Every employee I encountered seemed to really enjoy working there. This doesn't always happen! The front desk was super willing to stop and help when they noticed any hesitation near the desk. The woman working F&B every morning was always smiling and seemed to really want for everyone to have a great day. LOVED THE LAUNDRY ROOM AMENITY! The room was clean and well thought out. 5 minute walk to campus - perfect for me in every way

The woman that checked us in seemed distracted. When we got our keys, I asked which way we needed to go to get to our room and all she said was to take the elevator. I ended up having to look up the hours for the pool and breakfast because she never told us.

The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the breakfast was decent.

This stay was beyond excellent; made that way by the extremely genial staff. The location was perfect for our needs also. Our room was clean and comfortable. The only small thing that was a negative is that non of the USB ports were operable. That was easily solved by bringing in our own chargers for our devices. I can't wait to go back in the nicer weather to try out the rooftop bar.

So technically I stayed at the Home2 hotel but the front desk was closed and I had the Hampton employees so I'm leaving the review on here. I hope this message gets to the manager because these 2 employees need to be recognized for their service. I was checked in by Justin and he was just super friendly and wonderful to interact with (actually quite rare at the hotels here). It was Thanksgiving but came up for my sons birthday. He tried so hard to let me know a place I could get food since everything was closed.
Later in the night I went down to the store and was telling Cynthia (the other front desk worker) about my frustrating night with finding food and what not. Justin overheard and told my daughter and I to get something from the store on him. I was almost in tears after having the night I had and his hospitality was incredible. They both were just so friendly even though they were both working the holiday.
I have stayed in many hotels and have found that my best experiences are at Hamptons or home2s but this one just topped them.
My room was spacious and clean and just really enjoyed my stay. Minus the $22 parking lol but having employees like that made it almost worth it.

I had such a great 5 night stay. The room was quiet and clean. The staff were very helpful. The pool is not huge, but certainly big enough to have lots of fun. The building shares a rooftop patio that provide a great place to relax. Breakfast was acceptable (with the exception of some strange eggs), but overly impressive. It's proximity to campus makes it great choice for those that don't mind a walking exploration. There are also some great places to eat nearby. I would definitely pick this spot again!

I just stayed here for a few days with my boyfriend and this is one guy of the nicest hotels i’ve been to. The staff was very kind and Haley was giving great recommendations. The parking and location isn’t the greatest, but the rooms and service make up for it.

Wonderful, kind, and helpful staff. Very clean hotel. Person who prepared breakfast was helpful to what I can eat with my dietary restrictions. Beautiful lobby and rooms. Fridge included with our room. (shockingly, this is not standard nowadays!) Seemed like a safe area too. I don't sleep the best on down pillows, but some people might. If you're like me, you may want to bring your own pillow, but everything else was absolutely amazing.

A delightful place to stay, and most of the staff was super friendly and helpful. Loved all the small accents and touches - such as the apple bowl because it was harvest season, or tea and water available at all times of day, or even a prestigious newspaper title available to read. The King rooms come with a nice couch and desk and bed, basically all you need. Location is close to campus, the Tower, and several restaurants, while a bar in the neighbouring connected establishment is open in the evenings. What more could you ask for ?

Note: it says Speedway but I was reviewing the Hampton Inn.

This was my first experience traveling cross the country, let alone doing it by myself. This is was a great place to stay, super accommodating, great location near the light rail that connects the twin cities and overall just a great place.

Apologies for positing this here; I live overseas so i am unable to call you and i was unable to find an email address.

Stayed here for an event at my son’s school. The hotel was in walking distance of the university and connected to the Hilton. The rooms were clean. The staff was amazingly kind and accommodating. The food and drinks at the bar on the Hilton side was really good. There’s an indoor pool for swimming. Looks like the kids were enjoying themselves. The morning continental breakfast was pretty good. The only con was the morning breakfast guy. The guy had a not pleasant or friendly attitude and had a ball cap on that was slightly tilted every morning we went down. Outside of that the hotel itself was very nice. We would return for sure!

The doors to the hotel are always locked so even at the side entrance, it’s ok to ring the bell for assistance. I didn’t know that so I walked to the front. Not a problem, just an fyi if anyone parks to the left of the building.
My room was 517. It was large and clean and had a nice layout. No view whatsoever, but I can only blame myself on that one because I picked the room when choosing my room online.

Large clean rooms. New hotel. Included breakfast Ok, nothing fancy but has essentials. Did not like use of disposable cutlery.

This is my go to when visiting the university area. Staff always goes above and beyond, always cheerful and willing to help. Rooms and facilities are clean, beds are comfortable and it's within walking distance to a few pretty good restaurants.

During multiple stays in the winter the people shoveling the snow even went above and beyond to clear the snow off my car and clean out my windshield wipers.

Only gripe is the lack of free parking

The people and accommodations were phenomenal! Everything felt right - clean, welcoming, and safe. Be aware that there's an extra charge to park on-site, which is a bummer and adds up during an already-expensive stay. Overall, it was outstanding!

This was one of our best hotel stays ever! The room was exceptionally clean, well maintained, and comfortable. We had the option of parking in the underground parking garage for added security; we highly recommend this option if you stay in the University area Hampton, whereas the garage was clean, convenient, and very secure. Parking is $22.00 per night, but the cost is worth the added layer of security (in the garage). Beds and pillows were comfy, great water pressure in the shower, and plenty of countertop space in the bathroom and in the room for organizing our items. The free breakfast was a bonus, offering eggs/omelets, sausage, fresh fruit, waffles, toast, a variety of juices, coffee, etc.; plenty of options for everyone. There’s a hidden gem with ~10 different eating concepts located about 2 blocks from the hotel called The Market at Malcolm Yards. We ate here multiple times during our 3 day stay, whereas it was a quick walk from the hotel and offered something to satisfy everyone (burgers, Asian food, variety of pasta, pizza, Mexican food, self-serve beer, ice cream, vegan options, etc.). As a side note, we found out the hard way that it’s best to spend a few extra dollars to take an Uber or Lyft rather than using the light rain/bus transit system to get to tourist attractions. After a scary experience, we learned the light rail in Minneapolis is the most dangerous in the country. (We had a car on this trip, but it was tricky finding parking in the city, so we utilized Uber which was super convenient. There was always an Uber driver within 3-10 minutes from our location.) If ever in Minneapolis again, we’ll definitely book another room at the Hampton!

Have recommended Hampton Inn to friends that would visit, since it was just a few blocks from where live. I've walked, driven by a million times and now finally stayed in preparation for moving out of town. This place absolutely great. Had a suite room which spacious, comfortable, well laid out, clean and everything else good. I forgot to mention I thought the nightly rates were a very good deal compared to others in the area.

They have a great breakfast included. The kitchen staff works hard to make sure all the food is stocked, hot, tastes good, and also very friendly. They do a great job and take pride in what they do .
The rest of the staff also was extremely helpful, pleasant, and eager to please.

Thank you! I will definitely keep recommending this Hampton Inn, and hopefully have a chance to visit again.

Very clean hotel, incredibly friendly staff who was willing to answer our questions about the area. The hotel itself smelled incredibly clean, the breakfast had a great variety and tastes great. The parking and overflow parking were very cool convenient. This hotel is well worth what you pay. We had a great trip to Minneapolis because of our stay here. Everyone was super friendly and we never ran into a single issue....and we get picky when it comes to our hotel stays.
