Singapore Chow Mai fun so delicious! Spicy and well seasoned! My new favorite! I ordered with added veggies. Yum takeout and delivery no indoor dining room. Fast and hot!

Amazing I ordered through doordash and holy ! The lo mein is absolutely delightful, with its comforting warmth, and the shrimp egg rolls are truly exceptional. I highly recommend trying them as the food was still extremely hot and satisfying.

Love the food, always tears great! Although the young girl who I believe is the daughter of the owners needs could be more professional and not be on her phone while I'm ordering. And h we r customer service skills could use some work too.

Something has changed at Hop Wong, and it's fantastic. I'd call them a solid 3 star in the past, but now 5 stars. First off, we were over the moon when we could upgrade to fried rice instead of wasting white rice and having to buy a separate fried rice order. The shrimp were the largest I've ever seen in a combo fried rice, and all the meat was large enough to identify.

For entrees, we ordered the Happy Family and garlic spicy shrimp. I love that the main vegetables were not onions, there was plenty of broccoli, celery, carrots, even peas, and both were very tasty. I loved that the shrimp was spicy, but very flavorful. I hate it when places think hot is a flavor. We will definitely be eating here more often.

The employees are hard working and help deliver the best meal to you! I’ve enjoyed their steamed dumplings and general Tso’s chicken that comes with a side of rice.

First off, the food is great (fried rice isn't my favorite but that's preference). It's fairly normal for cheap chinese places to get your order wrong, so I wasn't expecting perfection on my fairly large order right at lunch. Order showed up on exact requested time, everything perfect, only without the drinks - whatever, no big deal, just mildly disappointing. Driver texts me shortly after saying he forgot the drinks and will drop them off soon. I'm surprised he even noticed, much less bothered to make the trip back and forth over a couple drinks, while I'm sure they were fairly busy. Pretty happy with them, food was great, seems like employees are on top of things.

I have gotten delivery from this restaurant a few times since the shutdown and I like it! I order the Moo Goo Gai Pan and the chicken is so tender and the vegetables are very fresh. It’s been hit or miss on some other things, such as the overly breaded lemon chicken, but live and learn. I found a few dishes we can rely on and we’re happy to support this very small business. Bonus = it’s cheap and Door Dash delivery has always been surprisingly speedy.

The Shrimp Egg Foo Young & Shrimp Fried Rice are
the best. The delivery is always fast and the food is
hot. The girl taking orders on the phone talks very fast
and always seems in a hurry so make sure you know
what you want ahead of time. We will no doubt keep
ordering from them. Plus they use Large Shrimp. Not
the baby shrimp some places use.

We have gotten Hop Wong takeout for years and years. It is decent Chinese American food. They will make adjustments per request (even when you order online). Delivery is speedy. We've never had bad service in the restaurant. The staff have always been polite. Overall, they are a good choice. Try a variety of things and see what becomes your favorite. We love Singapore noodles (spicy).

I tried a lot of American-style Chinese delivery options around the Twin Cities (and was feeling disappointed with all of them) before I stumbled upon a Hop Wong menu dropped off in my building lobby. They've been my go to ever since -- the food is always fresh (steamed veggies, not-too-greasy, good chicken meat, etc) and flavorful. The fried rice is also a make/break item for a takeout place and Hop Wong has, by far, the best fried rice of all the options around. I also like their battered style of lemon chicken, which is the way I remember it growing up in Jersey. I always order at hopwong.com and have never had a problem with delivery. I recommend it over Doordash so they don't have to pay the fees. Definitely recommend this place!

This is the best Chinese delivery in Minneapolis. Being from San Francisco means my standards are pretty high, this place is just like being in Chinatown. The prices are great, the delivery is fast, my order is always correct and hot. Highly recommend. I do want to note that I’m a vegetarian so I can’t speak for any of the meat dishes, but friends have vouched for the Mongolian beef and sesame chicken & beef being excellent. I also suggest ordering directly from the restaurant instead of grubhub, doordash, etc. The restaurant doesn’t have to pay for the service so prices are a bit better and you’re supporting a local business instead of a third party corporation.

We've ordered multiple times - love their shrimp with broccoli especially. Generous portions and big shrimp! Wish they were still in Longfellow but worth the drive to Chicago Ave.

Great cheese wontons and SESAME BEEF which I feel can be hard to find! Packaging was good. The amount of breading on the sesame beef was perfect. And they have some unique menu items like Lobster fried rice!

My family and I have been getting our Chinese food here for years--love it! I'm really surprised by the vast differences in opinion in these reviews. Their cream cheese won tons have spoiled me for anyone else's. Someone wrote a disparaging review about the sweet and sour shrimp and I agree that there is way too much batter on these, however, there is nothing else that I have ordered from this restaurant that I would not recommend. I cannot speak to those who like really spicy food because I don't like spicy--I never have tried any of the items printed in red. If you like your food spicy, let them know as this is the kind of restaurant that will cater to your request. This is a family-run business; you may have some trouble understanding their English sometimes, but they are super nice. I love the food I get at Hop Wong, and I also love their prices.

We have been customers of Hop Wong for years and have always loved it. Yesterday, we accidentally ordered from a competitor, because they had left a flier on our door... the flier ended up in the kitchen and it looked like a Hop Wong advertisement. Well, we did not look closely - just picked up the flier and placed an order.

We didn't realize we had accidentally ordered from China Wok instead of Hop Wong until the food came... late. Then, after we paid, and gave a pretty generous tip, and brought the order into the kitchen we realized they had not sent all of the food. We checked the receipt... that is when we realized they charged us for all of the food, didn't send us all the food. It was also when we realized we HAD NOT ordered from Hop Wong. (Oooops)

We called the competitor and explained that they had not sent all of the food. They told us they would send the missing food... but that it would be another hour before it would arrive. When I complained that it would take that long, the woman on the phone snapped at me "We have many customers ahead of you."

When I told her that my food was supposed to have already arrived, along with the rest of our meals, she hung up on me. The remaining food never came. I have put the order in dispute with my credit card company.

When we got around to eating what was sent, we realized the food was terrible compared to Hop Wong.

This experience made us appreciate Hop Wong, the good food and excellent service they have provided to us over many, many years. We will not be making this same mistake again! :)

We ordered through DoorDash tonight and devoured it all. I'm usually hesitant to try new chinese places, but they did really well! We got shrimp chow mein(mom meant to get lo mein, but still ate it all haha), shrimp egg foo young(just yum), and wonton egg drop soup :)

Hi. Never in my life have I had better service, better food and a friendly staff more than Hop Wong. I have been ordering from here for years. If I don't want green pepper in my almond ding or whatever, they take it out. I love everything I have ever ordered, never any bad food. My personal favorite, Moo Goo Gai Pan, ham fried rice and Chicken Chow mein. Now if only they made Chicken Mushroom chow mein, I'd be in heaven.

Very reasonable prices and delicious food! I love the noodles they used for my house lomein and the dumplings and house sweet and sour was so good! Very fast delivery and they deliver to children's as well as accept cash for delivering!

Hop Wong recently took over the space previously occupied by Xin Fu on Chicago avenue next to Popeye's. I've had the Sweet & Sour Chicken twice and it's EXCELLENT. Succelent and tender chicken in a perfect golden batter with tasty sauce. Best dish in Minneapolis.
