Papou George's Hot Dogs

Frannie was so nice. This was my second time coming here and I’ve felt welcomed both times. Best hot dogs I’ve tasted on both sides of the bridge!

It was my mom's birthday and we were looking for a local place to have breakfast. Our server was sweet and attentive. Food came out quick. My mom ordered the biscuits and gravy, my grandson ordered pancakes and I got the french toast. The bacon and eggs was cooked perfectly. Everything was so good! We will definitely go back for breakfast again! ***Cash Only***

Came to visit for my daughter’s graduation and came Saturday for breakfast and haven’t been since I left Virginia! Food is still awesome and great and nothing has changed

Great spot! Staff is very down to earth and seems to have a good work relationship with each other. After reading a few reviews prior... I do agree that the Greek sausage is the star of the show for breakfast. I will return again for their lunch menu. Inexpensive and I left full. Will return!

Came into the restaurant and was greeted with a hug and a handshake from the owner definitely different the workers are very knowledgeable and to tht point.
These two meals came up to 16.89 definitely reasonably pricedwould have paid more anywhere else and would not have mind to pay more for the experience and the quality that was presented to me in this establishment.

Absolutely delicious food, amazing service, oldies dinner vibe and great prices. Would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone in the area looking for a great breakfast spot!

I've been coming in since I was a little boy. Mr Steve and the fam are super down to earth, and genuinely loving people. One of the few mom and pops we have left, a locals fav. This place has something, first watch and all those others don't. History. It's simple and it's one of the few all Americans left. ✌👌🤙

Good breakfast, Got biscuit and gravy with eggs, potatoes, Greek sausage. Not bad. The star was the potatoes. Gravy too thin.

Felt right at home! Cash Only BUT there is an ATM in the back. So don’t let that turn you away!

Also, have you ever had a soda that just tasted better than anywhere?! They have the best coke around.

I have lived in the area for 2 years and still trying to find places to eat near Oyster Point, I always drive to Hampton for known favorites. Papou George’s is a hidden gem. It reminds me of Tommy’s and Vancosta’s both are nice Greek restaurants to eat in or grab and go. I have gone several times now and the food is awesome and reasonable, CASH only. Our family loves the nice size Texas French Toast, pancakes, scrambled and fried eggs, bacon, sausage links, corn beef hash and potatoes with onions. This place alone made me consider not moving back closer to Hampton. It takes a lot to impress me and I would say they are An A+ in my book!!!

Simple, quick, & delicious! Greek sausage has a kick so, just be aware. No hot sauce required! Got the biscuits & gravy & hotcake special. Coffee could use a tune up as it was on the lighter side.

Always have a great meal there. Since the new owners took over am pleased that is still a great place to eat always an enjoyable meal and atmosphere. Highly recommend.

Nice place to have breakfast and chat with friends. The french toast and greek sausage are both very tasty.

Breakfast was really good, it tasted homemade. I ordered takeout, the man on the phone was nice, I asked about the Greek sausage, and he explained that it was made from beef which is great for non pork eaters. They accept cash only which I think gives a nice traditional feel. My new breakfast spot!

French toast like ya mama used to make, friendly owner, amazing priced foods and may be best local hot dogs around. It is cash only so do bring cash with ya. Would definitely come back for more of that soft and eggy french toast alone!

Everything is good. Should be on triple d. Colossal burger has burger and pastrami. Potato chips are made to order.

Great food great service they also had blueberry pancakes and they weren't crowded better than any other places like that 😉 update: Ive tried some more of their menu items and the sandwiches are amazing also the atmosphere reminds me of some other diners I've seen one con though its cash only so just go to your bank before unless you don't mind the upcharge on the ATM

Visiting from out of town for family weekend at CNU. We chose to eat here due to having no wait like other places had for brunch that day. I'm glad we did. 3 of us ate for less than $30. Although they were fairly busy, Stephanie was an attentive server and the food was delicious - we had omelettes, pancakes, grits, etc. Cash only was not a problem and it is clearly marked on the front of the restaurant. We hope to try lunch on a future visit to town!

I know prices have gone up everywhere but for the quality of the food and the folks who work there…..it is a MUST EAT THERE place. Highly Recommend. Had a sausage, egg, cheese Biscuit to start the day and now I want another. Keep up the great work. Will be back often.

My all time favorite breakfast spot, the food is soo good! They are always quick and friendly too!
