HOUSE BAKED BREAD!!! Which in turn is used for the French Toast!!! They have an incredible breakfast sausage link recipe that's literally next level, if they could elevate the syrup to an amber grade A Maple from Vermont this would legitimately be gourmet. Perfectly poached eggs crispy bacon pancakes were a little underwhelming but hands down one of the finer meals I've had in Michigan, their American fries are honestly fire well done! Kudos to the Chef

Old diner breakfast experience. The wait was only 5 minutes at 1pm in a Sunday. The food was great. Fair prices. Can't wait to visit again.

We took our friends from California here for breakfast and it was the best choice ever! We all had something special different and everything was amazing! The homemade toast was a highlight, crusty outside, and clouds inside! Cooked to order and delicious!

We've lived here a year and just finally got a chance to go in we will definitely be back. Orders are huge and yummy

I’ve visited Ludington frequently and yet this was the first time I went to Old Hamlin- how is it this amazing?!?!?!? My mom and I had a lunch special which included a trip to the salad/soup bar and endless fried fish. The salad bar was top-tier and fresh. The soup was homemade. We also received a thick slice of warm, homemade bread. The fish was lightly breaded and perfect. Neither of us could finish our meal and we were blown away at how affordable and superb everything was down to the customer service. Definitely plan on returning. If you like homemade cooked meals and comfort food, please try them!!!

Talk about going down memory lane. This nostalgic restaurant is absolutely fantastic if you're looking for home cooking and excellent service from their staff. Their breads were fresh out of the oven and the raisin bread was to die for. Not to mention their French toast made with fresh Made bread. The country fried steak and eggs was the best I Ever Had. Next time you're in town do yourself a favor and stop in for breakfast. You won't be disappointed. If you can find a table it was standing room only when we went there and rightly so!

A wonderful dining experience with exceptional service from Aminda. Cozy atmosphere, reasonable prices, and an ALL YOU CAN EAT Soup and SALAD BAR with homemade bread. I ordered the Beef Melt, stacked with Fries on the side, which is one of the best meals I've had in a long time. We also ordered coffee, and it is definitely an above average cup of Joe. Looking forward to eating here again next time we're in town.

It's like stepping back in time from the pictures on the wall to the music! The homemade meatloaf and macaroni and cheese was exceptional and our waitress was excellent. Be sure to save room for dessert! We couldn't eat it there, but took a piece of Coconut Meringue pie with us. It was the best coconut pie we've ever had!!

I always wanted to try this restaurant and was so glad we finally did! Now, I cannot wait to return!!!! The salad bar was excellent and the homemade soup (Beef vegetable) was outstanding!!!! The homemade bread, also outstanding! We had the Lake Perch and New York Strip, which was tender and practically melted in my mouth.
The waitress, Beverly, was attentive, knowledgeable and extremely kind. She gave us a little history of the place which we thoroughly enjoyed hearing about.
If ever in the area, this unassuming little place is a must stop in! The ambience is like a step back in time. You won’t regret it.

Great service, very good food, and fair prices. Even though the restaurant is very old and historic, it is very clean and efficient. We especially liked the homemade bread and dark roast coffee.

The quirky little bathrooms by themselves are reason to visit this place.

The Old Hamlin Inn is one of my favorite places to eat in the Ludington area. I frequented the area for work over the summer and would often stop here for lunch or dinner. I remembered this restaurant from my childhood and thought I’d see if it was still the same as I remembered it. To my pleasure, it was! I love the country fried steak, and I really love the raisin toast! They make their own toast and with butter and syrup it is almost like cake. I will definitely be returning!

Awsome home made meals. Chicken is always tender and cooked perfectly. The soups are home made, flavorful and amazing. The salad bar has dressings made here and salad is always fresh. I would like to not recommend the tapioca pudding, but it would be selfish. It is homemade and the best I've had. The bread is homemade and can be purchased to go. When in town, stop in and say hi to Marsha.

Excellent service from Alexis! I was very happy w my breakfast. Over easy eggs cooked perfectly, sausage patties were super tasty & tender, the super thick homemade toast was crispy on the outside & fluffy on the inside. The sausage gravy was pretty good. The pancake was very fluffy & thick. Food tasted very homemade. They also made a whole carafe of decaf coffee just for me. We will definitely return next time we’re in town.

Great breakfast and their soups are delicious. Their homemade bread makes the best toast! I will usually order 5 or 6 loaves to take home and share with my family. They all love it too.

This place is the perfect hometown diner. The food is perfect. The service is flawless. The prices are reasonable. Highly suggested. You won't be disappointed.

The homemade chicken noodle soup was superb! The noodles are homemade as is soup. The grilled cheese sandwiches were huge! The food was excellent and service was top notch. Alexis couldn’t be more gracious! She is a gem! Too bad we don’t live in area or we would frequent often!

Toast has never gotten a review in the history of the food.. but The Old Hamlin has the best toast in the world… if you haven’t tried it, you wouldn’t understand.

Lovely little restaurant downtown. Had the veggie omelet. More veggies would have been great with a few less potatoes. The biscuits and gravy were great. Hubby had veggie skillet with homemade bread toast and loved it!

Probably one of my new favorite places in Ludington. This place has been around since the 1940s, it's family-owned, and makes absolutely delicious meals for lunch. They make their own bread and it is exceptional. Definitely give the beef steak sandwich a shot, it was incredible. they used the same bread for their French toast I haven't had a chance to have it yet, but I'll definitely be back to give it a try.
Overall, it's a great place and if you are in the area make sure to try it out!

The food was plentiful and amazing. Kind of an old school feel to the place. They were busy but we were waited on quickly. Some were having breakfast. We will have to go back to try it.
