This cute little bakery is located in a refurbished train car. You step inside and order at a glass counter, so there is no seating inside, but they have set up an area outside to sit. I had the best cinnamon roll of my life here (no picture because I ate it too fast), and the other options are delicious as well. I will definitely be returning everytime I’m in town.

Fantastic little bakery/coffee shop built in an old rail car. Food is delicious, made from scratch and French inspired. Seating is outside, some covered some not. Right in the old downtown area of Clarkdale. Well worth the visit for a coffee, dessert, and/or breakfast sandwich.

**THE CART IS VIOLETTES BAKERY**
For some reason, sometimes Google shows it as “Clarksdale Caboose” when you search it.
Every time I come to Arizona to visit, I always make sure I stop by here for breakfast. I was sad they didn’t have their old menu with the Monte Clarksdale Croissant but I had the Rene & it was just as delicious :)
Amazing breakfast, cute place, & the nicest people!

We were leaving Jerome and looking for a place for breakfast, and we found this jewel of a spot in downtown Clarkdale. Violette’s really majors on doing their best to present a French atmosphere and offers a variety of French inspired food. I had the “Frenchie” crepe and it was absolutely delicious. My wife had the “Famous Waffle Plate.” She was pleasantly surprised at how moist it was in the center and enjoyed the flavor of it. I all had their German Spice Cake and loved it (I’m a spice cake fan)! My wife enjoyed their Almond Croissant better than the waffle and said it was the best she ever had.
The seating is mostly outdoor with French inspired music and the day we went the weather was perfect. The staff was nice and friendly and we enjoyed it experience. I definitely recommend this place as a stop on your travel.

Quaint is the best way to describe a caboose setting on the corner of a downtown intersection. I like to stop in every once in a while while I am out walking . Authentic French cuisine served. If you're in town, stop in have a coffee or pastry.

Great views! Delicious breakfast, brunch and lunch. The atmosphere is absolutely fantastic. My absolute favorite spot in the Verde Valley and Sedona area.
The staff is super friendly and kind. The terrace is facing the sun and even on a cloudy day in winter - it feels nice and warm to sit outside. There's also a covered area.
Every day there are different pastries (European and American). My only wish is that they were open 24/7 so i can pick up a little cake when i want one:)

Super friendly staff serving really delicious food! Love the quiche, the pumpkin waffle (oh my goodness! what a taste sensation!!) and the amazingly tasty fruit tart! Great little place for a yummy meal. You can stay there to enjoy your meal seated at one of their outdoor tables or even consider walking to nearby benches situated to look out over the valley towards Jerome. Very lovely!
UPDATE: +JMJ. Wednesday, 13 July 2022 Arrived this morning after 9 am and found them to be very busy with many of the tables (outdoor) full and a line of customers. This is such a blessing for the owner, Amber. She prepares phenomenal pastries and offers French cuisine (Croque Monsuier and Madame) which I have yet to try but am hopeful to do in the future. This morning's yummy pastries ordered were 2 scones and one chocolate croissant. The pecan and brown sugar scone is the yummiest pastry I have ever eaten (even better than what I have eaten during a visit to the UK!) Buttery sweetness is melt in your mouth wonderful! Also, during this visit, I could hear what sounded like 1920s or 1930s music. Love it! Though I am not a crowd person, I will have to subdue my fears for another visit. If ever in old town Clarkdale, stop in for an amazing culinary experience. Blessings and Bon Appétit!

Great experience, my wife and I saw and review for Violette’s on PBS and knew we had to make the trip. The waffle sandwich was fantastic, enough to share for sure. We also had a crème and fruit crepe, just as good. Washed it all down with some latte’s and was well worth the drive from Phoenix. Have some pastries for the drive home to enjoy.

This was a great little place for breakfast. Wonderful atmosphere and seating outside the train car, which was the kitchen. It has a walk-up window where you order. They serve coffee, pastries, and breakfast items from the menu.

We had the breakfast special of the day, which was a banana fosters crepe, and also one of the best breakfast dishes I've ever had, The Big Royale Sandwich. I would have loved to try all the different pastries, but was too full after the breakfast. Someday, though.

Do yourselves a favor and stop here. It's worth it.

Very good food. Real French pastries and amazing croissants. Great place to sit - who doesn’t love a train cafe that is still on tracks !

Super friendly service - really cannot recommend this place any more ! Not to be missed breakfast in the area.

Bikers eating croissants next to floppy hat ladies to classic French music is an Arizona special experience.

Small gem of a place to enjoy some great food. The place is part of a railway car in Violet color. A slice of Paris nestled in Clarkdale. Coffee was made in a unique way, the food was delicious, staff was super friendly. We had brunch on a great day!

It's not just the location for this French restaurant. It's well known for miles and miles all around because of its proprietor number one, the freshness of the delicious food they have to offer. It's ike you are sitting in the country side of French, eating their local cuisine...each bite gets better and better. The patios are outside with lots of shade, there is a covered area with sprinklers. Lots of motorcycles with a line out of the door because it's so popular. There is plenty going on with an art museum acrossthe street, the train station, lots of hiking opportunities. Something you definitely want to experience because the list goes on and on.

Quite possibly the best quiche and strawberry danish I have ever had!! Wish they were open on Sundays so I could stop by again before leaving Clarkdale. If you're in the area you should definitely try them out!

Great small town bakery with nice choices! Cute setup too! Make sure you check the hours before planning a trip, but well worth it.

Amber's pastries are the best in the Verde Valley, she puts her heart and soul into everything she does. Go get your favorite sweet treat and try my favorite espresso drink, Nis' Honey Buzz!!

Perfect breakfast spot conveniently located in Historic Clarkdale. Friendly service and food was wonderfully made with care. Plenty of space to sit down and enjoy your meal in the sun. Highly recommend the waffle plate or big royale sandwich, they were delicious! We’ll be back ❤

Violette’s has so much charm and it should be a stop if you coming to visit Clarkdale. The Caboose adds a bit of France to the downtown Clarkdale area and is the perfect place to stop for breakfast (baked goods or sandwiches), coffee or a midday treat! There is outdoor seating for customers to enjoy their food while taking in the history of the building across the street.
