El Caporal Mexican Restaurant Dinwiddie

This was my first experience coming to the El Caporal, and it was DELICIOUS. My wife got the Pollo Sammy which was cooked to her liking. I got the Burrito Chipotle. The flavor was amazing. The menu stated it was "hot" but it wasn't hot to me. I love spicy. The cheese dip was great with the chips and Ranchero and salsa. Now for dessert we got Churros to go, My wife hasnt found any authentic Churros, until now. They were crispy on the outside, nice and chewy on the inside with the right amount of cinnamon sugar dusted on top. The wait staff was very friendly and fast. I'll definitely go back here. RECOMMENDED!!!

Went here today for mothers Day lunch with another couple.
They gave us a beautiful rose at the door and a big happy mothers day shout out. We really loved the sweet gesture. The food was perfect, and the service was excellent, of course. Thank you for making a special mothers day for us. 💚

Pollo Sammy is my favorite. I love all the veggies.

I eat here regularly and love it every time. They have good salsa and white sauce. Even during busy lunch time the food always come to the table within about ten minutes.
It has always tasted fresh and hot.

So good you're only seeing a picture of whats left!! Their sign says "A taste of Texas in Virginia". Well Virginia you have lucked out. There are too many places in Texas that are this good. We are visiting Texans and have been looking for a good place to go. We could not be happier and even planned our next meal before leaving.

I had the enchiladas carnitas and my wife had the burritos fajita. (one chicken and one steak) The pork carnitas were AMAZING! Some of the best carnitas I have ever had and definitely recommend of your looking for something.

The "salsa blanca" is a house created sause served with their regular salsa and chips. I literally asked is they bottled it for sale. Soo good.

is it top of the line everything? no, but the service is great, even on a busy night and the food is great and usually quick. if you are looking for that illusive white sauce that is NOT white cheese, this place has it! chips are warm, salsa is bright with cilantro and fresh ingredients. not the cheapest, but definitely fair prices.

My family was driving back home to NJ from NC and made a gas stop and checked out this restaurant. Food was good, Mexican food is usually hit or miss. We enjoyed it very much and we are mexican so we can be pretty harsh critics. The portions were big and the food was seasoned great. Would recommend 👍🏾

We got there when it 1st opened! We were the 1st people!! But it got packed in less than a hour!!! We seen why !!! The food was so delicious everyone was so nice and polite!!! Just a great place to eat and drink a few drinks!!! I’m telling you it’s a awesome place!!!!

Mexican food is Mexican food....wrong!! This little place has the best food outside of El Paso Texas. The service is fast, the servers are professional & oh my the food is great. Worth the drive if you don't live close.

They always have good service and nice servers who do their best to service all the tables well. Have not any had any problems at this location before.

I got off the highway and came here for lunch not knowing what to expect. Ordered chicken tacos to go and wow, it was such a pleasant surprise. It cost around 13 after tax and I first thought it was a bit pricy, but the quality and the amount of food was just worth it. They also had a good service and the food came out quickly. Thank you! Will definitely stop by again.

My wife and I stopped in randomly driving down the road. Just traveling through the area. We were seated immediately the food was fresh and delicious. Service was great. Wish we had this restaurant in our town.

Absolutely ASTOUNDING customer service! My family and I met for dinner here on a Thursday evening. One of us ordered something from the bar that the restaurant did not stock. Instead of refusing the order, the manager drove to the store, purchased that ingredient necessary, prepared the drink and served it. Who does that!?
