Mt Fuji Restaurant

Update: lunch specials are a great deal, especially the sushi rolls with soup or salad. However, you do get what you pay for: rolls are cut pretty unevenly and sometimes coming apart by the time they're served to you. But overall fish is tasty and a good value.

Another good lunch from Mt. Fuji. This time, we did takeout on the way to the airport and made everyone jealous in the terminal with our fresh, delicious and pretty bento boxes! This certainly beats any restaurant food, especially at less than $15 per person.

Very straightforward Japanese food. Sushi bar was small and crowded in by take out preparation and close tables. That detracted from the fun of watching experienced chefs make the art. We also had a very loud bunch right behind us at a table so loitering over a sake was just not going to happen. We ate and dashed.

Recently moved away from the area and already to find our new Mt Fuji where we now live! The fish was always fresh, and the rolls very generous and eye catching. The service was always kind and attentive. Love this place!

I have been ordering takeout sushi from Mt Fuji for a couple of years now. Always though they were pretty good, but recently they've really stepped it up! The sushi is excellent, contactless delivery is always timely, and their new online order system is awesome. If you're looking for sushi; this restaurant is a great option.

My friend and I visited last night after peering into a neighboring thai place and seeing the dead ambiance. So we hopped over to Mt Fuji. The place was crowded on a Friday night, but we were able to get a nice table. The service was excellent, the sushi was better than most places I've visited in New Jersey, and the ambience was great for both family gatherings and first dates (it has a very similar ambience to the Sushi Palace in Somerville.)

Know before you go: It's BYOB. At the end of your meal our waitress brought us sliced oranges for dessert, which was a cute and unexpected gesture. The only thing I would say is that I don't think Mt Fuji would be a super kid friendly place, just due to the slight crowdedness/ busyness and the loud chatter.
