Love coming here! The decor and the atmosphere are so elegant and you can tell before you even get to the front desk that they put in effort here. The staff has always been exactly what you hope for when you’re staying in a hotel; super helpful and very friendly no matter who is working. The rooms are clean and have what you need, we love the poolside room for ease of accessing the pool and sauna and hot tub. Love that they added a ping pong table too! I like that they have full size shampoo and conditioner and body wash in the showers so I don’t have to bring my own or bug housekeeping for a million of the little bottles, and my hair feels so soft after their products! The cookies and milk at night give me and my kids a fun little activity to do before bed. We have to come to Minneapolis a lot for doctor appointments and I always check if they have rooms available first, their parking is convenient compared to other hotels I’ve stayed in downtown and it’s right down the street from the clinic and hospital. Coming from a small town of less than 500 people Minneapolis can be kind of scary sometimes but I felt completely safe when I came here all alone last year with my baby, it feels secure and quiet and you know the staff is attentive.

The rooms are outstanding in decor, spaciousness and vibe. The room was cozy and made for great mood lighting.
The tv setup was a little confusing. Electronics may need some updating.
Hotel staff was polite and courteous. They genuinely cared for our requests and fulfilled them to our impressed satisfaction.
Thank you Normandy Suites for a great stay! I can't wait to return.

We stayed here over Christmas for the Vikings/Lions game. It was amazing in every way! The front desk staff were exceptional. The parking was great, the walk to the stadium was super close. Everything was fantastic. The restaurant was closed on Christmas Day. They had a continental breakfast which was perfect. The gentleman running the breakfast was amazing, friendly. The hospitality at this hotel was amazing!!

BOOK YOUR ROOM AND BE PREPARED FOR A GREAT STAY!

The Normandy Inn is unique, quirky, warm and inviting, run by the same family, 3rd generation and a staff that is more family than just employees.

The restaurant opened in the 40s. The hotel before that, over 100 years old. Tastefully renovated over all those years into a warm, inviting environment with a stellar staff and wonderful restaurant. This was our first stay.

The Innkeeper lives on-site, and has somehow combined modern conveniences with the older style. Warm wood beams, and vaulted ceilings abound. We would recommend staying in the older part of the hotel. Our room was unique, renovated in the last few years, with a separate family room from the main bedroom which had a huge walk-in shower.

Years ago, they enclosed the space between 2 of the buildings, that’s where you’ll find the large pool with a real 8 foot deep end, and separate hot tub. There are large glass walls on each side. The pool room is 4 stories high! With rooms that open onto the pool floor if you choose.

AND… it’s downtown! 10 minute walk to USBank Stadium. Less for Nicollet Mall.

A DIAMOND IN THE ROUGH!

Had a great time in a pool side room to celebrate my friend’s birthday! Hotel manager Peter was so helpful, he even shuttled us to a concert at the Target center. The hotel was great, but Peter made our trip memorable. What a cool guy!!

The responsiveness of the staff bumped this review from 3.5-4 stars to a full five stars. Rooms were clean, beds on soft side, but still comfortable, everything stocked. We booked four rooms, three nights total, for a karate tournament. Long review follows praising the staff and incidentals.

In the hassle of checking out 7 folks Sunday I left my laptop charging in the room, only to find out at the airport. Called them, they had it, housekeeping had turned it in (!), and they said they could ship to me, but would be best to call Monday morning to set up. I called them around 1230 CST Monday and gave them the info and approval to charge for shipping. They were apologetic (again!!), that they might not get to it until Tuesday afternoon, however, it was in FedEx hands within three hours of my call (!!!!), and arrived at my doorstep less than 3 days later in perfect condition. I think they even cleaned the laptop case! As it was a laptop, the shipping was a little higher, but at $66.71 getting my $1,700 laptop (it's a higher end business/pro model) in under 3 days, working perfectly, and possibly cleaner than I left it is amazing!

We had breakfast included, and the food was very good all 3 mornings. Not as quick as buffet, but fresh squeezed oj more than make up for it. You won't be stuffed by what was included, but you could order extras off the menu.

There was a little confusion about the rooms at first, we didn't understand that the corner rooms have an extra door/hallway that works(mostly) and creates a two room semi adjoining suite. The only other glitch was the car alarm going off the first night, the entire night, and the night staff unsure of what they could do. It was in their locked lot, but the hotel doesn't collect car info on check-in so they didn't know whose car it was.

Heat and AC worked well in all rooms, all showers were very strong sprays.

Didn't use the pool/exercise equip, but it all was in working order.

