White Horse Tavern

White Horse always been good until winter 2023. Pizza dough nasty, cook burnt our sampler tray. SLOW RUDE dark haired waitress. We said something about food being wrecked. Owner sat down at our table, started fiddling with our pizza with the spatula saying "oh it looks good. It looks fine" playing with the food!
Then he said "oh I'll just give your drink free." YOU LOST A LIFETIME CUSTOMER 🖕🖕

I had not been here since I was 9 almost 40 years ago when my Dad and I came up from Texas to meet my Uncle John. I remembered this place for all these years and walking in, the corner room and table seemed a little smaller but this place still leaves a lasting impression. It doesn't seem to have changed much but doesn't seem outdated. If you are coming to the area, you need to check out this place. They have great pizza according to everyone else I saw but I had to try the Flint Style coney Island dogs I had tried years before. They were exactly like my Dad used to make, perfect in every way. I will come here as often as I can every time I come to town. Clean bathroom s. Super cold beer as well

Excellent food and excellent service. Big screen tv and great music. My eldest son and I ate at the White Horse Tavern late Friday evening, May 3, 2024. The waitress was great and the food was delicious. We ordered the grilled chicken with fries. It was one of the best dinners ever. I highly recommend the White Horse Tavern for food and drink 🍺. 5 star restaurant bar. And I really like the low lighting. Not like some restaurants that are too bright with the lights. Excellent restaurant to dine at or carryout. Next time I will try their pizza.

First time dinning at the White Horse Tavern. We stopped in with a friend after a day of exploring the area. Service and food was excellent! My burger was cooked to order and the fish and chips was very good. We don’t get in the area very often but we will be repeat customers! I definitely recommend the White Horse Tavern!

04/20/2024: Visited on a Saturday. Had to wait to be seated. Ordered drinks. Busy busy. Hungry for dinner, but ad to be in the art district for a Planetarium show for 8pm, asked for popcorn and was provided popcorn. Paid for popcorn & drinks and raced to the Planetarium show which was great, Dark Side of the Moon.

When the show ended, drove back to the Tavern and sat at the same table. Finally got to order dinner. She had the taco salad and I had the stromboli. Oh my. Sooo good. Thank you for the wonderful meal and we will be back.

First time here on a weekend and it was really good. Above the expectations. Saturday afternoon they had half off pizza for GameDay and the pizza was very good. A ton of cheese on it and was even better left over which isn't always the case for pizza. Drinks were cheap and the atmosphere was fun everyone was friendly.

First of all, major props to this establishment for the breast cancer survivor parking place! First time I've ever seen one and it's amazing!
So, The White Horse Tavern is located not too far from downtown Flint, Michigan. The building is dated but with an appeal that is comforting. You're greeted inside the entrance with restrooms on the leftand a small dining room with about 4-5 tables. As you enter, you're facing the kitchen and bar. As you go to the right, there are several booths and tables until you reach the dining room with it's original fireplace.
Food includes typical bar fare; everything from wings to pizza and Stromboli but then the twist comes; this place serves breakfast 24/7. Our party had everything from fish and chips, to a "mess of smelt" (a small fish that is deep fat fried), a bacon and cheese omelette, a bacon cheeseburger, and French onion soup. All of it was tasty and reasonably priced. Staff was friendly, courteous, and honestly really busy but they handle it well.
Overall, a nice little tavern good for a quick bite, a drink, or a meal. Or, all 3.

OMG! The best pizza in Flint that I’ve ever tried hands down. You can taste every single topping as you bite into the pizza 🍕 plus the Peach Mango Angry Orchard beer is awesome and amazing 🍺 please try this spot out and try the pizza you will thank me later 🤤

Absolutely love the owners and the food. The best prices for the quality and amount of food is truly what small business and community is all about

We went for drinks very nice servers but we'll need to go back for the fish tacos and I hear the pizza is a winner

A nice little gem in Flint. Have only been several times, but I have always had a great meal. Right/near downtown, a number of good options to choose from off the menu. For under $6 you can have 2 coney's and fries. It has been awhile since I had a pizza from here but I remember them being very good (edit: I just had the Stromboli as well. It was on a Saturday. I am not sure if it is the day or time, but I got mine for 50% off. The Stromboli tasted amazing! The pizza smelled so good as well) . Great service, a real nice place just to have a bite to eat. I do not know if ownership has changed yet, but when it does, I hope it stays the same level of quality. If it has, than I say it has kept right up.

Staff was so nice, and food was great, did you know the weekends they have pizza half off??

I've always had good food but once fish was raw but they fixed it but what got me is that we waited a long time got raw fish and a table next to us that got a pizza that was taking a little long got all free bread sticks, it's all good just seemed weird. I ate the raw fish had to wait longer than them and they got free stuff lol it's all good. I even saved 3 people from fighting that night and still not even a free beer and bread sticks. Lolol 😂

Great food at good prices. We love this restaurant. If not too into the bar atmosphere, there's a small room off to the side that is very popular to eat in.

The waitstaff is experienced and good. Service has never been an issue.

The restaurant offers a good selection on the menu and great specials that change daily.

The pizza and the beer were very good but the service was very excellent
