Papa Nacho Mexican Bar and Grill

A few friends used to tell me about this place all the time. I went one day, and I've been going ever since. Good food, good vibes, and a great staff. They have $1.50 beers with a one-time purchase of a cup and also do karaoke on Thursday nights from 7pm-11pm, with a live DJ and music.

PAPA NACHO'S IS HANDS DOWN THE BEST MEXICAN RESTAURANT IVE EVER BEEN TO! THURSDAY NIGHT KARAOKE IS SO MUCH FUN! FOOD IS ALWAYS GOOD AND DRINKS EVEN BETTER!! DEFINITELY FAMILY FRIENDLY FUN!

I really enjoyed my mother's day dinner tonight. The food was amazing as always, the place was busy but we didn't have to worry about our drinks being empty, the food arrived pretty quickly.
They are kid friendly and the margaritas were so good.

The Rancheros is what I had. It was so good and the portions were huge.

We went to Papa Nacho's for my sister's birthday. (July 27th) The place was packed on a Thursday night and my sister and brother in law sang karaoke. We had a blast. I was so impressed! Definitely my favorite restaurant. Thank y'all for the best service, food and entertainment ❤❤

Authentic Mexican cuisine. Great salsa and the El Pastor is exquisite!! 🤯 Bar specials most days. They make their own 🫓 tortillas!! A lively celebration of food!
Still my go-to Tex-Mex! And I have moved to Williamsburg!!

Loved this place, they had great selection of drinks, the atmosphere was lively, great selection of music, amazing service and the food was delicious. Best Mexican joint so far. Had the Quesabirria, the portion was huge just wished the consome had more flavor.

Recommend! Visited with family as they live in the area and was recommend Papa Nachos, very satisfied. The space was very crowded (friday night) but service was fast from the server, bar and cook side with everything coming out fast and friendly all around. Decent size restaurant indoor and patio, all well kept and clean. Would recommend!

Food is sooo good! We've had the elotes, chimichangas (fried), tacos, quesadillas, chorizo queso, queso and our favorites are the birria tacos and elotes. Service is always quick, friendly, prices are very fair, drinks are good and my kid loves going there.

The place was very packed but staff was so fast that i only waited in like for about 7 mins (there was 2 parties ahead of me and i still got a table that quickly). Food came out quickly and their food tasted great they even make their own tortillas!

Been wanting to try them since they opened.. finally did and it was great. Great atmosphere, great food, decent price, great service. Plaza WAS my favorite Mexican food place around here for years but... I think they just took over that role for me. Highly recommend.

Pretty good Mexican food for the price. Me and my bf ate here and we both agree this is one of our favorites. The meats were cooked and seasoned and everything tasted great.

The food and the service was good. After 10 pm the place switches over to a night club which is a little weird for me but everyone else seemed to enjoy themselves. Bathrooms were clean and it was a good night out.

My review is based on the one time I had lunch here at Papa Nacho. The $10 lunch special I had was good. I suggest giving them a try.

Amazing food and amazing customer service.

Best Mexican place I've ever had! I love everything they make but I really love the Chipotle Enchiladas, rice, refried beans and Tacos Zacatecas. In fact, I think they have the best rice and tacos I've ever had anywhere.

Staff are friendly. They do karaoke on Thursdays. Prices are fair. You can't beat Papa Nacho.

First time here. Great service, drinks and food. Lots of Mexican restaurants around here, and Papa Nacho is up there with the best.

Melanie, Kay, Kat and the staff are nothing short of AMAZING!!! From the time you walk in the door until the moment you leave, you feel like family! And did I say just how good the food is? 5 stars....would give it 10 stars if I could. If you get a chance to go tell them Courtney sent you...I guarantee you won't be disappointed!!!! Saw this new place and decided to stop in for lunch. The food is awesome!! I love the white sauce and chips, I'm glad they didn't mind I ate four bowls of it.

Went there for late meal and this place turns into a latin night club. Had some great drinks,they make them on the strong side.Yes Please!. Salsa Music, Bachata Music, Reggaetone Music,Merengue Music. It was great!!!!
Thursday nights from 7-11, Fridays from 11-2, Saturday 11-2 pm 😀 😎. After Hours food is Hot perfectly cooked Chicken Wings and French Fries. Met the owner Carlos and the night manager Mel and Beto. I will gladly keep coming back for the service and atmosphere.

Great drinks and food !!! The manager was amazing and very caring of my time there . Vocal about being short staffed but still executed and delivered everything on time. Great environment and clean. Next time I’m in Newport News I will be back