The kitschy, pseudo French Normandy decor may not be for everyone, but it was nice not to stay in a cookie cutter hotel. Would definitely book again, if for no other reason that the staff were so responsive and professional

Outstanding! Elegant loby and rooms. Soap, conditioner, and shampoo in showers. Kurig in rooms. Bed super comfy. Can add breakfast to room but totally worth it. Connected restaurant is great and yummy! This is where breakfast is and is way great! Indoor pool and hot tub. In middle of city, about 2 blocks from courthouse and 6 or so from stadium! Perfect location. Rooms dark and city sounds muffled and not disturbing. Parking xtra but in gated lot and off street. Only improvement suggestion is to have more baggage carts! Lol

Love this place! Charming historic look. Location is perfect. Brewery right across the street and a short walk to US Bank Stadium or The Armory. Quite and private gym, nice pool and hot tub, and a suana is always a win for me! The staff are always friendly. Decent bee4 selection, and the bar manager does a great job getting hard to find bourbons.

Love love love. This place is absolutely a hidden gem downtown. The staff is amazing and so helpful and welcoming. The hotel feels like you're in a little boutique hotel, but with all the amenities of a large chain. It's an older building but they've renovated it wonderfully and it is extremely clean and well kept. This is absolutely going to be my go-to hotel anytime we come visit. Minneapolis.

All in all it was a great experience. The hotel is in perfect walking distance to US bank stadium. The rooms were clean and spacious. The pool area was a nice spot to go and relax. Housekeeping and workers at the normandy inn were amazing. Some of the front desk was newer so we got bad directions when we first checked in, and there were a couple front desk members that just seemed miserable to be there. Other than that I would recommend this hotel it’s centrally located.

Great location between both US Bank Stadium and Target Field. Ground parking which is nice not parking in a ramp. Nice pool and hot tub area. Good hotel restaurant. Great customer service.

I stayed at the best Western Normandy Inn for a little family weekend getaway. The building was so quaint the front desk staff was amazing. Quinn and Peter did such a great job. I woke up late one night and was dying for a Coke. All they had was Pepsi and Johanna was just absolutely amazing behind the front desk so pretty and funny I can’t believe they keep her hidden on the midnight shift. I will definitely stay here again!!!

My sisters and I recently stayed at the Normandy for the weekend. We attended the NDSU football game at US Bank Stadium so the location was perfect - an easy walk between hotel and stadium. We ate dinner at the hotel restaurant on Friday evening and the food was fantastic. Rooms were cozy and clean. However, what really put the Normandy over the top was the staff! On Saturday night, we returned to the hotel to find a packed restaurant/bar. The bartender was extremely busy and looked exhausted, but handled the crowd with patience, grace, and a good sense of humor! We grabbed our drinks and headed out to the lobby... this is where the magic really happened. As we sat in the lobby, we witnessed a number of extremely rude guests. The front desk staff was ON POINT. Peter, Quinn, and the rest of the staff handled each situation superbly. We got to know them and interact with them throughout the evening and I have never had more fun in a hotel lobby in my life. These guys definitely know how to remain professional while still having fun! We will 100% be back solely because of the staff. From what we could see, they all deserve a raise!

Charming cozy hotel. It's a good size to where the staff can quickly attend your needs.

They have a shuttle that dropped us off and picked us up at Target Field.

They also have freshly baked cookies and milk every night !

Fantastic, cute and clean hotel! Very glad we made this our place to stay. The entire front desk and bar staff are gems and really made our time here special. We felt welcome and wanted at all times. The general manager (I didn’t get his name) is a saint and extremely professional. The place is beautiful but it’s definitely the staff that make it memorable. 10/10 would stay again. Of course I have to also mention Peter at the front desk - he’s the guy! 👏🏼

The wife and I went up to see a Pearl Jam concert and they stated to stay at this location for its relative convenience. We had recently gone on a long road trip and exclusively used. Best Western hotels. Check in and check out went smoothly. We ended up with a suite that was quite large, and nicely laid out. The hotel itself is sort of old and very unique and cool looking inside and out.

This wasn't the worst hotel experience. But many things were not great. The beds were super soft, I could stand in the middle and felt like I was a foot down. I went to the bathroom and found our doorhandle on the inside of the bathroom didn't work, so i was locked in.

Someone hit my car in the parking lot, and they do not have any cameras, workers really have no way to assist, and the reporting was pretty much a waste of time. We called all around, and no one helped with cameras.
Within 12 hours, we needed 6 new keys, and you need them for the elevator.
No free breakfast! They have a restaurant. And no microwave in the rooms. Be prepared to eat out every meal or have cold leftovers.

A housekeeper woke us by trying to enter our room while we were still in it. He apologized when the door lock caught him, and I yelled Hello. I'm not sure what happened there since we hadn't gone down and checked out.

Nothing was truly horrible at the hotel, but it was the dud of our trip as a whole.
