I have been going here for 15 Years this month! Wowwwww where do I start…. Courtney has been my nail tech for the last 15 years!!!!! I never thought that what started out as a service of her doing my nails for my wedding. Would have led to an Awesome Friendship/Sister with her and the entire staff at VIP, that we have today! We have all watch each other grow through many different growing pains. And yet her talent and customer service has never changed!!! Always going above and beyond to make sure her clients are comfortable and happy! No matter how nerve wrecking we can be at times 🤣🤣 She has not closed the books on us! I just want to give the biggest THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart to Courtney, Tiff, Trish, and all the staff their that works so hard each and everyday giving exceptional customer service, laughs, and love to everyone that comes into VIP! Y’all are the BEST! Thank you and may God continue to shine many blessings upon you now and in the future! Hands up and down Courtney is the baddest Nail Tech in Town!!!!! I said what I said ☝🏾😂🥰💕🙏🏾

Patrick is an awesome barber. I highly recommend him! I was able to get an appointment the same day, and he was honest about the condition of my hair.

They answered the phones very quickly. I got an appointment with Jenny soon after I called. Jenny is great at cutting and styling my hair. She's very friendly and so are the other people I had a chance to talk to. The first photo shows how much of my hair she did have to cut off (you can see the damage at the bottom). And the other phone shows the finished product. I can't wait to come back again. Thank you

I called last minute looking for a blow out. Todd agreed to see me if I could get there quickly as he had a cancelation for his last appointment. Todd was fun, great talk, and he did way more than just a blowout. He trimmed my ends, straightened, and curled it. I looked fabulous and had a ball getting there! At the end, he had another client who had come on the wrong day and time, but there she was, getting in his chair as I paid anyway! He was just so chill and kind. I wish I lived here, but if I ever visit again, I'll be sure to see him again!

My review is regarding stylist Whitney Parker; she did my hair for my wedding on 04/06/2019! Whitney was exactly what I was looking for. The search for a hairstylist who knows how to style black hair (3c/4a if you're into the hair typing system) and will execute EXACTLY what I want for my wedding AND is located in Minnesota AND is willing to travel 3 hours from Minneapolis to Pine River was rough. I was referred to Whitney through a friend and I did a hair trial in December. I really liked what she did at the trial, but she did mention that she thought my bangs could be made to look fuller by adding a couple extensions. I told her I wasn't sure if I wanted extensions, and she said it was up to me and that she would create the extensions for me if I changed my mind. I in fact did end up changing my mind and when I told her, she had already made the extensions for me! I want to point out that she came and did my hair for my wedding while being 8 months pregnant! She and her husband drove 3 hours to Pine River; she did my hair, my mom's, the flower girl's, and my maid of honor's hair and then drove back home. She did also stay through my "first look" pictures so she could fix my hair if it needed to be fixed (which it did, after standing outside in the misting rain for the pictures). My hair didn't move the entire night and it was absolutely everything I wanted. She also jerry-rigged together a bobby pin set-up to make putting on my veil super easy; my veil didn't move through the entire ceremony and the first look. And the true test of whether or not I ever let someone do my hair a second time...my hair reverted back to its lovely, curly state with absolutely no heat damage :D Whitney did well, and she blended in with my family and was laughing and talking with all of us the whole time, while still being professional and getting the job done. I highly recommend her for one of the most important days of your life. Thanks again Whitney!

P.S. She bought the sparkly hair ornament for me without me even asking and it was gorgeous!

Love everything about this establishment! The owner Tiffany is a warm and friendly professional that you’ll love talking to while getting your hair done. Curtis is amazing and specializes in beautiful hair cuts for women.

The absolute best hair salon I’ve ever been too. Everyone is very professional, pleasant and they always make you feel comfortable. My stylist Tricia is very accommodating to my ever changing work schedule. I never have a problem getting an appointment to have maintenance done on my dreadlocks. The shop it’s self is nicely laid out, bright, always spotless. Even with everyone wearing masks you can see the smiles under their masks. VIP is my forever Hair Salon.

