Elkhorn Cabins and Inn

This place was wonderful! I could tell just from stepping in to the registration office that I was going to love it. Very tastefully decorated. Two chairs in the room for sitting, very comfortable bed and pillows. Fresh clean towels and sheets. They don’t allow cooking in the room. Wasn’t a concern for us. They provided restaurant list for town. Walkable 2-6 blocks for dining. Coffee and packaged danish or muffins in morning. Microwave in separate room with ice machine. Would definitely stay again. Very short drive to Yellowstone park entrance

This place is absolutely adorable! The attention to detail with everything on the property and the rooms is perfect. The bed was so comfortable, best sleep I got in a hotel! It’s located walking distance to everything in West Yellowstone which was great! I will 100% recommend to anyone visiting Yellowstone. Thank You for a great stay!

Such a great find in West Yellowstone! The room was very clean, the bed was very comfortable, and parking was easy. Devonte was super friendly and helpful. Very close to Yellowstone park entrance and easy to find, so the perfect location. As a solo female traveler, I felt safe and secure, and wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

Five Star ⭐ ⭐⭐⭐⭐ at affordable prices. The Elkhorn Cabins in West Yellowstone was a delightful welcome to our vacation trip to Yellowstone NP.
The rooms are cozy and comfortable. While they are small (we chose the Queen room for 2) it brings a sense of peace nestled in the forest.
We were very impressed with the nice touches of caring kindness that a put smile on our faces. The sweet words and welcoming spirit of Janise (sp?) at the front desk office were very appreciated. The effort to handwrite ✍ us a note to greet us as we entered the room; and nice quality of the toons were all incredible gestures of courtesy and kindness that sets this place apart from a place to stay to a haven of hospitality. We had jet lag from our travels and trip from Indiana to Bozeman into West Yellowstone.
We chose the Elkhorn cabins due to their proximity to Yellowstone National Park as well as a relaxing and affordable place to stay. We were not disappointed. Rooms were clean. Bed was cozy. Rooms have a fridge.
Staff is very friendly and pleasantly welcoming.
We loved this place and if we ever return to West Yellowstone- we would definitely chose the Elkhorn Cabins as our home away from home 👍

We came into West Yellowstone after a long day of exploring Yellowstone National Park, and it was clear we were going to have a hard time finding a place to stay. We called around to a number of locations that were either full, or had a price tag of $250+ per night (which we were trying to avoid.) We ended up stopping in at the Evergreen Motel to check availability (they had none) but sent us over to the Elkhorn Cabins and Inn (appeared to be a sister location) and they had 1 cabin left. The lady in the front office told us the normal rate is $180, but they'd give it to us for $170 as it was their last cabin, and it was after 9pm. She warned us the cabin was their smallest, and the beds were queen sized bunk beds, but all we needed was a place to lay our head for the night and took it. Lemme tell you - this cabin was the cutest dang thing I have ever seen. It was called "The Yellowstone Cabin" and yes it was small, and yes there were bunk beds, but the entire place was rustic, and cozy, and comfortable. Although it could technically sleep 4, I do not recommend sharing the space with 4 people, unless they're your small children. There is no counter space in the bathroom, but everything was updated and clean and perfect for one cute night's stay. The people were friendly, and everything was updated and new. If you're ever passing through, check out these cabins. They are simply adorable!

The minute I saw a 4.4 star rating for a 2 star hotel, I knew I had to see it. To see it, especially the flower baskets and patio in front of the office was to love it. I was touched by the handwritten note left in the room and I loved the food recommendations. I also loved the friendly staff and effort they put into making things neat and clean. I'll come back again.

We had such a good time staying at the Elkhorn Cabins! The rooms were so cute and the customer service was amazing. Location wise, it’s right outside the west entrance to the park and near many restaurants. We definitely plan to visit again!

We loved this place. Not sure why others thought it was pricey. It was a great deal to us. Better than a Holiday Inn or other corporate hotel. The spaces here are beautifully decorated. The shower was nice and hot with great pressure. Beds are comfortable. It even smelled wonderful and they offer free use of essential oil diffusers in your room. Location is ideal just outside of Yellowstone's west entrance. Nice personal touches such as handwritten note, restaurant recommendations handout, snacks/coffee in the office, danishes in the morning, etc. Wifi was great. Highly recommend.

