Stark County Veterinary Emergency Clinic

No one wants the experience of needing an ER. I am grateful that Stark ER was available. They were professional and compassionate when caring for my cat Loki. He spent 3 nights there receiving treatment. They kept me updated whenever I called and made a visitation room available when I was able to visit. They offered to sent pictures to keep my nerves calmed and were always supportive. They were not cheap, but they were upfront about all costs and fair for emergency services. They provided detailed reports for my local vet and were always available for all my questions. Although I am still working with my local vet to help my cat, they provided all the help I needed in the emergency stage of this problem. Dr Heidi and Dr Bridges were amazing, detailed, returned calls, and supportive. There is a technician there named Rachel - she needs a raise! She was phenomenal! I hope I never need an emergency vet again, but I am grateful they are available and have full confidence in them.

I had to visit this facility on a Sunday. My regular vet was closed and it was time to say goodbye to my sweet little Petey. The staff was so kind and understanding. They gave us all the time we needed to say our final goodbyes. They took a very difficult time and made it as pleasant as they possibly could. When I picked up Petey’s ashes I was pleasantly surprised to find a beautiful wooden box, his paw prints and even some of his fur. They even sent me a sympathy card. I would highly recommend this kind and caring facility.

Can't say enough good things about this clinic. We were there late in the evening; they took outstanding care of our 105lb 14-year-old baby, and "everyone" was great. The staff here are wonderful caring people. We are thankful for them.

Took my sweet pup in new years morning to finally rest. Even with the heartbreaking situation, they were absolutely perfect. My sweet girl went to sleep so peacefully and calm. The vet tech was absolutely fantastic. Gave us all the time we needed to say goodbye. Took paw and nose prints for me and allowed me to help get her off the floor and on to the roll away table. Allowed us all the time we needed.

Took our beagle who was having difficulty breathing right back and gave her the care she needed. Took a detailed history. Never asked for payment up front. The tests took a couple hours but that is expected as well as emergency vet prices. Sadly due to her diagnosis and prognosis, we made the difficult decision to put her down. The staff was patient, compassionate, and very accommodating.

Our puppy received prompt care. Everyone was kind & professional. They were very patient with our scared, not so friendly pup who was in pain. They were very open & honest about cost of care & gave us choices. Luckily, our pup has insurance so we'll be reimbursed a portion of our bill. The 1 & only annoyance I had was the almost $30 fee charged for a non cash payment. (We used our credit card).

The people here are really compassionate and did a great job with our dog. Wyatt was very pleased with his care. The bill was affordable and the staff was great.

We brought our dog Sandy to the vet at midnight (technically today) because she was acting very strange. Sickly. Breathing weird etc. My anxiety was through the roof and the office helped calm me..they talked to us about stories with their pets etc. kept our mind busy. they took amazing care of our baby through all the testing. They took their time with her anxiousness as well. It meant the world to my hubby and I. Unfortunately we ended up having to let her cross rainbow bridge due to her heart having fluid around it.. she was suffering and the office went above and beyond to make sure we had the time we needed with her while keeping her comfortable too. we were there until 4am. I wanted to make sure to leave a good review because they were all really amazing to us and her. I miss my girl more than anything in the world, but I’m happy we were able to be surrounded by caring people during one of the hardest moments of our life. Thank you guys..

The staff was wonderful, and took great care of our dog. They were very busy, but took the time to answer our questions and explain what our dog needed. The receptionists were very calm and caring, even when the person on the other end was not very nice. The vet techs gave our Sulley the love and attention he needed, and kept him calm and happy. Thank you!

We took our dog there last Sunday. Our senior dog Kong health declined quickly. It was the weekend, so our vet was not open. The staff was very kind and compassionate. The Dr explained step by step what was going to happen. We are so grateful to be there till the end of life of Kong. They even sent a sympathy card. The little things makes a difference during a very difficult time.

All the staff were extremely helpful and kind when we had to bring in our dog Thursday night due to a sudden emergency. Unfortunately, we had to say goodbye to her due to complications our regular vet missed, but the whole process was made easy due to the kindness of all the staff there. They had a private room with couches where we could take our time saying goodbye until we were ready, they made one of the hardest nights just a little easier. I would recommend this emergency vet to anyone.

From the front desk people to to Dr, was absolutely amazing not only with our dog Scooby, but also with my husband and I. They were very busy, but still took the time to check on us as we sat waiting for some news. And very nice when we picked him up the next day.They made sure we knew exactly how to take care of him and what our next steps were with him. Thank you for being wonderful!

We had to unfortunately put our dog of 12 years down due to an incurable illness. It was a very hard unexpected decision, but the veterinarian & assistants made us feel comfortable and were very caring. We appreciated the kindness during such a difficult time.

I don’t understand these bad reviews . We’ve had nothing but great experiences here ! They got us right in , told use it would be a while since they had more urgent patients ( which I totally understand ) and they were very apologetic about it . Everyone one we seen tonight was so nice . It was really great to even hear them talking and laughing amongst themselves in the back knowing they have such a stressful job . We are very thankful for the care they’ve showed / given to our fur babies throughout the years for after hour emergencies . Thank you , you guys are amazing .

The staff was friendly and honest about what was going on with our cat. They provided options for treatment without judgment. Our cat went in a week ago for kidney disease and pancreatitis and after treatment he is back to his normal self! So grateful

To all that had anything bad to say about the clinic. There is no pleasing some people. We were treated as good as our regular Vet would have but our special kitty could not wait. Thanks to all at the clinic for helping us let her go to the Rainbow Bridge. Amen.

We had to put our beautiful dog to sleep last night. The staff and veterinarian were so kind, patient and understanding. I thankfully never had to do anything like this before. I was asking questions, crying and overwhelmed. The front desk, vet tech and veterinarian all treated us and our dog with dignity. Thank you to everyone that worked to make her pass peacefully. We appreciate your professionalism and kindness.

I was really worried about taking my very sick dog to an unfamiliar place, but it is was truly an emergency, and I didn't have other options. Dr Bridges quickly diagnosed him and gave me the honest truth - he had a 50/50 chance of making it. My dog stayed there two nights, came home, and went back for another night, under the care of Dr Calcie. Both doctors were so kind and attentive.
My dog is alive and so well today. He is living with an auto immune disorder, but he's navigating it beautifully, and I cannot thank Stark Emergency Vet clinic enough for their quick care and attention to detail. I thought I wouldn't be able to take my boy home with me again, much less see him play or hear him howl, but here we are. I am forever grateful for the doctors and staff. My dogs are my life, and you have made a lasting impression on me. Thank you so much for what you do. And a special thank you to the techs, especially those who answer the phone calls and give updates while pets are hospitalized. You are awesome too! I just can't thank you all enough.

My young cat had an unfortunate accident with our recliner on Sunday night, causing 2 inches of the skin and fur of her tail to be stripped off. I took her to Stark County and was thoroughly impressed with the timeliness and care of the team. We arrived around 11pm and I was on my way home at midnight. Binx had to stay for her tail repair surgery and they called me when it was complete. Dr Sam and the team did a great job keeping me informed throughout our time there. It was unfortunate we had to make the trip, but Binx is home and recovering well thanks to their care!

Staff did an amazing job taking care of my girl 💛💛💛. We were in about 2 days ago and she's already getting so much better. I had been really worried. Staff were friendly and absolutely adored Mylah. Everyone was telling me how cute and sweet she was!
