Clasico Italian Chophouse

We ventured out of Siesta Key and had a really great experience all around at this restaurant. The outside patio is beautiful, and dog friendly with our pup. The food itself was all great- from the chicken parm with homemade pasta, to some of the best short ribs my wife has ever had.

The service was friendly, and we ended our night meeting one of the waitresses named Carla and bonded over our love for our dogs. She even gifted my wife her necklace which was very sweet - something she will keep and always remember as a very special memory, thank you!

Definitely recommend this place and looking forward to stopping by on our next trip.

We stopped by for a quick lunch today. Everything was spot on!! The bruschetta was some of the most flavorful even in comparison with our Italy. I had the chicken sandwich and wife had the sweet potato vegetable bowl. Wood grilled chicken wad flavorful and juicy! The ONLY minus (in atmosphere) was that booth material (all worn and starting to tatter) had seen better days. All in all, great spot! I’ll be returning!

We visited this place for our little date night and it was such a good time. The food was tasty and the atmosphere with the live music definitely hit the spot. I would recommend the meatballs for starters, I enjoyed the strawberry mule to drink. Very refreshing! The seared tuna was delicious and well seasoned. And to top it all off we had the best waiter, he was so patient and very helpful with his suggestions. We will definitely be back for more 😍

It was my birthday dinner - mid December. I ordered the Gorgonzola stuffed gnocchi with Sirloin Tips. I have a garlic intolerance and the chefs were able to accommodate me by changing up the dish a bit! My friend had the boneless short ribs. Salad was excellent as well, I was even treated to a Birthday dessert! - Chocolate cake! EXCELLENT! Our server was knowledgable and attentive. I think his name was Fred!

We absolutely loved our experience at Clasico Italian Chophouse. I specifically was hesitant to order the Kale salad as it’s always a risk for me to stray from the classics I know that I love, and I can be an extremely picky eater. Our waiter said it was a good choice and I was excited to try. When it came, it was larger than I expected and absolutely delicious. It was packed with flavor, and the blackened chicken I added was an essential bonus. If I’m ever back in Sarasota I’ll definitely be coming back here for this dish. My husband enjoyed his chicken sandwich as well, and was surprised at how much I verbalized loving the salad.

We loved everything about our dinner tonight. Susan gave us incredible service.. 5 star in every way (flawless service) and the food was also great. The kitchen was extremely accommodating with dietary requests. We loved our experience here and will be back soon! Highly recommend!

Main Question:
Is the food worth the price?
Answer: Yes, it was delicious. Well worth the higher price of the food.

Food:
The food was absolutely delicious. Simply look at the images of the food and it was just as delicious as it appears. I had a custom salad and my son had the Osso Bucco. The mashed potatoes, the meat, and the carrots were delectable. They made me a salad that wasn't on the menu to accommodate a special diet.

Atmosphere:
While we were there, it was very loud but they did accommodate us by putting us all the way in the back and I was very happy about that. It was still very loud and difficult to talk to the person right across the table from me. So the atmosphere is going to get a little knock down because of that. If it was a little less loud it would be better.

Cleanliness:
99% of everything was as clean. I will have to knock the cleanliness down on the bathroom although it was after 10:00 p.m. the bathroom could have been a little more clean but the tables were clean, the chairs were clean and I was extremely happy with the cleanliness is overall.

Service:
Dalton was our server. If you visit this restaurant, ensure to ask for him. He was fantastic. However, he did make a couple of mistakes on our meal. There was supposed to be red onions on the salad and there was not. There was also supposed to be banana peppers on the salad and he had them put pepperoncinis on the salad. That didn't make the salad any less delicious, because it was. It did make it much spicier than I had intended it.

Price:
The price was $88 for two people to eat here including the tip. For the food that was served, this was not expensive.

Recommended:
I would most certainly recommend this restaurant. It is a fantastic place to eat and I will be back. I thank them for accommodating our special requests.

Food & service was amazing! My husband had chicken parm & I had the pesto. Probably the best pesto dish I have ever had & being Italian I am always weary to eat at an Italian restaurant. Andrei was our server and he was excellent! He was really hustling too didn’t see him stop once. Definitely will be back next time we’re in Sarasota.

Rediscovered this treasure of a restaurant in downtown Sarasota. We came on Sunday morning at 11AM for brunch. I started with the Lox Crostini small plate. The chopped egg, red onion, dill, everything bagel spice and whipped cream goat cheese was a perfect blend of flavors to compliment the smoked salmon. I highly recommend this to start and it comes on two pieces of ciabatta bread if you want to share (I did not, lol). For a main I had the Italian Biscuits & Gravy which was unbelievably delicious. Perhaps a smidge over indulgent, but f@#$ it I'm having a two course breakfast so I'm past caring about that. My friend had the Steak & Egg Tacos which clearly looked amazing. Overall I was highly impressed and will certainly be back. Other observations... Bar area looked more than accommodating if you want to come for just drinks. Plenty of outdoor seating. Very nice booths for a double date or groups. Sabrina the waitress did an excellent job. Especially in accommodating a barrage of drink orders. Also got to meet the owner who was friendly.

ANDREI!! He greeted us with such excitement even though we walked in on him before closing lol! He was very attentive and thorough. The food was amazing!!!! The drinks were just right and everything was worth the price . Beautiful atmosphere !!

9/10 the food was bomb, pizza and pasta so so good. The only reason it doesn’t get a 10 is, because I am a espresso martini girl and it just wasn’t it.
I’ll be returning for sure!

Very impressed to say the least. I came here with my dad and brother for dinner for my birthday, Andrei was our server and he did an amazing job. He was attentive to the table, met all of our needs and went above and beyond. Food was amazing, and I got a free dessert for my birthday! Also such a beautiful aesthetic place.

Clasico is one of my absolute favorite spots in downtown Sarasota!! The food is fantastic - clearly made with high quality, fresh ingredients and the staff is an absolute pleasure. Not to mention, the ambiance is like nothing else you'll find in the area.

Hunter is always an outstanding server (I ask for him every time) and I adore the manager, Josh, who is always attentive to his patrons throughout their time at his restaurant. Do yourself a favor and enjoy a meal at Clasico! ✨🤌🏻

Everything here was great. I have been to a "fancy" restaurant here in Sarasota yet, and this was my first one. I got the Strawberry Mule and it was fantastic, one of my favorite alcoholic beverages ever. The burger was one of the best I've ever had. And then the Donuts were on another level. It was a great place and worth the price of everything. Definitely want to come back here at some point

Had a great experience not once but twice. Andrei and Grace were both attentive and sweet while they served us. Would go back for the Burrata salad and Tuscan Salmon again !!

Andrei !!! Was our server and I can’t say what excellent service this young man provides. Every time I come back here I will ask for him. Now to the food what flavor and the portions were amazing, I honestly thought that by the location we were going to pay a fortune, but honestly this place is very affordable and very delicious.
