Update: 03/21/2024: I didn't know the service and food could get better?? Jimmy was absolutely AMAZING and went way above and beyond! The Salmon with lemon vinaigrette was so delicious and the drinks were pouring! Great service, delicious food... I've already recommended to others and clearly came back!!

I cannot say enough great things about this place. The food never disappoints, service is always great, and the atmosphere is so perfect. I’ve been coming here for over a year now and I can honestly say it’s officially become my favorite restaurant. It’s perfect for a go to dinner with the girls or a fun dinner date. Highly recommend and every option on the menu is good!

It seemed a little strange to go to a hotel lobby to eat at the restaurant but we had heard great things and had to give it a try.

The restaurant was very clean and modern and the food smelled delicious. We are outside and started with the Verona Dip. It had very good flavor and the house sausage was very good. We also split the Baked French Onion Soup and it was some of the best I have had.

For our main dishes I had the Pasta Rustico which was amazing. The sauce and sausage was very similar to the dip but the peppers and pasta were very fresh. The wife had the Crispy Chicken Cristoforo. The chicken had a great crisp to it and the lemon sauce was delicious.

The wait staff was also very friendly and attentive even though we decided to dine outside.

We will definitely be going back.

Out experience was wonderful! We drove an hour to eat and it was worth every mile! We will be back. Dana S was our bartender and she was amazing! Very personable and friendly. Oh, did I mention how fresh and good the food is!! 😋

Great atmosphere, great staff and the food is top notch. I have yet to try something off of the menu that disappointed me.

We had a few of our family events in their private room and we will definitely be going back there for more events.

I had both my bridal and baby shower here! Bridal was in April 2021 and baby was in Sept 2022! Both time the staff and food were amazing! We come here also regularly because we love the food so much! Always a 10/10. We had a great experience.

We sat at the bar for dinner and the two bartenders were fabulous! Very personable and friendly. The pizza was definitely the best we have ever had. Breakfast the next morning was equally as good! We plan to eat there one more time tonight and I am really looking forward to it.

I stayed 4 nights at Cambria Hotel in which Verona resides. The food here is amazing! My first night there, there was a wedding party going on, the place was packed. The next morning I tried their breakfast. I tried the Verona Hash which consisted of 2 overlay over-easy, Rinaldi sausage, roasted potatoes, sweet and spicy peppers, caramelized onions, and spinach, it'll cost ya $14. There were so many flavors going on inside my mouth at one time, and my taste buds loved it! That night I tried the 12 oz. Tomahawk Pork Chop, with garlic herb butter, and herb roasted potatoes, it'll cost ya $32. One word describes it.... DELICIOUS! I also tried they're Blueberry Ricotta Pancakes ($13) which is a stack of 3, served with vanilla whip and fresh blueberries baked inside, and maple syrup. I added a side of Detroit sausage links, it'll cost ya $19 together. The pancakes were so big they almost hung off the plate! I tried my best to finish them but I couldn't. They were so fluffy and moist. They paired well with the Detroit sausage. I also tried the Chicken Cristoforo as a recommendation from our server. It comes with fried chicken but I had mine modified with grilled chicken instead. The meal comes with garlic asparagus, Mascarpone whipped potatoes, and Lemon Berries Blanc, it'll cost ya $29. This dish was incredible too. I see why people travel to this hotel just to eat here. Every morning and night the restaurant was packed. You won't be disappointed trying Verona! Make sure you check out the bar too, the drinks are real!

I eat here when I stay at the hotel or when I just want a nice vibe with good food.

The workers are always cool and respectful, but most importantly, my food always comes out good. No matter how many people I eat with 🤣.

We had a great experience for our first time at Verona. While the menu items may be a bit pricey, they are more than worth it. Every dish we ordered was absolutely delicious and beautifully presented. Can't wait to come back!

Not only is Verona our favorite restaurant, our favorite server works there! Jimmy is the absolute best! Prompt, courteous, knowledgeable and funny! And given the number of thwarted crimes in the area (and suspiciously dark eye makeup) we're pretty sure he's batman. (Pork shank for scale)

Time and time again this place never fails to impress me! There changing menu specials, insanely high quality plates and great atmosphere keep me coming back. Also really good with dietary restrictions while still making an excellent meal.

We splurged on drinks, apps, dinner, & dessert. It was so worth it!
The craft cocktails were on point, the arancini was delicious too. I had the Petite Filet Oscar dinner, which was the tastiest I've ever had. The Steak Siciliano was better than grandma's (shhhh).
Save room for dessert - yummy salted caramel brownie. Can't wait to have all my leftovers tomorrow.
The staff & atmosphere were both outstanding. Take a walk outside & check out the patio too!

Once again last nights All Provider meeting was a total hit! The food was just outstanding Chef Sam did a fantastic job the doctors loved the food! Also, a HUGE shout out to Drake, Liz, and Meghan for being the most attentive servers ever, they totally ROCK!!!!! Ashley, I really appreciate your help in coordinating another successful event for us!!
We will be having our next All Provider meeting there!

Alicia was an excellent server who made great recommendations. I especially loved the beef tips appetizer bc it’s served with mushrooms and onions which most places don’t usually include. The place was busy but the team held it down and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves.

