Phoenix center, Dr Monsein and all the staff helped me greatly! I truly don't know how to thank them all for their life- changing support. I learned how to function again through everything I learned. But, anyone who truly seeks this help needs to commit to life- long changes in all aspects of life! I learned how to eat better, exercise more efficiently effective to my own impairments, how to move better through Thai-chi- cha, how to breathe to relax into being calm, which I had no concept of, how to move to improve my limitations, and how to be at peace even with my terrible limitations. I truly learned how to live again, accepting all of my limitations through mindfulness and through hot-pool-exercizes. I am still greatly imperfect, but now I know that I have potential beyond what I understood before! I haven't felt understood like that before, and it persists to this day. This team of specialists will make you feel part of a way forward! Everyone is welcomed and encouraged to share the painful truth of their experiences. No one is ever put aside. All perspectives are welcome as they will shape the future of the program. This is not a cult, you are always welcome to exit the experience without shame. These people truly love what they do and are ready to help without reservation as to each person who is there. During my program, I not only experienced improvement in my own pain and movement, but experienced improvement that I did not expect. Not only do I move and feel better, I've been able to get through numerous other surgeries with a decreased dependence on narcotic pain medication. As most of us in life experience corbities in life, I also have that trait. However, I was always treated with respect and with an understanding of who I wanted these people to respect. This is truly a multidisciplinary approach to all who enter this program. No-one is ever left behind. The value of every individual is held sacred! In that, through discussion and individual care plans, everyone is equal! I know that not everyone would find this program helpful, but from my experience, this experience has been life-changing! If you want help with life altering pain with other life issues, these people can change your life and help you find direction that was never apparent to you before. I thank God for the help that this facility has given me, a new hope that I will be able to live the rest of my life knowing that I can share these gifts! I'm in the twilight of my life, but still love being me mostly because of my experiences in this life changing experience! Thanks to you all that continue to help people with chronic pain issues! Aaron Henne, ( I'm a retired master mechanic, my earliest profession, then as a nurse with a BSN from the University of Minnesota, and then became a appellate administrative administrative adjudicator with VA for over twelve years. For the last couple of years, this program has allowed me to care for several people with end of life issues, not without problems, but with abilities that even I didn't know I have.
