We loved this Florida State Park near St Augustine! If you like being and feeling like you're in old school Florida this is the park for you. It's about 3 miles back in from route 1. Large camp spots and very private which is what we like. They even rake by hand every spot after someone leaves for the next campers. Love it! We would definitely stay here again.

Quiet riverside park. Google maps takes you the wrong way!! Call the ranger station first. Campsites are well shaded, with central bath house, layout is not big rig friendly. Park is all dirt roads but bike able. Playground/ boardwalk/ canoe launch is a good distance from the camp ground. Nice easy hikes thru the pine flats. We used as a base to explore the greater St. Augustine area....

Long 1.5 miles drive way to the ranger station. Lots of nuts hitting the top of our trailer at night some woke us up. LOL spots wear nice and couldn't see our neighbors very well. Wish they had a better water hose at the dump site. You can't hook up to flush your tank. No turn off value.

Uplands forest will estuary waters. Boat ramp, kayak launch and campground for RV. Kayak launch is nice except the bad parking and long walk to put in. Boat ramp is steep but easier to launch from. Parking again is very limited. Tides are the same at Bings Landing on NOAA. Be careful at low tide.

First time to this park! Clean, well-taken care of. Places to fish, cleaning table if you want to clean the fish while you're there. Bring your picnic lunch or cook your food on grills provided under pavilions. There are about 30 camping spots that I saw. Hiking trail but we didn't get to it while we were there. Will explore more on my next visit.

My absolute FAVORITE place we’ve stayed so far! The kids loved it, we loved it, everything about this place is wonderful. Amazing wildlife, beautiful trails, cozy campsites, friendly rangers, helpful onsite management 24/7. They could use an upgrade to the playground equipment, but I have zero complaints & cannot wait to return!

Pleasantly surprised. All the sites have tons of privacy and electric + water hookups. Since it's primarily an RV site, the showers and bathrooms are all yours! Tent camping is easy here and while you could fit 3 cars, their rules states 2 cars, 2 tents and 8 people max (better bring big tents!).

There are 2 trails and a large picnic plus boat ramp sites. Going for a run from campsite to entrance and back is just over 4 miles. Every site has a fire ring and grill cover but we noticed some sites have a standing grill instead. The electric also has 15A standard plug so you can charge your electronics if you're camping.

Unusually high tick activity in July so spray yourself, wear protective clothing and a hat. Everyone was friendly and its just off the highway but you feel very secluded. You're also just 15m away from St. Augustine Beach.

Privately spaced camp sites. Nice nature trails. Almost 2 miles of muddy dirt road entrance.

A hidden gem. This was our first visit to Faver-Dykes and we spent 3 glorious days camping here. It's right off I95 (literally), so when we first saw the road immediately after exiting the highway, all we could think was "we're going to hear highway noise/ambient light all night!" We couldnt have been more wrong!
The long dirt road winding to Faver-Dykes is like going back in time, nestled in a canopy of Oaks and magnolias. There is no cell reception, so you feel cut off from the real world--a beautiful disconnect from technology!
The camping is at the very end of the dirt road, right after the boat launch. It's a small park, less than 30 sites, but each is perfectly leveled, raked clean with a fire ring, water and electric hookups. The bathhouse is exceptionally nice: looks to be brand new, with showers and toilets. The building itself is well lit with motion sensor lights (so at night the park is pitch black!) and centrally located for all campsites. Near the bathhouse, exiting the campground is the dump station.

The roads are all a sugary sand so expect to sweep your camper out frequently--there is NO escaping the sand. But I will warn you--with the sand comes TICKS,and I mean LOTS OF TICKS!!! Within the first hour of setting up our campsite, we had killed at least 30 crawling on us. I understand its Florida, but nothing prepared me for that! So first thing Saturday morning warrantied a trip to Walmart to load up on extra bug spray and even that didnt deter the little buggers, they were everywhere--even worse than mosquitos! So prepare yourselves and your pets. Wear lots of DEET, do tick checks religiously and be a responsible pet owner and make sure your pet is on an excellent flea/tick/heartworm preventative.
It was so cathartic to just sit and watch the wind move thru the top of the trees during the day, just enjoying the sounds of nature.
As I mentioned before, cell service is absolutely nil, unless you have a wifi booster. Do not expect to get or receive any signal if you have TMobile.

The wildlife we experienced around our campfire nightly was a treat: squirrels, deer, armadillos, raccoons and possums. Like with any animals, be sure to secure coolers, grills and expect visitors if you accidentally leave out any food items. We also heard coyotes.
The boat launch is within walking distance and kayaks and canoes can be rented however be warned, the man camping next to us had an encounter with a friendly 10' gator and that was enough of a deterrent for him not to venture out in his kayak alone again!

The rangers make regular visits thru the park and it's a very quiet campground. We thoroughly enjoyed this Florida gem and we look forward to returning again and again for a battery recharge.
Love Faver-Dykes!

Very clean restrooms, friendly staff and park ranger. Loved walking over to the intercoastal waterway to watch kayakers etc. Restroom there too!

Hidden gem. The park was very nice, sites are clean and secluded. Restrooms and showers were clean. State Park prices are great! FL senior was only $9 with hookup. Would definitely stay again.

If you like to canoe or kyak this is a great park. Keep in mind the tide shifts and your trips can be enjoyable. The park has a fantastic launch setup and return to allow easy entry and take out of your boat.

(Stayed 2/14/22 and am going by my notes)
Our site was perfectly level. A little tight probably for anything bigger than our 25 foot Travel Trailer. It was a very private site on the sides and rear, had neighbors across from us. But that was fine. The campground was actually very quiet.
The cell and over-the-air TV reception, was non existent. I used my hotspot.
There were several well kept hiking trails that were very nice! There is also a fruit stand just down the road from the campground and they also have firewood.
Nearby is a free ferry ride over to Fort Manataza. Book early! There is also a couple of trails by the ferry and the beach across the street. St. Augustine is also close to the park. Our favorite town in Florida.

I like this place. Fairly large lots. very clean restrooms and showers. Rangers not always there but are attending to keeping the park clean and safe. Trails are a pleasure to walk lots to see and hear if you but look & listen. Bring plenty of Off with deet...Skeeters & ticks..but you are in the forest in Florida. They are everywhere but the desert..bring plenty of drinking water. Only potable water available. Even has a dump station on site as you leave!! Is handicapped friendly!! With large concrete pads for easy access with a wheel chair & close to the restroom!! Nice place and very quiet!
