Tavern Grille

I wanted to come to Tavern Grille specifically for the prime rib dip. And it did not disappoint me. The prime rib for this sandwich is absolutely delicious and still medium rare to medium, and I love the French fries here. Matt and Deja (sorry if I didn't spell it correctly) are wonderful. In fact, every team member we encountered was very pleasant. The Tavern Grille will always be my favorite place in Cottonwood.

This place was busy, but worth the wait for indoor seating. The staff were pleasant and attentive despite how busy they were. The food came out hot and you can tell it was made with care.

Went here for our 10th anniversary. They have prime rib for 35.95 each after 4. It was delish! Service was great. A home style atmosphere. Great dining experience!

While staying in nearby Clarkdale, we drove two miles down Main Street to Cottonwood to enjoy a dinner at Tavern Grille. Tavern Grille is a lively place with a large bar in the front room and a dining room in the back. A large pane of glass separates the dining room from the kitchen, and guests can actually see the staff at work preparing meals. We were served by Arial, who made us feel welcome, answered our menu questions, and served our table well. My wife ordered Shrimp and Strawberry Spinach Salad. She is not a fan of shrimp, but the restaurant was happy to substitute chicken. She very much enjoyed her salad! My sister and brother in law both ordered shrimp tacos. They both enjoyed them, but wished the tacos came with beans on the side to make the meal a little more filling. I ordered fish and chips. The fries had a delicate breading for extra crunch. The fish had the crunchiest coating I've ever had in fish and chips. Very nice texture and taste! We enjoyed our meal, and Tavern Grille is a great place to get a good meal on Main Street.

As soon as we entered, we were warmly welcomed by the highly attentive and friendly staff, setting a delightful ambiance for the evening.

The Reuben sandwich was an exemplary take on a classic, skillfully layering flavors while preserving the essence of this time-honored delicacy. Separately, the meatloaf was hearty and delicious, setting a new standard for comfort food with its well-executed blend of spices and textures.
Also noteworthy was the Turkey Club, expertly assembled with layers of fresh turkey, crisp lettuce, and perfectly toasted bread.

Thoroughly enjoyed dinner at Tavern Grille in Cottonwood, AZ! Their cocktails were tasty, but not overpriced. Dinner (I had the Reuben, he had the crispy chicken salad) were both well-presented and delicious. The star of the meal was Becca, our waitress. She was just the right amount of friend, conscientious, and knowledgeable and really made the dinner memorable!

This place was super busy when we went and we didn’t have to wait long at all!

Went to the Tavern Grille for lunch as it looked like a neat place and was pretty busy on a Monday afternoon. We were immediately seated and greeted by Mary, our waitress, within a couple of minutes.

We ordered the Turkey Melt with sweet potato fries and the Triple Decker Club, minus tomatoes with regular fries. Drinks were the Old Town Cadillac and the Prickly Pear Margarita.

Drinks were served shortly and surprisingly not overly sweet which we loved. A lot of times they are very sugary and this was very refreshing to have ones that weren't. Sandwiches were very tasty and both the regular and sweet potato fries cooked to perfection. The green chilis blended well with the turkey and chipotle mayo for a very well balanced flavor. The sourdough bread on the triple decker sandwich was cooked evenly, not burnt or soggy. The meat was warm, the lettuce cold, making for a very enjoyable sandwich with a lot of flavor.

The restaurant was clean and well staffed. We really enjoyed our waitress as she was very attentive and friendly.

Overall, if you are on the fence about this place, go give it a try. You will not be disappointed. We will be back!

My wife and I came here while driving through town cause it got good reviews and we couldn't agree to what we wanted to eat. She had the tacos and I had the Reuben, both were phenomenal and came out nice and quick. I also had the sliders which could have been a meal on their own. They definitely don't skimp on serving sizes!

Service was polite, quick, and efficient.

That reuben was so gosh darn good, definitely recommend

Great restaurant that used to be an old theater.
Seating was comfortable. The atmosphere was relaxed and casual. The server was A+ , I believe his name was Alex. He is very attentive to his patrons. New we needed something before we new ! Great job.
Manger came over and checked on his guests, making sure everyone was comfortable.
BLTa was amazing, bacon was not overcooked, yet crispy. Served with avocado on wheat bread. 😋
Fish n chips were yummy also served with sweet potato fries.
Spinach and chip dip appetizer was also very good, although it wasn't enough dip for all the chips
Great place to kick back and relax in and enjoy either a lunch or dinner.
I would rate this a 4.6 stars for its overall presentation.

This was a pretty nice place. The atmosphere was nice and the food wasn't too pricey. I got the prime rib and it was pretty good. My wife got the Southwest melt and it was awesome. The service was a little slow, but not because rheu weren't hustling. I would recommend this place to anyone in Cottonwood.

Updated Nov 28 2023. Value, value, value. Outstanding prices for food and drinks. Our party of four had Martinis, Cabernet and Margaritas. The Coconut Shrimp app was excellent. Great service - still. Still a solid 5 stars. Pics attached.

Stopped in to The Tavern Grill for a quick cocktail before heading to dinner at another restaurant but could easily have had a wonderful meal here. Wonderfully varied menu. The drinks and cocktails do not skimp! Service was outstanding - friendly, inviting and added to our experience. Really cool bistro-like decor. Great prices. Stop in if you're in Cottonwood. You'll enjoy it.

He was cute and quick-witted, and quick witted, definitely had excellent people skills. Jose is his name. The food was tasty. I've never been disappointed eating here.
Everything we asked for came quick and with a smile.
Noisy, but it was New Years Eve. My friend and I enjoyed it.

We love the outdoor patio of The Tavern Grill. We wanted to enjoy the crisp fresh-air here in cottonwood Arizona and enjoy a late meal and some ice cold drinks. This place did not disappoint. We had the prime rib sliders and the Asian lettuce wraps appetizers and a few cold beers and some specialty cocktails. Everything was excellent.

Cesar salad, mini-sandwiches, BLT sandwich.l, french fries.. All very good. The best was French Onion Soup; delicious. The 3.5% credit card fee they charge is a bummer though.

We were there on a Friday night around 7 pm. It was quite loud, as grill was very busy. Food and service were excellent. Try their prickly pear margarita.

Loved this place. Great atmosphere, great energy. Staff were friendly and attentive from the time we walked in till we left.

Darby did a fantastic job with our order and provided superior service. She was very sweet and offered recommendations. The food was already great, but Darby made our experience that much better. I would highly recommend the Tavern Grill if you’re ever coming through Cottonwood. Ask For Darby, you wont be disappointed.

A great choice on our part. Loved the margarita I had. We had the pretzel and brat appetizer both which were good with the spicy mustard and the cheese sauce. We were really impressed by the salads that came before our meals. My friend had the teriyaki rice bowl and I had the filet trio with three different sauces. The seasonal vegetables were exactly what I wanted with such a rich meal.

Great food and atmosphere! The filet chili is a must have, shrimp tacos full of flavor and cooked perfectly and they have a great draft beer selection. Our server Darby recommended several draft options and gave us some samples to help us choose. Thank you for the excellent service Darby and we will for sure be back next time we are in town.
