I had called in regards to a late payment on my SUV spoke with Ms Evelyn extremely pleasant well spoke phone voice I told her my son was to handle this matter,,, but didn't,, she then transfer me to Ms Moody. another well spoke lady and once I given my information over the phone she then handle all my question and answer them in a timely matter. These 2 City Representative are highly professional and I would likely say if you have any bout your Taxes or Bills,,etc etc please be sure and ask for them.

Called Newport news office Michelle H. Couldn't be any more helpful went beyond to get me information about cars assessment information that wasn't there by making numerous calls instead of just saying"sorry we don't have that information" wish all employees were like her :)

I had no problems getting ahold of help over the phone. Very polite and helpful when my neighbor accidentally got my bill and it couldn’t be found.

Honestly? Marty Eubanks is a DILF. I’m fine with it. Hope he gets re-elected.

The Newport News Treasurer's Office consistently provides prompt and professional service. I commend their excellence and highly recommend their office.

Customer service is good, friendly. The system needs to be updated. I have been paying on a vehicle for the past 5 years, do it online with a card. I FINALLY got the primary owner removed and just received another personal property bill. Trying to figure out why, I found out the money I was paying went back to the original owner who refused to pay or remove their name. So, likely will not receive this return to be used. Given it was an online transaction, there needs to be methods to track where funds were received and also the ability to refund to that person. Not "leave it up to the two parties".

Customer service is not high on the priority list for their staff.

Normally I say the government is only good at taking money and is very slow at giving it back. This place can't even process my payment. Tried multiple cards online and tried the phone line. Form some reason, operators won't take cards over the phone either. This is after sending me real estate taxes by mistake 2 years in a row. Oh and last year they also put the same vehicle I am having problems with now under a wrong social security number. If I could not pay you, I wouldn't. Not like you seem to fix any of the infrastructure with any urgency.

Had a horrible experience on the phone. Got a notice for a delinquent vehicle license fee, and the person on the phone was super rude and was very condescending. Despite all of that I still said thank you and they just hung up to my face. Whoever it was needs to learn how to talk to customers with respect!

THIS CITY TAXES YOU TO BREATHE! YET AS A TAX PAYING CITIZEN THE CITY TAX REVENUE IS OBVIOUSLY NOT REFLECTED IN INFRASTRUCTURE AND PUBLIC SERVICES! CRIME IS ALSO RAMPANT HERE. TIME TO MOVE!

Taxes, high taxes and more taxes! The Commonwealth taxes the air you breathe! Can not wait to leave this state