Great location within walking distance of stores and restaurants. Room is very small, but you can tell that a lot of work has been put into maintaining the property. Wonderful service

Stayed here while we explored Yellowstone for 3 days. It was adorable!! So simple yet perfect. Had everything we needed and more. The rooms are cozy too. It's less than 5 minutes from the West entrance to the park and walking distance from the restaurants and shops.

We reserved a cabin here when visiting Yellowstone National Park. The day we arrived we got moved to their other property called Moose Creek Cabins because of an issue with the original room, but it was absolutely wonderful. I highly recommend the single cabins. Very cozy and super clean and comfortable. Even though we stayed at their other property and got moved at the last minute, we appreciated that they notified us, were accommodating and arranged this for us. We also had to check in late because we were running behind on the road and they were very understanding. Very friendly staff and very nice cabins. We will definitely be back again when visiting Yellowstone!!

A delightful little place just outside the west entrance to Yellowstone. Incredibly kind people, exceptionally clean rooms, really comfortable bedding and beds… We love the historic aspect of the cabin that we stayed in and would definitely stay there again when we’re in West Yellowstone next

It is obvious that this is an older motel as you pull up but the exterior is.clean and quaintly updated. The main office is well appointed and smelled amazing with essential oils being diffused. Our room was well renovated and designed and most importantly spotless. The bed was comfortable. The staff was courteous and very friendly. They offered an essential oil diffuser and scent of our choice to be used in our room for a peaceful relaxing feeling. The guest book in the room was full of delightful advice. We walked just a block for dinner. It rained while we were out but when we returned there was a rainbow that seemed to land right on the Elk Horn sign....that was recommendation enough!! It was well worth the stay

Located in West Yellowstone. Rooms are very cozy. The town is easily walkable. Comfy beds and helpful staff.

We are in The Obsidian Cabin and it is nice. While the town of West Yellowstone is somewhat of a tourist town, this place has some thoughtful additions that make it more than just a stopover near Yellowstone. Clean. Comfortable beds. Great history on the cabin. A kind amd efficient front office staff (Queue was his name...hopefully I didn't completely mess up the spelling of his name). All in all I will give the cabin accommodations 2 thumbs up!

We stayed here for our anniversary and it was PERFECT! Just a 5 minute walk from downtown and minutes from the West entrance to the park. The service was top notch and provided recommendations for meals along with daily cleaning service and morning coffee & pastries. Would highly recommend staying here!

Exquisite room decor, very clean, the best beds, everything you need is included. In spite of its smallish size, the room has space for everything. Excellent shower, linens, bedding. Just a lovely accommodation withing walking distance of pubs,restaurants, coffee shops, ice cream, the Playmill, etc. without being in the middle of the hustle & bustle. The one thing I'd add is a couple of hooks in the bathroom for towels you plan to reuse. Lobby and check-in was nicely appointed and pleasant.

After getting such a good deal I was slightly skeptical of the quality but ended up getting the deal of the century! This place is the cutest! Very modest and understated motel/cabin look on the outside but the rooms are updated and very modern/rustic. The front desk was very friendly, informative and helpful in making suggestions for our trip which was all reiterated in the binder provided in the room. Not to mention they allowed us to check in about 3 hours early without any hassle. Parking is slim but the small cozy feel is what makes this place so special. So happy with our stay and I highly recommend!

This place was a delight. It was well ran and very clean. The cabins were quaint but updated enough to be enjoyable. It was just downtown from west Yellowstone. It was a great to stay here.

Really nice little cabins, probably one of the nicer places in West Yellowstone; and certainly better than hotel room. Al little on the expensive side, but that's because it is high season and there is a big demand for tourist services and lodging general. These cabins are equipped with everything you need for a comfortable night's stay, and they're pretty big inside. We.stayed in the Gallatin Cabin and it had two queen beds, a fully equipped bathroom and a little sitting area with a refrigerator and coffee machine. Outside, on the street, we had a small porch with a table and chairs. Perfe6for having a drink before dinner. The cabin was clean and tidy, everything in good repair. Highly recommend staying here if you are ever in West Yellowstone, Montana!
