small bar nestled away in Kennebunk/Kennebunkport (not over the bridge, but basically there). We went during the off season and there was still a decent crowd. It'll be interesting to see how packed this place gets in the summer time.
While we were there our group got a few different deserts and drinks. I had a cappuccino and thought it was great on a chilly night. Overall the staff was very sweet and welcoming. The location itself is nicely decorated and very inviting, my only concern is potential crowding, but I'm sure they have probably come up with ways to alleviate that. Can't say this is somewhere I'd go on the regular, but it provided a cute get together opportunity with my sisters.

TL;DR: worth a special stop. The only reason this isn't a 4.9/5 star place is some one off no explanation 1 star reviews that seemingly are for the ice cream shop next door (and likey not deserved).

Perfect Rococo vibes coupled with amazingly high quality desserts that are unique in their selection and deliver in the details. Absolutely worth a stop as this exceeded our expectations. The Cake & Caviar plate delivers an assortment of perfect bites and balance throughout. If you think potato chips, caviar, sweet & salty ice cream, olive oil cake, and persimmons don't pair well then you haven't tried it. The Morir Soñando float was far more complex than your average creamsicle bouncing between zesty orange notes, honey sweetness, rich evaporated milk, and crisp carbonated orange deliciousness. Finally the baked Alaska (bearing the name of the establishment and thus a must try) executes the details perfectly: perfect merengue peaks with just the right texture, a creamy and flavor-deep goat cheese blackberry chamboard ice cream with accompanying sauce dashes which delighted, all resting on a base of moist delicious cake. Not cheap, but with it. Trust me.

Prepare to have mind blown.

We stopped by after dinner at a nearby restaurant with little expectations. The interior was hip and all the staff were friendly and knowledgeable. We had the cake and caviar and the cookie royale with a glass of bubbly and red wine. The desserts were unique and delicious. The drink choices accompanied them perfectly. Everything on the menu sounded great so it was a tough choice. If you’re in Kennebunk / Kennebunkport area and looking for a hip delicious after dinner dessert drink place. This is it.

What a delight and excellent addition woven into Kennebunk! The attention to detail, luster and vibrancy are immediately present when you enter but what makes this place special is the love. Lauren, you did it again! May your journey be filled with great health and joy! Salute

We went to grab some ice cream one night and realized that they’d just opened up a dessert bar (that very week) connected to the ice cream storefront! We came back later that night to give it a try and it was phenomenal.

The vibe was perfect: decor, glasses, flatware, even the coasters were all unique and really cool while still coming together into a cohesive theme.

The staff were very friendly and welcoming. We were there on both a slow and a busy night and received attentive service both times.

The drinks and desserts are perfectly crafted. There’s a mix of both classic and unique flavor pairings and there are plenty of options to choose from. The presentation is also quite lovely.

Other quick notes: they are more than happy to make regular cocktails and well drinks. They also have a few local beers available. (But definitely try their cocktails.)

I could go on, but I’ll just say that the dessert bar is now a required stop anytime I’m in the area.

This place is a gem find. Great cocktails and great desserts. Best of both worlds. Gotta try it!
