Lazy Duck Inn (Formerly Lazy G Hotel)

Very cute, clean motel with a 1960’s cabin feel. It had everything we needed for 4 days, a little kitchen with a 2 burner cook top, small fridge, microwave, toaster, dishes for 4, dining table. There was a freezer outside the office with ice to fill your ice chest for your daily excursions. It was within walking distance to the downtown area and about a 5 minute drive to the west entrance to Yellowstone park. The owner was very friendly. Would definitely come back again.

Everything in West Yellowstone is overpriced; it's a tourist trap. That said, the Lazy G Motel was relatively inexpensive and the rooms were neat and clean. The woman at the front desk was very pleasant and helpful. I would definitely stay there again.

We chose this motel because of the reasonable price and enjoyed our 5 night stay.
The room was spacious, the
kitchenette basic but fine.
Plenty of good light in tbe room.
The wifi was so-so but managable.
Comfortable close up parking.
We did miss having an electric kettle to boil tea but used the coffee/ tea maker or boiled water in a pan.
The kitchen should have a towel to clean the table, or more paper towels. The bathroom should have a toilette brush to clean. But these are small things. Be advised tbere is no airconditioning if you hit hot weather. We called to get more toilet paper and got it immeduately. And were brought more capsules of tea. I would highly recommend this place to anyone wishing a few nights arround.

The relationship between price and comfort is excellent. Rooms are very clean and cozy. I loved to be a little bit far away from very tourist places. When you check in some nice welcome snacks are waiting for you. Choose this motel if you spend your nights in west Yellowstone.

We stayed 6 nights here while fly fishing. The property is a motel which is ideal for carrying fishing gear in an out to the car but, its also an exceptionally clean and well laid out property with well thought out amenities like a few picnic tables and a grill in a common area. And, ice pre-packaged in assorted size bags and baggies free for daily use. I'm picky about cleanliness and I've never found a cleaner place. I'm also picky about beds and the beds seem to be very recently updated or very well maintained. No A/C might be a factor in the summer but I didn't miss it in mid September for a minute. That said, nights in the mountains tend to be cooler & dryer than the midwest anyway. There's super handy, delicious place for breakfast about 300 yards away. Janice is a very diligent, responsive & pleasant motel owner. This is a very smart choice. Everything here is maintained to a high standard. And, since its a mile or two out of the shopping district, very quiet and restful.

I stayed here for four nights while visiting Yellowstone. The location is great; the rooms were really clean; the staff was friendly; and the bed was comfortable. There were a few nitpicks--it would have been nice to have a microwave in the room instead of just in the lobby, and the wifi was a little spotty at times. But overall, it was a great experience. It's right next to the park, so obviously you're going to be paying more; but Lazy G had one of the best prices we were able to find.

Cozy, well equipped room was spotless. We stayed 5 days and the owner made us feel like royalty. Very reasonable and perfect place to stay in West Yellowstone.

One of my favorite places to stay. The staff make you feel at home and also very knowledgeable of anything you want to do in Yellowstone. Clean, comfortable rooms and very well priced. I have a family of 5 and took advantage of their family suites. Fisherman friendly.

Amazing place, perfect distance from main strip without it being too loud. The owners were super nice and accommodating. Rooms were clean. Also super cute dogs.

There's no air conditioning (in our room), but the ceiling fan and ability to open windows on both sides of the room made it nice and cool throughout the night. Excellent service and unexpected room refresh during our two days. We slept very comfy and will. definitely be back!

Room was very nice and clean, beds are super comfy, staff was amazing. Easy in and out access. Highly recommend this for your next stay in West Yellowstone. We will be back!

Spent 8 nights here, everything was great! Hosts greet you on check-in with a nice treat bag. An upright freezer near office is stocked with ice bags for use in your coolers. Bed comfortable, great water pressure for showers.

I have never posted a review for anything but had to post this. This is one of the coolest places I've stayed in. When I checked in the lady gave me a gift bag with candy, chips, package of crackers, and a protein bar. That's is way to cool. The people are friendly, the rooms are very clean, the rate is very reasonable considering the other places around. Your within walking distance to Main Street and the restaurants. Do yourself a favor. If your in town you need to stay here. If I ever come through this way again I will stop here.

I called the Lazy G after other lodging in West Yellowstone was charging more than "in Park" lodging. I was delighted to find such a clean and cozy room for my night's stay. Plus—plus!—I was amazed when the owner, who checked me in, brought a little bag out from under the counter and said she had a gift bag for me! For me!! Inside the bag was a Bear Naked bar (yum!), Tom's toothpaste & toothbrush, and other goodies. Give me a small, family-owned and operated motel over a sterile motel chain any day!

I have stayed here multiple times over the last 14 years, including several times with close friends. Our hosts have always been welcoming and make us feel at home. The Lazy G is our choice for lodging in West Yellowstone.

I truly enjoyed my stay at the lazy G it's a very clean motel and has great prices for there rooms. Also owner and staff are very friendly. Room are very clean and love the pine wood walls. Look forward to staying next time I'm in west Yellowstone.

This place was great - came recommended to us from a couple we met out hiking. Cheaper than other places in town and super friendly employees. You might need to drive to get to downtown or you can walk a ways which was fine by us. Nice little room was clean, warm and soft bed - best thing ever after a long backpacking trip in the park!

Very clean and although simple..very tastefully done.

We took the family room with a kitchenette. Was very convenient as it had a cooktop, refrigerator, microwave and toaster..not to mention cups and pots and pans.

Good value for the price..rooms could have been a little bigger.

This place was awesome! If you are ever in West Yellowstone area you should pick this place. Owner and staff were great and very friendly. You got fresh linens everyday, with your beds made! All around experience was great. Would stay again!
