St. Luke's Wood River Medical Center

I had surgery at Wood River St. Luke's, I had the best experience! From the time I walked the door until I left. I was treated with the utmost respect as was my husband. We had a place to park our trailer and had our little dogs with us. The people here are above awesome. Nathan was my day nurse, I would give him 10 stars! Dr Branum was also wonderful. Thank you Wood River St. Luke's for being wonderful.

A hospital isn’t exactly the preferred weekend getaway but the staff was wonderful. Service was prompt, and everyone displayed excellent communication skills regarding treatment, finances, you name it.

Especially Cindy W. At the receptionist desk, main entrance. I hope her week is as wonderful as she is.

I had outpatient surgery yesterday & the staff were so friendly & awesome! They took the very best care of me & my wife. Dr. Branum is the best surgeon & the entire nursing team really went the extra mile for us. Special thanks to Jonathan, Jeanine, Jason, & Heidi!! I am sure there others I am forgetting after anesthesia but everyone was awesome! God surely blessed us by sending us to St Luke’s Wood River Medical Center! I required an emergency appendectomy. Went to ER worried I was wrong in my self diagnosis. The staff from the front door until discharge 24 hours later treated me with the maximum level of warmth, professionalism, expertise and compassion. St. Luke’s and their people and culture are a blessing to the Wood River Valley and beyond. I am so grateful for the doctors, technicians and nurses.

I work there for so many years but the las year I was there 05/16 to 06/17 it was the awesomeness year I work there my supervisor that later of curse became Manager (because of her awesomeness)!Crystal McCumbs ( I hope I’m writing her last name right) was one of the best people I work for. Thank you Crystal for been such a great boss and great friend

I’ve been to the emergency room here twice now and both times I had such a great experience with the staff. They were all super friendly and helpful and wanted to help me in anyway they could. They even called me the next day to check up on me and see how I was doing. Keep up the great work!

Great little hospital with some incredible care for such a small town. StepDad had his hip replaced here and it was a great experience for both him and us as a family.

My husband had surgery here and everyone was very friendly the was a receptionist at the front desk that was a bit ruined I was asking for my husband and and she said to me I don't speak Spanish I had let her know lady I'm not speaking Spanish I'm asking for my husband

A new patient appointment costs $500.

I figured I would let everyone know ahead of time, because they certainly did not tell me ahead of time.

I went in to see a dermatologist in order to have a prescription written. I came in knowing what prescription I needed and without any questions. I saw the clinician for no more than 5 minutes at the absolute max. I would expect such a visit to cost around $100 anywhere else.

Had I known I would be receiving a bill for half a thousand dollars (and would ultimately be sent to a collections agency) I would not have sought medical treatment. Alas, they give no mention to how ungodly expensive a new patient appointment is.

Not everyone in Ketchum is loaded. Ski bums need to see doctors too. The least you could do is inform us of the cost ahead of time so we can make an informed decision about whether it’s worth seeking treatment.

2 ambulances, 4 paramedics for one dislocated shoulder. None of the paramedics could pop shoulder back in.. also why send 2 ambulances? The blonde (who said she knew how to relocate dislocated shoulders because she was on ski patrol and went to school for the medical field)'s attempt to pop the shoulder back in was a rather aggressive tug, didn't look proper & was unsuccessful... 4 paramedics standing around with little worry while my brother has his arm dislocated in pain. Thankfully my boss was understanding and I had to leave work and come rotate the arm back in position, took less than 10 seconds. The 4 paramedics were there for more 15 minutes. To the blonde who claimed she knew what she was doing, please revise your technique on how to relocate dislocated shoulders. I can only imagine some poor kid on the mountain getting his shoulder relocated by you "since youre on ski patrol". Ouch. To the other 3 paramedics that didnt know what to do & were just standing around, good job. Tax dollars hard at work. Careful, everybody.

My family visited redfish lake and had an emergency requiring hospital services. Sun valley was the closest hospital so we assumed that our loved one was there. The front office girl was so rude, unhelpful, insensitive and condescending. Very unprofessional. I hope I never have to need this hospital's services ever. Such a traumatic and frustrating experience trying to locate our loved one who we found out later was transported to boise. I had to beg her to give me the phone number of the st lukes ambulance service that was used in the transport. The worst experience I have ever had in a hospital waiting room.

I do hope you never have to seek medical care while traveling in Idaho. In the unfortunate event that you do, I hope that St Luke’s wood river ED is not the closest facility available to you. Compassionate care was not what they offered when we needed their help. Wait time and provider attitude were uninspiring.