I have been going to VIP to see Todd for a few years now and my hair has never been healthier! I moved about 2.5 hours away and still come up to the cities to get my hair done!

There has never been a single time Todd couldn’t get me in when I needed it (even very last minute). He knows I have a daughter so gets me in and out quicker than any stylist I’ve ever worked with.

He gets my hair straighter than it has ever been (naturally) or gives me bouncy, lasting curls depending on my mood.

I had a baby this past year and my postpartum shedding was out of control; my hair in general wasn’t doing great. Everyone told me I just had to wait it out and it’d eventually get better. After just one appointment with Todd, my hair quit shedding and was healthier than ever.

When I want a trim, I get just that... a trim. He only trims it when absolutely necessary, as he knows I’m trying to grow it out.

My hair is longer and healthier than it has been since I was a child and I owe that to Todd! I highly recommend.

My mom now uses Todd as her stylist as well after a bad experience with her last stylist and witnessing the way he transformed my hair.

His prices are more than fair for the quality of service. I can’t imagine going to a different stylist.

I brought my 14 yo daughter for 1st time appt with Tiffany. It was easy to schedule and she got us in right away. The salon was bright, clean and fun atmosphere. Tiffany was wonderful taking the time to explain to my daughter different products and how to take care of her hair. She gave her a gorgeous haircut that she's constantly receiving compliments on. She loves her new style and the cut has been easy for her to maintain on her own. So thank you again Tiffany for taking care of my daughter! Your caring and kindness are an added bonus.

I have been going to Todd for about 14 years and he has done an excellent job on my hair. He is punctual and professional. His work is amazing. Every-time I get my hair done, I get compliments. He goes above and beyond to keep my hair healthy and beautiful.

My daughter was having her very first salon appointment at another location not worthy to be named, and the entire event was a catastrophe. Before things could get further out of hand, I called VIP and they said I could bring my daughter immediately. They worked her in and gave her a wonderful first experience that we both will forever cherish.
Note: My daughter is 12 and had never had her hair cut or trimmed. Todd, her stylist at VIP, took wonderful care of her and was very patient and kind. He didn't even make us feel bad about how tenderheaded that she is, and only told us how to take steps at home that would make it better.
What the nice people at VIP didn't know is, I've been struggling with my girls hair since we moved here from the south. Living in the Minnesota suburbs, finding good black hair care was near impossible and I was starting to fear that I was slipping as a good mom. They took such good care of us and made us feel so welcome, that I guaranteed them that myself, my 3 daughters, and my son, would be regular customers for as long as we live in MN. My mom fears are relieved and my daughter is no longer in tears when I say, "it's time to get your hair done."

Mrs. Patricia has been doing my hair for about 9 months now and I absolutely love her! She is very detailed oriented, and focuses on your particular needs as well as where you would like to see your hair such as length, thickness, etc. Over the course of 9 months my hair has grown SOOOOO much! Healthier than it has even been! I wish I could give more than 5 stars but Mrs. Patricia, keep doing what you are doing love!

I absolutely LOVE going to VIP! All of the stylists and nail technicians at VIP are truly experts in their field. Tiffany is my stylist and she is wonderful. Not only does she style my hair beautifully, but she also educates me on how to keep my hair healthy. My appointments are a relaxing experience. I highly recommend VIP for maintaining beautiful hair and nail care.

I have been seeing Whitney for over 3 years now. I have a standing bi weekly appointment. She not has gotten my hair to grow and it's never been healthier. She takes her time and makes sure you leave happy with the end result. I look forward to my shampoos with her. They are THE BEST!

My entire family has so much love for this shop, but we are forever thankful and grateful to Todd especially. I have been one of Todd’s clients for the last 12 years and would not think of trusting anyone else with my hair or my families hair. Highly recommend. Todd did my hair for the first time today. I went in with damaged broken hair and came out on the road to recovery just like I wanted to .
