Nonna Maria Restaurant

I go down to Florida every year with family. My dad discovered Nonna Maria a few years ago, and since then, I've kept it on my list of restaurants that must be visited on the annual trip.

Nonna Maria is not very big inside - there's a very intimate atmosphere. Yet it's not like some small places, where you might feel a bit too cosy with your fellow patrons. There is the hum of conversation and low music. The various wait staff are very attentive; this definitely isn't the sort of establishment where you'll be left needing anything.

On my last visit, I had eggplant parmesan, a green salad, pommes frites, and creme brulee for dessert. All were excellent. My grandmother was particularly impressed with how they boxed our food to take home. She is very concerned with cleanliness, tidyness, etc., so she loved that the boxes were wrapped in plastic wrap. I also thought this was a good idea given how many items on the menu had sauces, including my eggplant parmesan.

I loved everything about this place! It was perfect for a great meal - quality, price, and portion. The vibe is upscale, we came in casual, and they didn’t treat us any differently. The service is thoughtful and the owners are on site. This is truly a gem. Palm Beach Island-worthy without the pretentiousness, high price and mediocre meals. I just wish the outdoor seating was a little more romantic/vibey. Thank you for having us! Looking forward to our return.

I loved this restaurant so much! Everything was delicious!! I had the eggplant Parmesan. It was one of the best I ever had. The onion soup was my favorite. It was made with a chicken stock, which was unique. I absolutely loved it. After dinner they brought a coconut macaroon. I was impressed with the service and enjoyed talking to the beautiful owner, Judy. I will definitely be back and recommend to friends. Haha. Came back sooner than expected, as Judy called to say my husband forgot his credit card. So thankful she called within minutes of leaving. Don’t miss this quaint restaurant that won’t disappoint!

We went for the 1st time on our 50th anniversary on a recommendation. We were 6 people and had 4 different dinners and I have to say from appetizers to dinner to dessert it was a grand slam. I’m going back again before we leave and again when ever we are here. I give the food the chef the owner and wait staff a 10. Do not hesitate to wait a week or 2 for a reservation. Excellent as always. They made their special scampi de Angelo for me. Delicious. The owners are amazing. I highly recommend them.

We have been going to restaurant for over ten years. They are a husband and wife team. Judi takes care of reservations (plus many other jobs owning a restaurant) and walks around to make sure you are enjoying the food. Francois is the chef (who is from France) who also comes out to make sure your dining experience is what you want it to be.

The food is called French with an Italian twist. It is all delicious and freshly cooked. The food never changes because the chef is always in the kitchen making sure everything is done right.

They have a pre-fix dinner menu which includes appetizer, main course, and desert for one price. But you can order a main course only because you will find that the portions are generous and still maintain quality. It may vary a small amount if you choose something like fresh oysters as your appetizer but it so worth it. This has been our very favorite restaurant in Palm Beach County and when we have friends visiting from Europe this is the favorite place they request to have dinner.

We can't say enough about this restaurant for consistency and Judi and Francois are as nice as they are making sure everything is prepared well for their clients. This is a small restaurant and they have added outside dining but you will need a reservation as they are very busy especially during season in Florida.

This is our Favorite Restaurant in West Palm Beach. The owners, Judy, the host, is such a pleasure to deal with, while Francois, the chef, has combined the Italian and French cuisines in a unique and wonderful manner. Service has always been attentive and pleasant. White tablecloth service, fine selection of wines and consistent tasty entries makes this Restaurant a must visit. Prices are very reasonable and the memory of a fun evening out is worth the fare...

Our meals were even better. The menu was not extensive, allowing for perfection in each individually prepared offering. Can't wait for my next visit. Much better than wherever you normally dine.

This was our first visit, and the entire staff wowed us. Caprice R. Was our server and nothing ruffled her feathers. I asked for a few changes to my meal that were not on the menu, she just went and made sure the chef could do so. The quality of the food was tender and full of flavor. The dishes were served with culinary flair. Thank you from chef to our servers.

This has quickly become a staple for quality Italian food for us. It’s an amazing fusion of French and Italian. The place is nothing but regulars so make sure you make a reservation. It’s a local Family owned restaurant that has been around for decades. You can’t beat the deal on the pre fixe menu. My favorite is the short rib over risotto with a burrata and fried prosciutto, my husband loves the veal. Next week I’m trying the duck. There is nothing you will eat here that you won’t like, I can almost guarantee it! Service is superb, hopefully you will be lucky and Felipe will wait on you. Food is great, staff is attentive, and you can wear shorts or a suit and tie. PS: homemade desserts, yum

Went on a date with my wife and it was fantastic! You can tell that chef wants people to eat well! Set menu was amazing! It is actually the real menu not some off menu thing.

We drove by this restaurant for 4 months on the way to the doctors office everyday when I had an issue with my leg. I told my wife that I would take her when my health came back... well, I got healthy again and took her on a nice date. great staff all work as a team! -Thank you all!

First time at restaurant. We loved it. It was our 38th wedding anniversary and they put balloons and little hearts at our table. Order escargot, duck, shrimp and banana split sundae . We will definitely be back. We enjoyed the outside area so we felt safe

This is one of the Best restaurants in all Florida. Perry Como's and my favorite.
They took the down time to remodel their kitchen and have an outdoor space now as well.
Take out is just as good. Homemade bread and complimentary macaroons that finish off a memorable meal.

We can’t say enough about this experience. The French onion soup, the Carbonara, and the short rib were all champions. We eat a lot of Italian food, and this was the best carbonara we’ve ever had. Stellar service, clean, and very inexpensive considering what you get. Good job.

A special restaurant. One of the few in this area to actually have a chef. And chef, along with his partner Judy who manages the front of the house, turn eating into DINING. The entire staff functions like an orchestra, never missing a note. The result: an evening to remember with superb food, wine and extremely delicious desserts. Affordable in a quiet and sophisticated atmosphere. Maybe we shouldn't tell the world - Nonna Maria isn't very big after all.

This is by far and away the best restaurant in Florida for consistently excellent food. I have been coming here with my family for over 6 years and we have never had a bad meal. The ownership is incredible, the food is incredible, the service is incredible.
