Gold Mine Thrift Store

Decent deals that I saw for the most part like a $39 yakima bike rack that's on Amazon for 3x+

Hardcover books for $2, DVDs a bit over priced at $3, but some Disney still worth grabbing for that.

Largest used bike selection I've seen, less than new cost but none that made them irresistible to buy.

Fun staff playing music related to closing up for the day, lol.

What’s not to like about the Gold Mine!

I’m 62 years old and have been going there since I was eight years old… 1968!

I guess I’ve always liked bargains!

Prices at the gold mine have increased significantly since the beginning of 2022 but they have much more staff, the store is better organized and they have more stuff… So it’s a good trade off.

Outstanding variety and well-merchandised. Customer service is stellar and staff/management happy to reduce rices for unseen damages. I will return often and tell everyone to support this shop and the library!

A little pricey for secondhand, but only the higher quality items. This store is filled with great outdoor activity clothing for skiing, hiking, biking, running, scuba diving - anything you’d want to do outside! Their collection of gorgeous 90’s items with great fabrics is not to be missed. We understand why this place is called the goldmine, as we felt as the gold miners must have amongst these nuggets of textile bliss!

Amazing variety, well-organized. Some crazy nice stuff. Sometimes the good stuff is priced . . . Very high. And usually the OK stuff is also priced high. Like 3-8x higher than a usual Goodwill/DI price, but again, it's nice stuff.

Though small, this thrift store has a huge selection of items, and considering the community it sits in, you end up consistently finding high-end items at really affordable prices. The staff was very kind, as well.

This was the first time visiting, but it definitely won't be the last.

I wish I'd taken photos! We were very happy finding the business, I "Googled it!" while we were visiting the area for a conference. I must say, but it IS true, looking for things in a somewhat affluent area really does create some great finds at the area thrift stores. Shopping there saved us a ton of money on what we were looking for, my wife found a couple of recently very expensive purses and I found some books and DVDs all at below even the best Amazon prices. And shopping there helps the community, win-win! If in town, CHECK THIS PLACE OUT!!!

The Gold Mine is fantastic . Just like the name indicates there are a lot of jems to be found there. It is one of the first places I visit when I am in Idaho.

Fun thrift store in the heart of Sun Valley! Definitely some treasures in there, worth the time.

So many good finds here! It's usually clean and well organized in the shop. If your willing to spend some time looking, you can find great deals on good clothes.

Great stuff, very cheap prices! Also, this place supports the local library, so definitely worth it. Most of the stuff works or only has some easily repairable damage. Great!

The staff is always very friendly and helpful. Best prices on the thrift shops in the wood River valley. We shop here often. The selection is great.

This is a real rich man/ poor man scenario. Best place to cash in on rich people’s stuff or just poor people shopping. Either way good times to be had looking for a come up.

Store benefits local library. Masks required & worn by staff & shoppers when I was there early March. Good selection.

Allways a destination when we go to Ketchum. There's always a surprise somewhere within the grounds of the Goldmine. Best second thrift store ever.