I have had a peanut/tree nut allergy my whole life. Therefore, when going out to eat, I always have to ask about cross contamination and the type of oil the restaurant cooks in. Most places now a days cook in canola or vegetable oil, which is great! However, within this past month though, I have been to two very popular and well established restaurants in Macomb County that still cooked with peanut oil. I was extremely disappointed that restaurants in 2024 are not accommodating to the most common food allergy. Going out to eat with food allergies and dietary restrictions as well has always been difficult for me.

Today, I went to Verona Inspired Italian for dinner and I was blown away because the entire restaurant is peanut, tree nut, and sesame free!! Out of my 22 years of living, I have never been to a peanut/ tree nut free restaurant in Michigan! Not to mention, their menu also contained a lot of vegan, vegetarian, and gluten free options. Personally, I am vegetarian and I loved the large variety of options because I’m so used to “slim pickings” at other restaurants.

Thank you so much Verona for being so accommodating to all! The food was absolutely delicious and such large portions were served. In addition, the service, drinks, and atmosphere were amazing! We will definitely be back! 10/10 recommend!

I am staying at the hotel. After a long day, I decided to order dinner and eat in my room. I ordered the Pollo Caprese. It had delicious spices, tomato slices and fresh mozzarella slices. It was delicious. Only thing that would have made it better is if they gave you two dinner rolls to soak up the amazing juice.

Sooooooo delicious. They had multiple vegan options. Also the vegan lemon cake- absolutely to die for. My mom loved it too and she's not even vegan! Would definitely come again!!

Amazing experience! They have a kitchen manager/cook named Daniel that is absolutely phenomenal! Everything I ordered/ate was nothing short of awesome! Kudos to the vartender as well for keeping up a great cinversatuon!

Shelby Township has a new gem- Verona, inspired Italian by Fabio Viviani, located inside the Cambria Hotel.

Some may consider me bias, as the executive chef, Salvatore Borgia, is my brother-in-law; however, with flavors like these, there is simply no need to embellish. My husband and I ventured out for the first time in what seems like ages, as we are very “Covid cautious” people, and have not felt comfortable dining out. On that note, I will touch on the fact that the staff there made us feel very comfortable, wearing masks, and gloves, and keeping distance whenever possible. However, I do not want that to be the focus of my review.

Let’s talk hand-crafted cocktails. I started by asking the bartender for her suggestion- a “#4”, a sweet spirit containing gin, fresh strawberries, and prosecco, amongst a few other ingredients. I’d say it was an elevated strawberry lemonade, simply stated, delicious, and what will likely be my most ordered drink upon future visits. After dinner, I tried the “#3”, suggested by our waitress. A crisp, refreshing, cucumber spirit, that reminded me of summertime. The drink contained house-made ginger syrup, which made it all that more refreshing. Another drink I will likely order again.

We started off with Fried Calamari and Zucchini “Bibzi Style”, which gave the well-known dish a unique, sweet and spicey twist. I kind of like to think of myself as a calamari coinsure, as it is one of my most favorite appetizers, and is my “go to” at any restaurant. The light and airy coating on the calamari was like nothing I have ever had before. It provided that crispiness one desires and expects in a breading, but provided a lightness that was unexpected. We also ordered the Charred Octopus- to say that the plating for the charred octopus was aesthetically pleasing, is an understatement. The artistic creation that transpired on that plate was nothing short of mesmerizing. Personally, I am not a huge fan of octopus; the texture is typically a bit overwhelming for my liking. However, this octopus was cooked to perfection, which allowed me to focus more on the taste, than the texture, and the balsamic, lemon beurre blanc that it was served atop provided the extra flavors I needed to make it a dish definitely worth a dabble at the least.

For entrées, my husband ordered the “Cioppino Royale”, a seafood dish containing an array of favorites, served in a white wine marinara; and I ordered the “Crispy Chicken Cristoforo”, a breaded chicken breast, served with garlic asparagus, mascarpone whipped potatoes, and a lemon beurre blanc cream sauce. While I cannot speak much on the Cioppino Royale, based on my husband’s reaction, I’d say a must try dish for any seafood lover. The white wine marinara serves as a broth for the seafood, and was seasoned to such perfection that we actually had the waitress box up the remainder and took it home! We cooked up some pasta the next day and used it as a sauce, something I highly recommend to anyone who tries this dish. My Crispy Chicken Cristoforo was juicy on the inside, and crisp on the outside; perfectly paired with the mascarpone whipped potatoes and lemon beurre blanc, absolutely mouthwatering. I am an avid mushroom lover, so I had to try the sauteed wild mushrooms too; which were a delectable addition to my dish.

No dinner out is complete without dessert, and I am so very happy we made sure to save some room to enjoy it. We shared two desserts, the Verona Mocha, and the Salted Caramel Gelato. The Verona Mocha was to die for; I love chocolate, and this dish did not disappoint. A mocha cheesecake sits atop an espresso brownie, and is finished off with a homemade roasted marshmallow crème- absolutely remarkable. Last, but definitely not the least, the Salted Caramel Gelato. The presentation was, yet again, extremely pleasing. The gelato was served in a stainless-steel footed dish with dry ice spouting from a chamber below. Honestly, no words can do the presentation justice; you just have to check it out for yourself.
