In my mind, Club Char-Les-Manze has been here forever. As a child it was a forbidden place for me... Members (who were adults) Only and you couldn't get in unless you knocked on the locked door and someone let you in or you had a key. During those years there several private clubs in Petersburg and they each had that same Members Only rule. You were considered "special" when you belonged to these clubs and becoming a member was not easy. I always loved the air of mystery behind the private clubs in our city am quite surprised none of our local authors have put pen to paper about them yet. I bet there's a wealth of stories waiting... Charles Lee start your research 😉.
Club Char-Les-Manze is still a wonderful place to have an event, the club members are loud, friendly people who welcome you like old friends. 😀
