Arrived 11:40am on a Tuesday. Food was full and hot. Restaurant had plenty of space. Filled up a little bit by the time I left. Goat curry and chicken curry was excellent, a long with everything else! Mango ice cream was good and also had chai tea (unsweetened) at the buffet. $18 for lunch buffet!

Been coming to Pooja for over 15+ years. Overall probably one of the best lunch buffets in the Sacramento region. Excellent selection & variety. So, the pandemic did cause the buffet to go away for quite a while. Happy to say the buffet is back in full force now. Enjoy!

Pooja Indian Grill in Sacramento, CA, is a culinary gem! The flavors are authentic, and the service is top-notch. The butter chicken and garlic naan are must-tries. The cozy ambiance adds to the experience. A fantastic spot for Indian cuisine lovers!

Perfect 10/10 for the food and the friendly waitress. I enjoyed the food so much that I have saved the location of this place. All items ordered - chole bhature, paneer pakora, coffee and masala chai were perfect. Paneer used was very soft and pakora had that little chat masala on it. Even the green chutney was tasty. Coffee had that good amount of milk. Very friendly staff too. They put 3 cups of coffee in the bottle I gave them. It feels all of their punjabi north Indian food is amazing. I haven't tried any non-veg food here so can't comment.

Pooja’s is hands down one of my favorite restaurants to go to for a warm, comforting meal. My favorite dish is the Baingan Bharta which I highly recommend ordering with the garlic naan. The restaurant has a nice lively feel to it, even on days when it isn’t too busy. If you are vegetarian , you have so many options to choose from.I love coming here with my family, and will continue to be a customer for years to come.

SO. GOOD. Wow!! After just one visit, this is now one of my favorite Indian food places (and I’ve been to a solid amount).

We ordered and shared the Maharaja feast - I loved the variety of it, and every single thing included was so delicious. Very much worth it. Also got the chicken tikka masala, which was my favorite. We ordered it spicy and they really delivered on that. It was close-your-eyes-and-thank-the-heavens good. Highly highly recommend! Got to try the chicken biryani too and that was also good. I already wanna go back and try the other things on the menu.

Overall, this place is awesome! Good food, great service, nice decor. What more could I ask for. Do yourself a favor and check them out!

One of the best local Indian restaurants. It is very nice inside and well decorated. They have nice tables and chairs and can sit many people. I always feel welcomed inside when I am greeted. They offer an affordable buffet during lunch. They have a good variety of food during the buffet. They have two types of rice, many vegetarian options, and about four meat dishes. All of them taste well made. They also give you sides of Naan bread as you eat. It is absolutely delicious! If you are looking for a local, delicious Indian food, Pooja Indian Grill is the place. Last, they have a delicious Manga flavored ice cream to top it all off at the end! A must get! I highly recommend this place to anyone open to Indian food.

The lunch buffet here is by far the best I've had in Sacramento, others don't come close in terms of variety and flavor.

Everything was delicious. We did order everything in mild but it was kinda on the spicier side. Would definitely go back for dinner.

I asked Google maps for restaurants near me, and this was close by. I haven't had Indian food in a while, and it's been a favorite of mine for decades.

What a treat! The atmosphere shows huge pride in Indian culture, and I was there around 2:00 pm. They serve lunch specials from 11 am to 2:30 pm, and they have this lunch special with 6 different items (rice, naan, tandoori chicken, etc). The price is $14.99, and it's a bargain.

The decor pales into insignificance compared to the food. My lunch was too much food for one person, but it was so delicious, I over-ate with enthusiasm.

The different dishes are gently spiced for the American palate, but the flavors are so astonishing and rich, any more heat would diminish the fine nuances of the flavor. The naan was hot, with a perfect soft center and crunchy surface.

Every dish was perfect, and with 6 very different elements, that's difficult to achieve. It was a triumph of excellence.

I took my time. I savored every dish, every bite. I could feel myself getting full, and my body was saying no, but my taste buds and sensory systems were saying "Oh, just this once, treat yourself". 🤣

So I did.

I'll be back. Now I know what to expect, I'm going to get a to-go box right from the outset and put half away for later. Or take a friend and get two plates to eat off.

I'm looking forward to eating there with friends who enjoy Indian food. Particularly if they have never been there before.

I was a little scared to try this food as I had never eaten it before. I don't do well with even mild spicy foods. We has the Vegetables Pakori I think it was called. Vegetable Fritters in a Chickpea Sauce as an Appetizer. And then we ordered the Ginger and garlic Lentils (I can't remember the name) with Balsamic Rice and it was also delicious.
The Service was perfect. The atmoshere relaxing. And most importantly to me the place was very clean, inside and out.
I will go back and I will recommend it to my family and friends.

Felt like I’m back in Crawford Market in Mumbai. Got the Vegetarian Thali, the black dhal, Chana masala, sag paneer, veg pakora with rooti were just on point. Hubby got the non veg thali with chicken tikka, chicken makhni and lamb curry, he asked for seconds, it’s THAT good. ASK FOR THE CHUTNEYS. Transported me back, wishing there was Mango Amraz to wash it down in a hot day, with the humidity and sounds of Mumbai outside the establishment. Will be back!

This place is a diamond in the rough! Excellent seating, fast and courteous service, fast to receive good, gorgeous presentation, ample portions and very tasty with a fair price. What more would could you ask for? They will even change the spiciness of the food depending on your ability to handle it. Fyi, only order the spicy if you're a true champion like me!!

The buffet is awesome and it’s my 2nd time coming this week! The food is delicious and the to-go naan that comes with the buffet when taking it to go, so it is literally so awesome.

I order food for meetings at work. This week I needed catering for a co worker's going away party. I called in an order. I picked it up and everyone was so helpful. I ordered for 20 people, there was more than enough food. It was hot and fresh. I got tons of compliments on the choice of restaurants...but this is all Pooja Grill!!! Thanks so much.

Located in a hidden spot but it's definitely worth the find. I have only been here for the lunch buffet but the food is surprisingly very delicious and fresh! Definitely unexpected whenever you think of buffets in general. The usual suspects are here (butter chicken, Tikka masala), and there's many options for vegetarians. The mango ice cream is the crowd pleaser! I wish there was more of a kick in certain dishes but overall this one of the better Indian places in the area
