A hidden gem! Pow Wow Grounds is the best. Indigenous owned, cozy and supporting the local community.

Service: is always great- they are friendly, fast and supporting the community. Upholding the true Native cultural values, consider donating to their “elder cup" which allows our elders to get coffee they deserve but otherwise could not do.

Food: amazing! Their coffee, frappes and drinks are the best! Fresh, tasty and leave you feeling refreshed afterwards. Just my absolute favorite and wished I lived closer. Also, their bakery is wonderful. The fry bread on Fridays is to die for- but come early to get it! I haven’t tried the soup but heard it is amazing!

Atmosphere: cozy and filled with indigenous culture. You can buy shirts and at times other beading. They have free books for kids, a connected art gallery and local post guides.

Highly recommend this place!!

We had such a good experience here! The food was amazing and fresh, and the service was amazing. The woman and man working behind the counter were so sweet. The culture they share and create truly had us speechless. Make sure you have time to look at the gallery! It’ll bring tears to your eyes. Much love from a Miniconjou girl<3

I love supporting local shops and love that it is for the native American community! Coffee was yummy and they have a whole bunch of fliers showing what's going on in the native community. Helping bring our culture and sponsor other natives. ❤

Loved this place! First time visitor and instantly fell in love with the place. The frybread pizza was great! Will be back on a Thursday for Indian Tacos.

Wonderful coffee, indigenous snacks and food, and an amazing art gallery next door. One thing i love about this place is that you can purchase an "elder cup" which allows folks to come in and get coffee when they might not be able to otherwise. Their work for the Native community is amazing, which is another reason to come. And super friendly folks!

This place is great! Nice employees, yummy food & coffee. It's a shame that this coffee shop is small.

I got a mocha latte and my friend got a frappe. Both were exceptional, and the service was prompt and friendly.

Went to Pow Wow Grounds for lunch and thoroughly enjoyed their chicken and wild rice soup! The woman behind the counter was very friendly and I learned a few things about the Indigenous American community in the area. Lovely little place.

Both my coffee and muffin were great!
Locally roasted coffee beans are also available at a very good price.

If you're in the area, this is definitely a great, locally owned place to visit.

Awesome little coffee shop here in Minneapolis! Quick service. Amazing selection of tastes. Great cause. Stop in, get some coffee, check out the art gallery and how you can support the indigenous people of the area.

Small quaint coffee shop. They serve fry bread tacos on Friday. So good.

I came here for work. My client made sure I got the fry bread taco and I also got a bowl of chicken wild rice soup. The soup was far better than any chicken wild rice I've had before. There was a brothy silkiness to it rather than a clumpy creaminess. The soup filled me up so I wasn't able to eat the fry bread taco fresh but it made a great late night snack with just a quick pop in the oven. Everything is very affordable for being so good.

Awesome place! My son and I stopped in for a quick treat. The barista was very friendly. Sometimes, they have fry bread tacos out for sale too! I also bought a pound of coffee - whole bean. Another awesome bonus, is that you can "pay it forward" and leave money for an elder to get a cup of coffee.

There's a wonderful art gallery and this is a native owned and operated business that supports the native community and the mpls community in general. I have had the enjoyment of eating the food they donated and the coffee they donated at protests and they are a safe, positive, and inclusive force for good. They have quiche!!! The workers have jokes and tease a little and it's just where I like to go when the world has me really down to remind myself of who I really am since I live intercity and its easy to forget. Spend your money here. Please. Promise it's a nice cafe and a beautiful gallery.

This place is way more than a coffee shop. It's an empowering establishment for the local indigenous community. In addition to an entire art gallery that showcases indigenous artists, there are all kinds of information posted about native issues. The coffee is amazing as well. The turtle mocha will give you life!!! Whether you're an activist, a coffee enthusiast, an indigenous person or just in the neighborhood, check out pow wow grounds! You won't be disappointed!

Very friendly staff, coffee is very good and the perfect temperature. I tried the frybread taco for indigenous peoples day in 2018 and it was delicious. I definitely feel good supporting local versus giving a corporation my money.
