I had a polite, and concise great experience obtaining a new car insurance policy over the phone. Having resettled in Minneapolis and buying my first car in a few years, it was nice to have the policy (Progressive for first-timers, which was my preference anyway) explained to me, very objective explanation from Dan.

We got the policy set up and active the next morning! I was able to print documents and get to the DMV for all the transfers and such.

Read everything you sign AND get copies of it. Always ask about return policies before paying. Take with you all the packaging from a new purchase. ALWAYS get an itemized, detailed description of a new plan specifying mandatory changes from your old plan and the cost. This in not a corporate Verizon store. it is a certified retailer. BIG difference.

They were always slow to deal with insurance matters. When I canceled my policies the v.p , steve shultz, started to act like my two years of over payments on expensive policies meant nothing. Also added a '10%' penalty on top. Would not recommend anyone to do business with this company. There review system on there website will accept any review less than five stars.

I was given the renewal 36 hours before my policy renews. There was a 20% increase and a $1200 penalty (earned premium they called it) if I were to cancel after binding. Didn't really give me any options. Clearly someone dropped the ball on the renewal and care of the client. Sad to see an organization my father built up become like this. Attention to customer service should be paramount.

Absolutely do not recommend this company. They are a sexist company. Mike Raasch treated me with no respect and disdain as if I was not human and refused to do what I asked him to do; but when my husband came in and asked the same questions he actually did the work to my utter amazement. The agent had told me he does not have to do what I tell him - it is his choice. But quietly did so when my husband asked him. Also if you are a small business or brown like me you will not get any service. THEY ARE TOO BIG TO CARE!!!!!!!! We have been with them for 35 years and it came down to this.
