Sarasota Bradenton International Airport

Very small, yet beautiful airport. Love that it is smaller and very clean with a friendly staff!! The aquarium and waterfall is a very lovely touch!

Very old hotel but I would stay there again the bed I’d comfortable and the sheets and room were clean. There’s a breakfast package which is the same price without the package. The balcony view is gorgeous which you will share with the room next to yours if you don’t mind that. The complimentary water is a nice touch. The staffs are very friendly. There’s also a shuttle to take you to and from the restaurants 5 minutes away from the hotel. There’s also umbrellas and chairs set up for you on the beach 🏝 Can’t wait to visit again.

I love this airport and give it 5 stars for its size, nothing better than flying in, or out of a small airport like SRQ, never a wait at security and you're literally at your gate within 10 minutes, or getting your ride within the same. Food options are limited, there are 2 bars I believe, and they're small, plus a Jimmy John's (very limited seating) and while I like JJs when in a rush, I'd prefer to see something like a Jersey Mike's that offers more options. SRQ has both short and long term parking ($16/$24 per day respectively) I've not used that, however if you do need to park, I parked at the Hilton Garden Inn (you can book this online for $7 or so per day through "OnAirParking") and they offer a shuttle (from 7AM-11PM only) it worked nicely for me. Also, tip: Dewar's (before security) serves tasty drinks and food food at fair prices (especially for being at the airport) AND the service is (usually) great and fast, this is usually my stop since I know I can get through TSA swiftly. There is TSA pre check, but no clear, not that you really need either here, safe travels‼✌🏽
Another tip: if you're flying out and maybe need to return a rental, you can stop at wawa since you likely need to gas up AND pick up any of their hot/ cold sandwiches or bowls to go, if in a rush my personal favorite option, you can even order through the app and they'll bring it to your car (no I don't work for wawa, nor get paid for this, but I'm keeping it real 😉)

It's a very easy no hassle airport. Checkpoints and security were all professional and efficient. There were a decent amount of places to eat at. Finding a place to charge a cell phone was tricky. They could definitely use more

Small and friendly airport! Super easy to navigate with clean bathrooms. This airport has some of the most amiable TSA Agents I've ever seen and helpful airline customer service employees. The waterfall/water feature makes the entire airport smell wonderful, and I loved seeing the Mote Marine Laboratory's saltwater aquarium too. Plus, their manatee sculpture and tribute to Snooty was informative and touching.

Best airport ever. It’s not big and you don’t have to walk for ever to get to your gate. Rental cars are right outside the door which is perfect. If you are staying in the area of the airport I would recommend flying here. Even if it costs a bit more.

Love this airport! Clean, easy to find your way around, fast security gates, covered parking, and friendly and helpful employees. Way better than the stress of Tampa Airport.

It is a nice small airport and can't get lost the people that work there are nice. Security is quick and easy to get through.

Awesome airport, clean, nice staff, and beautiful waterfalls, aquarium, and other nature features. Fly here for sure, you will not regret it. They have so many good shops with overall tolerable prices, (compared to other airports) and it's worthwhile.

Easy to navigate airport. The gates and restrooms are clean. Several good options in terminal B. United staff are so nice and friendly even when there are crowds and delays that are always helpful and go out of their way to be positive and helpful.

This is thee best airport to fly into if you’re flying into Sarasota - Bradenton. In October of 2022, I flew into Southwest Florida via Tampa International, rented a car and drove south to Sarasota. The traffic was bumper to bumper and I didn’t know the roadways well enough to navigate my travel w/ease. Upon my return to the airport, I lost a day of tourist sightseeing because I had to drive north to Tampa to return the vehicle and secure a hotel room at the airport. I vowed never to fly into Tampa again. The traffic was a virtual moving sidewalk: congestion made for a tedious commute.

I was encouraged to fly in SRQ(Sarasota-Bradenton) upon my next visit(May 2023)to the state. Well I followed that advice and it was the best choice.

SRQ, I assumed, would be a tiny airport, lacking good conveniences, but I was willing to take that gamble as to not have to travel into Tampa, with massive traffic delays.

To my delight, SRQ is one of the more, larger-smaller airports that I’ve ever flown into. As a matter of fact, it has all the convenience of the larger airports across the country.

Not only is it attractive, it’s easy to navigate. The staff was uber friendly and welcoming. The rental car area was a charm, as was getting to the rental car.

This airport is undergoing a huge expansion w/major constructions, yet there was no hinderances or delays at all.

The airport is clean: gates, restrooms and eateries. It does not feel like a small airport nor does it feel like an overly compact mid-to-large airport. I was pleasantly shock by this airport’s look and convenience.

Upon leaving to fly home, check in was extremely easy, TSA was thorough and easy as well. I like that the agents were customer friendly and had great sense of humor. It’s was as easy as blinking your eyes.

My two hour wait at my gate was comfortable. The seating was adequately spaced. The airport is modern and feels so. Newspapers, coffee, food and restrooms were right at my immediate disposal.

I’ll reiterate again, SRQ, is not a shotty, unkept airport at all. It feels and looks like a large airport that’s extremely easy to navigate.

The airport entry is beautiful, with lush landscapes, as is it’s grounds. Signage is well place, crisp, well displayed and easy to read: you won’t have any difficulties viewing its signs and accessing its roadways, on the airport’s ground.

I’ll travel this airport again. I paid more to fly into SRQ, verses Tampa International, but it was well worth it, plus I didn’t loose a day of sightseeing the Sarasota-Bradenton region.

Let me close by saying every staff encounter had was a breathe of fresh air! The ppl servicing this airport are some of the overall best that I’ve ever encountered.

On a personal note: it was while awaiting my flight home at SRQ, I heard the sad news of Tina Turner passing. I’ll always remember that I was sitting in SRQ the day that the iconic rocker, Tina Turner passed away.

I’ve reached out to Google support via emails for days now. My experience with/at SRQ was superlative and excellent one and my photos added to the review for others to see. This was our 1st time as a family of 6 flying out of Sarasota Bradenton International Airport and it was a great experience!! The drive from Ana Maria Island to the airport was very easy with minimal traffic and going through TSA was thorough yet fast. The United ticket agents and TSA agents were so friendly and helped make with our little ones a little less stressful. This airport was not very crowded and very easy to navigate.

The facilities were clean and well maintained. We usually fly out of Orlando and drive to Ana Maria island but I know next time we travel to Ana Maria Island we will definitely fly into Sarasota.

Beautiful airport. Very clean and organized. Car rental on site is fast and efficient. The lobby/waiting area to board your flight is comfortable.

Always a wonderful experience flying out and into SRQ. Efficient and nearly effortless. Parking of privately owned vehicles can be challenging so plan accordingly. E- chargers available for short term parking is a plus!

Very well maintained airport. No trash, clean bathrooms. It is a smaller airport so there isn't the usual rush that comes with bigger ones. Friendly staff and it has your usual shops, stores and restaurants.
