San Jose Mexican Restaurant

We stopped by to have lunch yesterday (2ish) and they were not busy, however I felt we waited longer than we should have for just 2 people to eat off the lunch menu. Food was hot and good. Chips not to my liking as they seemed stale. Drinks were fine. We were offered a sample pumpkin margherita that was really good. I’d try it again but not with a meal. Overall, give them a try! They do charge a $3 fee for credit card charges now.

We had my daughter’s baby shower catered for 30 people and it was amazing! My husband picked up the food and it was plenty of food for possible 60 people. It was so much more food than I expected and it was delicious. We had tacos and a nacho bar and chips, Queso dip and salsa. Everyone raved about the food. San Jose was excellent 🥰❤! Really cute place with really great Mexican food. Outdoor seating when the weather allows. Their chorizo is one of the best I’ve ever had. There’s a photo here of their chorizo and cheese dip appetizer. Was amazing. Loved the margarita!

The service was great and the food hit the spot. So good and seemed pretty authentic. The waitress even helped me with my Spanish. I loved it there

The foos was pretty good, wish the frozen margarita was stronger but the second regular Strawberry margarita was better so 5 stars all around. If you want something thats fulfilling come to this spot.

My honey and I went here In 2013 for our fist date…so happy memories. Fast forward to 3/4/2022 we decided to return and had a delightful night and a full belly. Service is quick, polite and food is good. I don’t do Spicy so this is right up my alley with selection. It does get a little loud especially on a busy Saturday night. Chips are perfect-light, crisp and perfectly salted. The table salsa is awesome and makes you want more. Don’t fill up on the chips because your meal will hit the spot for whatever Mexican craving you have.

The food is very good. We have never had a bad dish here. The atmosphere can be very noisy inside. The patio is not awful, but it is basically in the parking lot. However, the service from the staff and the food make it our favorite go to spot for casual mexican.

Excellent food. Outstanding service. Creme Fried Tacos were tasty. The server was extra attentive with chips and salsa. Great for kids.

Drinks are huge, great customer service, chips and salsa-delicious. I can't attest to the rest of the food, but I'd definitely go again.

My favorite Mexican restaurant in St.louis!! My first stop after getting my braces off to celebrate with some delicious nachos! Definitely amazing staff, I go so much they always know my order before I even order my drink lol. Just goes to show they have quality customer service! Very accommodating to food allergies & special diet restrictions. Family friendly, FAST service, & very clean!! Also best salsa & chips around!

Everything was good. Atmosphere, appetizer, food. Salsa was great. I wish it weren't so far from town, but I'll be back.

We enjoyed our meal outside on a gorgeous Friday night. We could tell they were getting bombarded, but they were honest about being short staffed and our waiter took great care of us. Short wait. Enjoyed it!

I walked in and the restaurant had so many colorful decorations. The environment was open and welcoming. I really liked the spicy homemade salsa! I ordered the Camarones and Scallops under Specials. It was so delicious! I almost cried because I was so happy (not exaggerating- I love food!) The waitress even recommended food to try for when I come back.
