Athens Cafe

This is the best place to grab a gyro by far. Their service is phenomenal and so are their fries. Stop on in for some amazing hummus as well and they have great prices too. I cannot recommend their gyros enough!

Had vegetarian combo that included grape leaves, falafel and spinach pies. Quite tasty.

I’ve been coming to this place since little league! Around $10 gets you a gyro and fries, and they are laaarge portions. Make sure to go in and check out the deli, they make all their own sauces and desserts. Anytime I struggle to think of what to eat when I’m in a hurry, I usually come here over Wendy’s or anywhere else. Service is always fast as hell, and pleasant.

Just to note/be fair, it’s not a Gordon Ramsay Gyro, but it’ll absolutely hit the spot and it’s fresh. Literally anytime I think of the place when deciding dinner or lunch plans, I think I SHOULD go to Athens. It’s too good of a deal, in my opinion.

I have lived nearby for 6 years and today was my first time having lunch here. It did not disappoint. The hummus was deliciously dippable, with just the right amount of tahini. Food came out really quick and included generous portion at the price. I do wish they had a warm drink (maybe tea?) vs the fountain drinks they offered. Will go here again.

I have been eating frequently at Athens Cafe for many years. Usually I order & pick up. My grandkids favorite meal is the big chicken salad, and their cheese burger & fries are delicious too. My family loves their food. Prices are reasonable.

Still eating actually, needed to leave a review to say that this is the best euro I've had in months. Thank you so much for making us such good food

“Gyros are delicious. This was a combo meal and it was 😩😩. The fries were not salty but very seasoned. The gyro was big and good. The meat was amazing. The meat was lamb I think and it’s very easy to chew and does not have a strong bloody taste. The vegetables were delicious but there was a little too much raw onions to my liking. All the flavors mix well in the mouth. The building was a little dirty. The person was very nice. Overall I would rate 9/10.”

Delicious food! The people at the register could smile sometime. Best gyro meat in town, in my opinion. Prices are decent.

First time having a gyro. I had the value meal and it was GOOD. support your local businesses. My good was out within 5 minutes of ordering. Very prompt and friendly service!!!

Athens Cafe is a staple for me. It’s a small cafe located in Robbinsdale, Minnesota. It’s not fancy, just a few tables if you want to eat inside. I started going there in 2009 and the food has been consistently good over the years. I no longer live in Minneapolis, Minnesota but when I come to town to visit family I make it one of my stops!

I had the Greek Chicken Salad, ok well I always have the Greek Chicken Salad because it’s just that good. Large chunks of chicken on lettuce with cucumbers, onions, tomatoes, banana peppers and olives if you choose. It also comes with Pita bread. The portion is amazing and the salad dressing is the star.

As far as price, it has gone up since I first started going there but what hasn’t especially after Covid. I hope they never change the recipe because it is a winner and with the drive.

The the best looking place. But the have really good food. Was very impressed with their cheese burger.

One of my favorite Greek places around. It's a small place, but their food is great. I usually get a gyro here. They've usually got daily specials going on, too. Their hummus is excellent, and the gyro meat is very flavorful.

This place has been serving up the same great food for decades. It's a bit of a hole in the wall, maybe a little run down, but definitely not dirty or unwelcoming. The people that work here have always been supremely kind. Everything on the menu is great. Portions are huge. Everything is fresh. We swing by whenever we have the chance. Every other gyro I've had in my life has been but an imitation of what they make here at Athens Cafe. If the scenery unnerves you, just get it to go. You'll be glad you did.

Food is always good and portions are big!! Fast friendly service. We always do take-out and noticed they have new tables and booths.

Food is great but the inside dining has seen better days. Take out is solid and so are the staff

Wish they didn't use so much Styrofoam though.

Best gyros in town! Decent fries, hummus and lamb kabob are really stellar, tender juicy meat, perfectly balanced garlic and tahini in the hummus. Hawari has a gem for you to simply enjoy! Don’t bring up the building- food far exceeds and zeros that out. Get it to go if you need.

Do not skip the Athens chicken, french fries, or their amazing hummus. I have eaten an entire container of hummus in one sitting!!
