Green Door on 8th

I wish I took more pictures but people started eating so quickly. I can't say enough wonderful things about our experience. The food was INCREDIBLE. The chef is inspired. We had the Venison, Sea Bass, NY Strip Steak, Catfish, Pork, fried green tomatoes, and fried smoked gouda with pork belly....oh and I also had a huge chocolate chip cookie that was to die for. Seriously, the food was so good! The service was excellent. Our waitress took such good care of us. We will definitely be back!

Fried green tomatoes and fried gouda appetizers were excellent. Sandwiches, fries, homemade chips and bread pudding all awesome! Service was very good. We definitely recommend.

Wow, this place was surprisingly delicious! We ordered biscuits and gravy, jambalaya, traditional eggs benedict, chicken and waffles, and jambalaya. Everything was hot and delicious, service was good, and has a nice historic atmosphere.

Green Door offers great service! They offer delicious food. 😋 This place is supposed to be haunted. 👻 👽 The servers are very friendly and will tell you all about it. They offer outdoor dining, too. The ambiance is cozy. We love the headboards attached to the walls. The music is soft and delightful. Our food was cooked fast and was made with high-quality ingredients. This restaurant is a bit pricey for lunnch but we did enjoy our meals.

Overall we had a good experience. We were told it was a 30 minute wait inside or immediate seating outside. We chose outside which was perfect based on the good weather. Red sangria was great and so was the shrimp and grits. Host was very helpful and honest with her recommendations

Super nice dinner! Not the first time, we ate at Green Door but first time for Dinner and we were not disappointed at all.
Bone marrow and shrimp starters were great,
Jambalaya and pork tenderloin entrées were great.
Great Chef, friendly service, fair prices.
Def. worth a mini road trip to dade city and not the last time we visited that place.

We were walking around downtown Dade City a couple months ago, and spotted The Green Door. We decided we had to give it a try someday. When I was trying to decide where to go for the wife's birthday, I remembered this place. Am I ever glad I did!
The staff was EXTREMELY friendly, the restaurant is in a cool old building, and has a nice, relaxed feel. But most of all . The food was OUTSTANDING
Saw Fried Green Tomatoes on the menu as a starter, and there's no way I was going to pass those up! They really set the bar as what to expect for the main course! I had to give the Andouille Shrimp & Grits a try... I was not disappointed! They just may be my new favorite. The Mrs. Decided on the glazed Salmon with Brussels Sprouts and mashed potatoes. This dish was cooked perfectly, the glaze was very tasty and the sprouts were not overcooked. The portions were generous and the prices quite fair.
I do have one suggestion... Please, include a bread with dinner... Especially with something like the Shrimp & Grits so I could get every last drop of sauce. (My wife wouldn't let me lick the plate !! 😂🤣)

I once again had the most amazing meal at Green Door on 8th in Dade City. The Chef is top notch, and their Cajun Cuisine is literally to die for. Being a Louisiana native, I'm quite particular on my Gumbo, Crawfish Etoufe and Shrimp Po-Boy, but these all blew the test out of the water. Some of the finest eats in all of Tampa Bay. Worth the drive, For Sure!

Green Door on 8th is so cute! We were first in the door at open on a Saturday but it filled up quick! Started off with the spinach artichoke dip that is delicious and big enough for two or three, then got margaritas and mules both were great! The main course for me the goat cheese flatbread which was delicious. The service was phenomenal and atmosphere wonderful and unique. Want to go back for brunch and dinner!

We went for my husband's birthday and I had the salmon which was nicely cooked and tasty. My son had the wood-fired chicken and he said the chicken melted in your mouth.

What a gem in Dade City! The atmosphere for lunch was very nice. Staff was attentive and gave us menu ideas. We had the fried green tomatoes and homemade chips and blue cheese for appetizers- delicious. For our main courses we had shrimp & grits, chicken capers sandwich and the chicken salad wrap. Everyone loved their dishes, very flavorful. Dessert was a strawberry pistachio cake that was so good I wish I hadn’t bought the whole cake!!! I don’t think you could go wrong with anything on this menu- already looking forward to another visit.

I met my friend here for lunch for her birthday on a Saturday.
Our server, Alex, took great care of us and offered wonderful suggestions
I had a huge, beautiful piece of perfectly cooked medium salmon on top of a Caesar salad with an outstanding Caesar dressing. My friend enjoyed the Go Green Turkey Stack with homemade potato chips.
We shared the artichoke spinach dip that was out of this world yummy with chewy bread - just yummy yummy yummy!
I had a social D Old fashioned and a “server suggested” fantastic gray whale gimlet.
We finished with a piece of chocolate cake (Will pass on this next time) and a good cookie.
Overall it was a great time with great service, great food and a good atmosphere.
Love the decor with antique headboards.
As a bonus it has a cute shop next door for browsing after lunch.

$98 and a healthy tip.

Atmosphere was beautiful. Staff was fast and efficient. Food came out perfect and was delicious! Reminds me of being back in New Orleans with all the delicious Cajun food. Prices are super cheap but restaurant feels very upscale and is located in historic downtown Dade City. Would highly recommend to anyone!

Food was great (smoked gouda, gumbo and jumbalaya), Haylee was fun and knew her stuff. Cleaned my plate and waddled home. Will be back.

We very much enjoyed our food, the glazed salmon, and meat loaf were excellent. We went on a Friday evening so the place was crowded and extremely noisy! I'm not sure if there is anything they could do with the acoustics, but we chose to eat outside, which was somewhat better. We would love to go back but inorder to preserve our hearing, we will try for a slow time.
A Gluten-free menu would be nice! No one seemed to know for sure what was Gluten-free!

This is a really nice Restaurant! It’s Cozy and Relaxing, good Coffee and Really good Food. I had the fried Green Tomatoes, and poached eggs, with Home-fries, The Atmosphere is really Easy going. If you are In The Dade City area you should check this place out!

The food & drinks were absolutely delicious! I went here by myself & felt welcomed the second I walked in. I had the shrimp & grits which were amazing. The flavor was rich & spiced just right! Their specialty cocktails were just as tasty. Finish your dinner with the chocolate Reese’s cookie. It’s definitely worth saving room for.
All of the servers & hostess were so friendly & accommodating especially Meggan! I will def be back with my husband & family.

Don’t hesitate. This place is fantastic. Hidden gem. You most likely will need reservations. We got in on a Friday night, but they went out of their way to fit us in. Meatloaf was the best I’ve had. Catfish, gumbo and bread pudding were all SO good as well. We are from AZ and this was the best food we’ve had so far in FL.

5 stars. However, read review. We had the burger, crawfish étouffée and gouda. They could have 2 or more burgers on the menu with slightly different ingredients. The burger was pretty basic. The drinks were good and the server Amanda super nice. The étouffée was satiating. Not too many items on the menu to keep me wanting coming back to explore more, but what we had was good and might come back to try 1 or 2 other things.
