Mabry House

Went for my moms birthday. Old school but very nice. The service was perfect friendly and informative. The food had some misses—dressing too sweet duck too much black pepper but overall everything was fresh and tasty and the chef I’d definitely trying which I appreciate.

Mabry House is the gem of Shreveport Louisiana. Would certainly dine here again. Five star dishes with excellent service. Highly enjoyed the veal Oscar and Caesar salad. Macadamia crusted mahi-mahi was superb as well.

We were celebrating our 35th Anniversary. This was definitely the place for a special occasion. The atmosphere was romantic. The food was amazing. I tried my wife’s Snapper and crab. Wow! Everything was great and we finished the meal with their family’s bread pudding and coffee. We just can’t say enough about this great find. If you haven’t tried them I highly recommend, they won’t disappoint.

I found this jewel by happenstance for my and my wife’s 12th anniversary and I would highly recommend this establishment to any and all of my friends.

Let’s start with atmosphere
You walk in to an older historic home and are warmly greeted by the host and waiter. Who quickly take us to a table where the waiter lights a candle for you and sits you down. Where he quickly recites the specials for the night.
We tried the quail over sweet potato pancakes. Very well prepared and tasted great
Then my wife had a grill romaine salad which was great and very flavorful.
Entree was for both of us red snapper with ceab meat. I will have to say that it was the best food I have ever ate and my wife agrees
For dessert we decided on bread pudding with jack Daniel’s sauce. Not a thing to complain about

This was by far one of the best restaurant experiences of our lives.

The food was fantastic. A restaurant in an old house was a great atmosphere, like several restaurants in Charleston and Savannah. I was impressed that the server knew everything about the menu and specials, without pausing or looking up anything!

One of the best kept secrets in Shreveport. If you are in town this restaurant has to me on your dinner to do list. Just make sure you make your reservations in advance. Where do I start you are treated as royalty as soon as you walk in the door. The appetizers were perfectly prepared. The main course were all seasoned and cooked to perfection. All of our plates were completely devoured. The wine was a perfect complement to our meal. Five 🌟

The place may look small and cozy from the outside, but make no mistake, this restaurant can house a lot of people. They get very busy during weekends and for good reason. The food is delicious and the servers are simply impeccable. They have the daily specials memorized without a hiccup and try hard to make your experience as memorable as possible. We went for our anniversary and it did not disappoint. Would definitely go back again.

Exquisite food and a wonderful experience. Mabry house never disappoints!! The wait staff and owners treat you more like family than customers. The food is always divine. Whenever we leave, the first question is “when are we coming back?”

We sat at the chefs table in the kitchen and the experience was amazing. The food was delicious. I highly recommend trying Mabry house. We will definitely be going back soon.

Attended my wife's Christmas dinner here it was a fantastic experience .Food was top notch our server was excellent dealing with 12 people he didn't miss a beat ! Altogether it is well worth a visit highly recommend

Love restaurants in old houses. They allow you plenty of time for you to settle in. Waitress explained everything. All answers were great. She did not skip a beat. Food of course was good. They go out of their way to do special request if they have the stuff. No rushing you. When you are done you are taken care of and your next dish is not thrown at your table. On top of that she was training someone. Also like that they have a chef's table.

There isn't much like the mabry house. It's 100% worth going for. Highly recommended you call for a reservation. He will pay between $35 to $70 a meal.

It's probably one of the better anniversary places in Shreveport. This is not a place that actively tries to overbook the restaurant. They execute a flawless and controlled dinner every evening.

The nut covered fishes are highly recommended when they have them available. The pecan crusted chicken and shrimp is excellent as well. The presentation is excellent.

Small wheat rolls are offered as a complimentary appetizer. A palate-cleansing sorbet scoop is offered before the meal. The desserts are small but very artistic and tasty.

Overall I highly recommend any couple visiting. You'll enjoy the charm and the food.

Consistently exceptional fine dining. Order whatever you like, you won't be disappointed. We love the specials. This was scallops and quail for appetizers and filet mignon and duck mains.

The service was a tad slower than I would have liked at such an amazing restaurant, but it was St. Valentine’s Day, following Fat Tuesday and that MAY have been to be expected.
Our server was knowledgeable and friendly and the other two servers that worked the same room were over-the-top good at handling their tables needs as well as any extra in the room.
The shrimp tamale was something special. The varnished Peking Duck was beyond fabulous. The salads were well-portioned, excellent, and fresh.
The hands-down star though, were the desserts. Her bread pudding, though simple and plain was so well executed and plated, it could bring tears. My puff pastry purse of blueberries and almonds was a revelation of textures, contrasts, flavors and freshness.
I would eat there again tonight, were I well-heeled enough to make it a regular dining spot.

Mabry House is definitely a MUST. It is by far our favorite restaurant. The experience is overall unmatched for fabulous food and service.

If I could give it 10/5 stars I would. Argentine Ribeye and salmon were phenomenal. Apple Tart was phenomenal.

I took a my son for his birthday. Everything was astonishing!!!! We loved it!! So nice to have an amazing place like this in Shreveport.

Quite possibly the best restaurant meal I have ever had! Wonderful atmosphere. I had the sea bass, which was excellent and prepared with tasty garnishings.

I loved the waiter. He looked like Harry Potter and he was so funny. The wine was so good and so was the food. It was a little on the pricy side but honestly totally worth it. I enjoyed my time there. Will definitely be coming back

My favorite thing was an appetizer called the Crawfish cheesecake. It was simply amazing!
