I give the WHOLE place a 100/10, the service,food,and the small comforting Mexican vibe the restaurant gives👍🏻this place is so underrated especially being in Rochester MN, this is the BESTTTT food I've tried up here, the waitress is so attending to your needs and he's really humble and patient.I love it hereeee!!!!❤

IMHO, this restaurant has the finest Mexican food In the Rochester area. Not only is the food delightful, the staff genuinely appreciates your presence! Interviewing the owner, I learned his formula: Your visit – our pleasure, the quality – our obligation, and your satisfaction – our success. In Spanish: Su visita – nuestro placer, la calidad – nuestra obligación, su satisfacción – nuestro éxito. The food is always freshly cooked, comfortably spicy for Minnesota palates, the décor is bright and festive and you always leave knowing that they are honored by your presence.

Nice place to go for lunch! We were served right away. The chips and salsa before the meal were the right amount. The food there is authentic and very delicious. Reasonable priced as well.

I was having an awful day. I'll spare you the details. But when I came into La Poblana they were cheerful and welcomed me warmly. I ordered a tamale platter with 2 extra tamales ala carte. As I sat in the light of the setting sun eating my dinner my mind cleared and the badness of my day realized it wasn't welcome anymore. I left feeling light hearted and free of mental burden. Thank you for such a good meal.

My favorite Mexican restaurant in Rochester and the most authentic. The food is great, the atmosphere is great and the staff has always been friendly. This is the place I go to the most when I'm in Rochester. The chips come warm. The salsa that comes with the chips is very different from other places, but I really like. Since this is authentic don't expect lots of sauce on the food.

Update 2020. When they finally opened up after covid lockdown we were so excited. Made special trip (45 min drive). They had brand me menus. Prices had gone way up. Smaller bowel of chips. Never asked if we wanted more (we usually didn't take more). Too expensive now so probably won't be back.

The food was Very good For a first time experience at a Authentic Mexican restaurant. It doesn't look like much From The Outside. But when you come in, it's very inviting.

The food was delicious and I loved that our tortillas were handmade. The only thing is the food is a bit pricey. Service was great.

This place is great! Clearly, a lot of work was put in for custom decorations. Their menu is reasonably sized, and the a la carte menu is very affordable. The rest of the menu is a higher price, but it's clearly with reason: seemingly everything is from scratch; from the chips and salsa, tortillas they use in dishes, down to the refried beans are clearly prepped in house as well rather than straight from a can like most places.

Amazing flavorful Mexican food served by a super friendly staff catering to lots of vegetarian food options! This is definitely the top Mexican food sampling in the Rochester area up until now for us. The spicy salsas are amazing, so make sure to ask if zing in the food is up your alley. We will return when hungry for more!

Food was great! Service was really good and personable, friendly. We were there on the 6th of May in the afternoon it was quiet and very comfortable. I should have taken pictures of the food, but I was hungry. I had the red Chile pork with Verde, rice and beans, ate 1/2 of my wife's carne asada all excellent!

Very friendly ownership - bummed the other location closed, but will come across town to eat here. Chips and salsa upon arrival. Hotter salsa available if you ask. Hot sauces on the table. A nice space.

Delicious 3 Tacos Dorados platter. Just the right heat to make my eyes water. Great chips and salsa too. $18.

Stopped in for the first time while we were in Rochester. Really great staff & clean restaurant! They do have a somewhat limited menu & no 'kids menu' but they will make a quesadilla, enchilada, taco, etc but smaller size or order from a la cart for them. Took about 20 minutes from ordering to receiving food but wasn't too bad of a wait! The food was superb & definitely worth it! The a la cart was cheaper (obviously) but the meals were anywhere from $10-$20+.

Food was delicious. Small place and only one bathroom, but the food was delicious. I ordered what I believe is the steak ranchero and it was yummy.

Such a cute place! Deceiving from the outside! Super cute inside with ample seating for a group! Very friendly, food presented with a flare, and delicious!

I ordered the chicken tamale platter and it was fantastic! Lots of flavor with side salsa for extra spice. And the fresh chips were so good. I will definitely be ordering from here again!
