Hui's Chow Mein

We gave Hui’s a try the other night. We ordered a few chicken dishes and we liked every one we tried. The Kung Bo could be spicier. But overall it was really good. Made quickly. No hassles at all. This place is cash only and there isn’t much parking for take out. Best bet is to get dropped off, have the driver go around the block, then pick you up again.

We didn’t get the fried rice or the egg rolls which get really good reviews on here. So we will try both of those next time.

We wanted to try a new Chinese take-out place and we found this little gem here. This place is literally a hole-in-the-wall restaurant, which is what makes it special.

We couldn't find their menu, but when we called the place the woman on the other end was very accommodating and helped us place an order for what we were looking for.

When we got there to pick it up the service was great. You could tell they appreciate your business. She tossed a menu in the bag so we will be able to order better next time.

When we got home, we both enjoyed our meals. They were delicious.... Our only critique is the egg rolls were a bit different than what we are used to. They were still good though. Will definitely be ordering from this place again!

P.S. they only accept cash. Which isn't a big deal for us because we prefer paying in cash anyways, but for others reading this review heads up.

A strange, but wonderful little hole in the wall in North Minneapolis, but ABSOLUTELY worth the trip.

With a front door you would expect to find at a house and the plexiglass wall with sliding window and loudspeaker, you kinda feel like you stepped through a wormhole into an old subway station somewhere, but the menu is posted right on the glass and for $20 (plus tax) I got 2 combo plates that included the entrees (which were cooked fresh and tasted amazing), chicken fried rice and egg rolls. I was in and out in less than 10 minutes and was very pleased with everything. I will absolutely be returning soon.

WARNING: they do only take cash, but if push comes to shove the market nextdoor has an ATM, so it's not a huge deal.

General Tso's was spicey and delicious, fried rice was perfect. I don't really like the egg rolls here but the rest of the food was surprisingly tasty.

The shrimp fried rice was Delicious !! I included menu since no one has posted menu recently.

I love there fried rice

The szechuan beef was exciting to eat. Thick, savory, and spicy with crisp veggies. Egg rolls were excellent and the white rice was fluffy and sooo easy to shovel down, Guku style.

They also goofed on an item but happily remade the correct one and had us keep the extras.

Since the pandemic started they haven’t been open as far as I know, but I really hope they open again soon! LOVE the egg rolls and well priced meals

The all day specials turn out to be 8$ now BUT all worth it. Great food, great deals. Been eating here since I was a kid 🐒

Best Chinese food and down I love Chinese food but the only place I can order anything and absolutely love it always made fresh to order don't take long and great customer service skills

Place gives hot freshly cooked food, good prices and the food is better then any other Chinese food place in the area....

Best chow mein in America! Been all over the country and no one makes chow mein like Hui's.
