Always love these stores. The help is nothing short of amazing, and the product selection is huge. Whenever I am having finding things for a project, I always stop at the closest Ace to find it. More often than not, I am able to find the part or a part that will accommodate my needs.

Great place. Had to get some keys made. The guy working there cheered me up. He spoke like Aziz Ansari and he also showed us how the old cash machine worked. Love Welna's.

Very excellent service and they carry alot of items in a pretty small space anytime i have needed to repair something they usually have what i need to fix it.

Great knowledge selection and service

They are very helpful when you're trying to pick out paint. We planned to paint our living room and it turned out beautiful. By the way, the color we got was Pomegranate Seeds. Strange name, but beautiful color.

We stopped here to get a torque screwdriver to use on my car- the auto parts store didn't have what we need so we stopped here. The man who helped us came out and tested the screwdrivers to make sure we got one that fit and was very friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. Would definitely recommend!

I love Welna! Been going here over 40 years. The staff is always helpful. They help.me find what I need quickly. They can special order items or I can order online and ship to store. They will deliver certain items. Bought 20 bags of woodchips and they dropped it off in front of my garage the next day. So many services. I've used the window and screen repair quite a bit. Can get just a piece of glass custom sized, although prices have gone up. And I miss Vern - he was the best and fast.
They don't try to pressure you to buy certain things. And cannot beat the price of making key duplicates. I have only once had to have a key remade because it did not quite fit. No charge for the redo.
And they remember the brands of tools I like, the paints I use. ,(even just mixed a can of paint I had from somewhere else that had been sitting too long.
I cannot say enough good things.

This is my neighborhood Ace and they’ve been great! I’m here a few times a month. They have a great selection for the size of the store and they’re always willing to order more items if I let them know ahead of time. A real life saver when you just need that one screw or hand tool, and a pillar in the community. Highly recommend!

I used to love this place but the last time i was here i was followed around by staff immediately upon entering the store as if i were going to steal. Not one of the staff that were following me asked if i needed help they just disappeared around into the next isle. Never have i felt so mistreated and uncomfortable i found what i went in to buy and made my way out of there. Ill never shop this establishment again and I've been coming here since i was kid! The one positive thing Welna ace still has going for it is free popcorn. Id just rather drive to a big box store for my hardware needs Then to be followed around as soon As i step foot into the store and made to feel unwelcomed. This place gets an F.

This is simply the best hardware store in Minneapolis. They may not have everything, but the customer service makes up for it in spades. Not to mention that they will order anything you need if you have time to wait for your project. I always try here first and most of the time they have exactly what I needed plus some stuff I did not know I needed =)

Always a pleasure to visit this establishment!! They're not like the other Ace Hardware's that hound you like a used car salesman as you walk around the store. I know they're trying to keep theft down, but the last thing I stole was one cherry when I was 4 years old. My Mother gave me a penny and I had to give it to the clerk. I was sobbing uncontrollably by the time I up to him. Never stole again!! So back off, Ace Hardware's that aren't Welna!!! Lol!!
