Target Credit Union

I love banking with Target Credit Union! The help has been fabulous when I have to go to the bank. Due to their awesome app I rarely need to waste time going. I get great interest on my accounts and I use their deposit anyway feature on the app. The last time I had to go into the branch I needed a signature from a certain high level banker and they we're more than accommodating. If you are able to bank with them and you don't you are missing out big time.

Opened my account as a Target Employee. I get my payday 2 days Early Every Wednesday or every bi weekly Wednesday, depending on when you get pay by the company but always 2 days early. YES a Great Credit Union. A Division of BCU (Baxter)
Any problems I do Online banking Messages and it gets taken care of and my question answered. Convient. So far so Good.😀

I am an ETL-HR for a Target store and while orientating new TMs my job is to tell new TMs about the credit union and the benefits. My mother was looking to bank with a credit union and I referred her to the Target credit union because I knew she could open an account because I work for Target. So she signed up with no problem and a few days later realized that she could not access her money that she deposited. So she called and the TM told her that she had restrictions on her account and the hold wouldn’t be released until I opened an account! My problem is why wouldn’t this be explained from the beginning. It should be stated that in order for family or friends to have an account with the Target Credit Union, the Target TM has to not only work/worked for Target but also have an account with the credit union.
So ok, now I’m forced to open an account. Open the account and now my mother still has a hold on her account and she still can’t access her money. She calls them and they say well your daughter has to fax us her ID, Social security card and a paystub showing she is a Target TM.
Why isn’t this communicated before hand. Before anyone opens an account the credit union tms should tell the guest all the requirements they need to meet and all required documents that need to be sent it!
So luckily I was at work and had those forms with me to fax in and my mom hold was lifted.
2 days later I check my BCU app and I see I have a -$5 balance. How is this balance negative when I just deposited $5 because they required I at least deposited $5? So I call the bank again, the lady tells me that there is some type of hold on my account but she is unsure why and she will have the other department call me back the next day because they were unavailable 😲! I was like this can’t be serious. Later days come and I call back for another TM to tell me that they hold $5 from your account but he isn’t sure why...but the money is still mines, the bank just holds it!!.
I haven’t deposited another penny in that account. This is just pure craziness ! The communication that BCU has is terrible and the fact that customer service doesn’t even know what certain things mean (especially if this is something that happens to everyone’s account) is absolutely ridiculous.

I was just at the branch while there I had to go through security which I am greatly appreciate it about then a woman named Jess came out and asked me was I a member and I stayed it yes then she proceeds to ask me what was my banking me why isn’t important to know what my banking needs are what I have not made it to the back of the bank then I told her how horrible the service was and I don’t like coming to this location she informs me I do not have to come to this location I inform her not to get smart with me because now I am late for work because IZing Gez proceeded to say they have people who claim that they are members all the time I’m just professionally on my way to work what kind of numbers are trying to get back there is a secured building I don’t understand why do I have to be profile or scrutinize to take care of my banking needs I asked her manager cart the man’s name is John I am waiting for a callback very unhappy with today’s services
