Johnny G's Sub Shack

Johnny G's is amazing! Great food, service, and just a really cool little shack with tons of memorabilia plastered all over the wall. There is definitely a lot of history at the little place. The food is fantastic! As a first-time goer, I ordered their first sub off the top of their menu, the Delbello, and the house special soup, tomato bisque. After a very short wait and good interactions with their service team I was first brought the tomato bisque, which for a good sized cup only cost me $4, and let me tell you, that is quite possibly the best money I've ever spent on soup. Absolutely fantastic! It's just a creamy and delightful, warm, and fulfilling soup with just the right amount of acidic bite. It's definitely the best bisque I've ever had. Then, after finishing my soup, they brought me my 12" Delbello sub, which cost me $14. Overall, I ended up spending just over $20 with tax, which is not bad at all for Ketchum. I then brought my sub back home with me, and even after 30 mins of sitting in the car, it had to be one of the best subs I've ever had. Great job, Johnny G's! You will always have my recommendation! 👏

I believe that this is the only good thing we found in Ketchum.. I had the #1 and my husband had the #7 and they were amazing! The service here was great, very friendly and patient even though it was very busy. We would come back if we ever had to pass through.

Teams that are supported thrive in this valley, and this team can read each others minds. They can't read customers minds, but their delectable menu is easy to choose from as it has a plethora of options for every style of hungry traveler. You will be glad you ate here.

Its like Cheers but they serve sandwiches. Everyone knows each other and nice. The folks were super nice and that means a lot in my book. The spot had outside and inside dining and lots of history on the walls. 3 vegetarian sandwiches and the soup of the day was tasty.

Food is Soooo good. Always packed so there is a bit of a wait ...which is understandable because everyone wants their delicious food.

The entire staff here absolutely kills it. There is a constant line out the door (it's nuts!) and they HUSTLE but still manage to stay friendly, welcoming and patient. Johnny and Gretchen are salt of the earth! The menu is great. Definitely something for everyone. Who else offers SPAM!!?? If you have a few extra minutes, spend your lunch $$ here.

Johnny G knows what’s UP when it comes to sandwiches! This is the type of place where if you walk in more than 4 times, your name and order is already known. It was my first time there, and I’ll certainly be back!

They make amazing sandwiches, that whole family can enjoy! Good food good fuel.

Very personable place. Love the tomato bisque and every sandwich. They also sell huckleberry lemonade...be prepared for a line and short wait during lunch hour. They also close at 2pm??? So no late afternoon snacks. Great family and love that the owner is almost always there working too.

As a local, I eat here often. Never disappointed. Small store and can get crowded but worth the wait. I LOVE the meatball sub! In the summer there is outside shaded seating. Reasonable prices and beer to boot!

As a resident of the Sun Valley area, i come here VERY often for multiple reasons. 1- i LOVE the food, the tomato bisque soup is my favorite in town & the sandwiches never disappoint. 2- The staff are so friendly & know me on a name basis due to my frequency which is a plus 3 - they are speedy, on my short lunch i don't have to worry about waiting around for my food without time to eat. All in all, amazing!

Real good vibes! Soda is extra fizzy. Homemade bread is on point. Genuine staff. Football sometimes plays on slightly upgraded but still sorta blurry TVs - makes it all the better. I recommend the Jesco Spam.
