The Book Exchange of Jackson

Gosh! I need to and WILL be shopping downtown Jackson more. The Book Exchange is truly great. And as so many bookstores are gone, it makes this one truly a gem. We will be coming here regularly! (This photo was taken previous to our visit.)

Best place in Jackson Michigan for any avid book lover!! Clearance area was amazing! So many great books at 1 dollar each!! Glad we stopped :)

Really nice book selection. I was happy to see the prices were fair. Left with about a dozen books. A few of which I have not seen in years and kind of forgot about. It will be fun to reread them along with new discoveries. Worth a trip to if your looking to score some books for cheap.

Really liked the newer location. Seemed neater cleaner and we'll set up. Great prices and still had some points for books I had previously contributed. So an extra $1 off for each book, woohoo!

My husband and I visited the new location for the first time this past week and were very impressed! The organization, helpfulness of staff and cleanliness were wonderful! We will definitely return!

I was visiting from out of town and looking for something to do and by chance I found this gem of a place. As a huge book worm this place was an amazing find. I wish we had a place like this where I live, the amount of books, prices and deals were amazing! If I am ever back in Jackson I will be coming back!

Nicely set up local bookstore, very reasonable prices and they also buy books too! Books are nicely organized by last name alphabetically and sorted out into genres and categories. They also have a clearance section in the back!

Great place for a family trip. There are books and magazines for all ages. The prices are very reasonable. If you have an account with 'book' credit you get more of a discount. For my family it's better than the library because the selection is amazing and I dont have to worry about returning books on time. Once we finish our books we save them until we have a decent paper bag full then return them for the exchange credit.

Its a nicely organized book store. Everything was clean and tidy. The lady working there was nice. They have a huge selection. However, I didn't find much in the way of newer books. I also didn't find a good selection of scifi or parnormal fiction, which is what I was looking for.

Huge selection of books of all kinds. Helpful staff. You can bring in books you no longer want and get credit towards the books you purchase. They also keep credit on file if you do not use it all at the time. We have had many trips here. My husband and I are both avid readers.

Great selection of books with flat rate pricing based on if it is a small softcover or large softcover, small hardcover or large hardcover. They have used textbooks, fiction, do it yourself, pretty much anything you can think of. Organized very well for the volume and different types of books they have. You never know what you'll find in here.

Great prices, excellent selection and wonderful service! It is located in the nicest downtown area in Jackson. I love the concept and implementation of a book exchange. I would recommend this bookstore!

Great book store. Went to check it out with our kid and got 5 board books for $6. Clean store, great selection.

The smell of the pages and the chime at the door. The ladies sitting pretty at the counter made me feel welcomed. I had been in there a thousand times and will go back a thousand times. Also check out the hand made jewelery. Gorgeous and inexpensive plus you can tell she puts her all in to creating beautiful pieces. All are unique, every one of them is different and she doesn't duplicate them. In fact I may stop in there tomorrow.

Wide, rotated selection of fiction AND non-fiction books, so there's plenty for both me and my wife. Get a free account with them and save even more money through trade-ins. We've never left here with less than a full box of books.

The Book Exchange is awesome! It’s perfect to go and browse they have so many different types of books and great prices! I love that you can drop off books for credit too.

I love this place! Staff are very friendly and helpful. I bring bags of books and after finding my treasures my bags await to be filled again. And I approve of masks!

Wonderful place to visit if you love to read. Exchange your old book you no longer read for new books, then come back and do it again. Great place to get cheap text books as well if you can find them.
