Tru by Hilton Midvale Salt Lake City

Good location. Not a far drive from anywhere, with plenty to eat around, even walking distance. and a grocery store across the street. Super nice staff. If you are familiar with the brand, it's nice and tidy, and more budget friendly usually, so don't expect huge spacious rooms. It's clean, comfortable, convenient, and priced right and really all you need and then some if you are planning on spending most of your time out of the hotel. We really liked it here.

I did not stay or make reservations at this hotel, however, I did stop here on my walk to my destination further up the road to warm up in this 30 degree Utah weather and was impressed by how understanding the Hawaiian Lady at the front desk was. She was very hospitable and polite, that alone made me want to make a reservation here. The lobby bathroom was very clean and this hotel has some amenities outside the norm. There is a pool table in the lobby! And a gym with free weights! I highly recommend this hotel.

This is the best hotel I have ever stayed at! Perfect sized rooms, very clean, and great service. The breakfast every morning is amazing, plenty of amenities to enjoy. Clean gym and pool as well. Would recommend staying here to anyone!

I am now a Tru customer for life. The rooms are affordable yet clean and offer everything you would need. The breakfast was good for a hotel hot breakfast, my 6-year-old particularly liked the sprinkles on his pancake and hot bacon. The bed is COMFORTABLE, to the point I have asked them how and where do I buy the sheets. Cherry on top is every staff member I talked to was friendly and helpful. What a breath of fresh air for the hospitality industry, nice job Midvale!

Stayed here after visiting the mighty 5 national parks. It was clean, modern, and the employees we're kind.

Rooms / hotel was very clean. Was so happy when I called to see if we could check in a little early. So many things nearby ( food options and a grocery store across parking lot ) . Good breakfast options. a/c did make some clicking noises. Otherwise great stay.

Very clean and well maintained. Newer (built in 2019 they said) and staff was very friendly. Breakfast was as expected but cleanly maintained. Pool table, hot tub, pool, gym, all very nice addons. I felt safe and comfortable here. Beds and pillows also very comfortable. No closet space in the room, open concept, but no big deal. Would stay again. Would recommend.

I like this place. I slept great, it was quiet. Mattress firmness was perfect. I thought it was clean, comfy, nice and modern. Breakfast was the best continental breakfast I have had in a hotel in a long while. Doesn't beat European cont breakfast but it is better than most in the US. Staff was friendly and courteous. Coffee is pretty good too which is surprising for anything that offers coffee in UT other than coffee shops. Prices were pretty good too.

By far my favorite cheaper hotel while traveling. Staff was super nice. I loved how lit up the parking lot was. I felt safe in the area. The bedroom was really fun looking and modern. I liked that it was around attractions and places with food. I loved the breakfast bar in the morning.

Just two concerns I wish were different.
1) there was no microwave
2) the bed frame stuck out just enough from the mattress that it scraped the back of my lower legs whenever I got out of bed.

The amenities and overall space is great. The staff was super friendly and accommodating.
Great location next to top golf and many stores and restaurants.
My only comment on the rooms is that I wish there were closets and drawers for clothes. I don't like living out of my suitcase.
But overall, it's a great hotel

My wife and I were very impressed with our stay here. We have definitely found our hotel of choice!
Everything was clean, seemed new, and we loved the modern feel. Hardwood floors made us much more comfortable than any other hotel we've been in (No icky carpet). I haven't seen a bathroom that was as clean either. The bed was comfy and the larger than average TV was cool.
Only minor complaints would be that the brightness of the TV wasn't adjustable and too bright for my liking (while trying to watch in the dark) and there was a slight gap in the door letting in light from the hallway. These things didn't take away from the pleasure of our stay though.
Using your phone to check in and as a key card is something I look forward to using at our next visit.

Comfortable and nice hotel. Love the cleanliness and the color. Love the breakfast and the swimming pool. Nice hotel for family, staycation or business. We got the connect room, it is so nice. Our kids can sleep in another room while we were playing board game in the another room and we can still check on them. Connect room is the best for family.

After a terrible experience at another hotel and needing to relocate quick, this hotel was perfect. They listened to our experience and even allowed us an early check in so we could put our things down. The room was clean, the beds comfortable, and we love the connected room aspect. Never needing to pick up the remote, but instead use my phone?? Yes, please! Also love the soap, lotion, and hair products attached to the wall. No more mess! Amazing hotel.

My husband and I were very impressed with our stay here. We have definitely recommend to stay.
Everything was clean and friendly staff. good facilities, I really like the quantity they provided (hand wash, shampoo, hair conditioner, body wash and body lotion quantity). I'm sure only very few hotels provides that.
This is the one of the good affordable place to stay.

This is a nice, new, and location-friendly hotel. Do you like Top Golf? It shares a parking lot, pretty much. Do you like eating? Many great restaurants nearby. You can also drop your car off for an oil change and/or get a car wash near here too!

This is a great hotel! We stayed here for three nights and have no complaint at all. Everything is new, clean and modern. I worried that the room might be small before coming here because it was mentioned by some other reviews, but our room is spacious enough. The breakfast is great too. Staffs are nice and made us feel welcomed. I’m surprised to find out that it’s only a two-star hotel - they are beyond that.

Nice clean rooms had all the linens we needed. Built in lotions, soaps and shampoos. Nice pool.

Very comfortable beds. We'd rather stay in a hotel like this than the Hilton resorts we stayed in.

Breakfast was very good. They had a magic pancake maker that turned of delicious fluffy pancakes and were interesting and fun to see being made.

Love how comfortable their rooms are! Great staffs & very clean! Love how they have real fruits like watermelon & cantaloupe for breakfast instead of just apples and bananas!
