White Buffalo Hotel

We were here at White Buffalo for just one day. But I really liked the place, it was well maintained and the staff is very courteous.

They offer free breakfast for 2 people per room, if your a group of 3/4 you will need to pay extra, 12.5$ per person. That was something new but I liked their business idea. Kudos to whoever thought of it!

Although it was very expensive for just just one night, I would think the memorial day weekend would be the one to blame for that.

It is pretty close to west yellowstone entrance, so for anyone looking for a place during their visit to YNP, White Buffalo is a good place.

We showed up at the end of the summer season when it was very slow. Great time to visit the park and this place. The hotel was clean and the receptionist was eager to help us acquire a room for the night. It was five in the afternoon when we showed unannounced, she quickly had us in a room for what we (my fiancé and I) believe was the cheapest in town for the night at a $100. BIG rooms, clean, 2 queens with 4 great pillows on each and a well stocked room and even a well stocked "snack bar" with free coffee, free hot chocolate and a creamer machine my girl wants at our house now, ha. Pleasant stay, convenient to the park, restaurants and bars/drinks. We would recommend this place.

I stayed in room 101. The bed is comfortable, the shower is hot and the pressure is good. Those points are tops on my list. I loved the embroidered sheets and the size of the room was spacious. The whole place was very clean and there was 24/7 hot water and coffee. The breakfast buffet was bountiful and the servers were courteous and attentive. It was a great place to stay while visiting Yellowstone. I highly recommend.

Older building with *no elevator*, so make sure to book a ground floor room if you have mobility issues or will have trouble bringing your luggage up the stairs. The plus side is that the room itself is pretty spacious. Fridge didn't have a freezer compartment. Reception staff was very courteous. Included breakfast buffet had decent variety of standard fare and drinks, though we had to pay for our child separately. Overall good value here given the proximity to Yellowstone. 4.5⭐

We only stayed one night but honestly wanted to stay for two. Older but clean and lots of character. Kids would love it (big white ceramic buffalo statue in the lobby). Ask for the lower level as there's no elevator. No pool tho...some of the photos for the hotel show a pool.

Nice location, 3 minutes from Yellowstone West Entrance and walking distance to downtown.
Our room was sparkling clean, spacious, equipped with microwave and refrigerator. Beds were confortable whin really clean linens.
The staff were very friendly and accommodating. General Manager took care of every detail. The ladies serving the breakfast were so polite and nice. Breakfast is buffet-style, but not self serve, they serve you what you wish to eat from their selection; I wished all hotel buffets were doing this, this promotes cleanliness and avoid wastefulness. Breakfast is prepared fresh every day and is delicious and very filling.
I’m glad we stayed at the White Buffalo and we will definitely stay in here when we visit again. I highly recommend it!!!

Fantastic location, just outside it of the park and Close to downtown.
The staff was very friendly, took care of a small issue I had with the finances.
Amazing breakfast, made fresh everyday, and super filling.
The rooms were very nice and clean, the bed were actually pretty comfortable. If you like a foam mattress maybe bring a foam mattress topper.
Highly recommend starting here!

Boutique hotel. Great price, great location, great staff. We really loved the attention to detail in the rooms: customized bed spread and body pillow! We loved the pictures above the beds. This is such a great little hotel, and we are already planning to stay here on our next trip to Yellowstone!

The only 2 things that need improvement was the shower head and the bathtub needs to be regrouted in room 262.

Best place we've stayed at so far in the US. Good value with spacious rooms, super clean, amazing staff and great breakfast. Highly recommend.

The hotel is located right in the downtown which is half a mile away from the Yellowstone west entrance. Our room was clean, spacious and cozy as well as equipped with cable tv, microwave, mini-refrigerator etc. which I think were essential for longer stays(>3 days).
They also offer free breakfast which was fresh and super filling. I’m glad for having chosen White Buffalo for our first stay at Yellowstone and will be visiting here again! Highly recommended!

I was very satisfied with this hotel.

The room had an odd layout - with a front door and a back door, but it felt vacationy .It was quite clean and pleasant .The staff was helpful, and the breakfast layout dealt effectively with the covid situation. As one of the least expensive rooms available. I was surprised at how nice it was in general. They might want to make the courtyard ( old pool, maybe?) a more level area, but that was really no big deal. Especially at the price, you could not really beat it. Very nice

Best place to stay in West Yellowstone. Staff was very helpful and friendly. The room's were great. Would highly recommend!

Stayed 2 nights. Room was better than the Yellowstone park rooms with more amenities and half the price. But farther from attractions. The breakfast was OK. Nothing to write home about but it was free!

Would stay there again.

This was a nice hotel. Clean, great breakfast one of the best I've had at a hotel, and friendly staff. The rooms were huge and had plenty of space. The beds were only okay. They were very bouncy and not very supportive but the linens were great. They had soap and shampoo dispensers in the showers but no conditioner. I would suggest bringing your own if you have a lot of hair that needs higher quality shampoo and conditioner. It was hard to get a parking spot on the shreet in front of the hotel so parking was a little difficult. Overall great hotel we were happy.

Excellent service. The staff were friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean and cozy. No problems with water temperature like other reviews have complained. We had hot water when we wanted. Location is excellent, walking distance to town and super close to Yellowstone entrance. Be sure to buy your Yellowstone pass online to get in faster. The park across the street is great for families with kids. Would stay here again.

Okay dude straight up I stayed here for the night before I went to visit yellowstone and see old faithful and let me tell you this was an awesome hotel! First off I told them I was going to be late so they left my key by the office for me so I didn't have to deal with all that nonsense of checking in and on top of that the location was perfect! I got to the park quick from here it was awesome. The while hotel was clean and the staff was friendly. I really enjoyed their breakfast which was fresh and delicious. When I come back I'm definitely going to return here because this hotel made my experience a lot better. I can't recommend it enough.

great location. rooms are spacious and clean. breakfast is very food. set up buffet style. Melissa at the front desk is really a jewel. hotel is not fancy but great location, good people and wonderful service.

Friendly and helpful, family owned so they care about your experience unlike the big chains. They went out of their way to make sure my 3 boys had an amazing first Yellowstone trip. The breakfast was great and a good variety. I even went to exchange some cash for quarters to use the laundromat and they just gave me the quarters I needed and would't take my money in exchange. I would recommend to anyone looking for a good deal and a good place to stay.

This hotel has such great service! I was lost my rose gold diamond ring in the room when I remember it we already left the hotel! Thank God I called the front desk they found it in my room! Guess what?! They send the ring to the address which I provided in the next Two hours! So thankful we stayed this great hotel! An other service is great too! Recommend this hotel!

I love this hotel! We’ve been traveling across the US and while every other hotel served breakfast in a bag too disgusting to consume, White Buffalo served a hot breakfast behind a sneeze proof guard. And it was good food, not hotel food where you can tell everything comes frozen or from a box. SO impressed. And the hotel itself was clean, well-maintained, and the rooms so spacious.
The woman at the front desk was super helpful about our one day in Yellowstone, and the park across the street is a good energy release for kids.
I’d absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone.
