Grandma's Cookies

Not usually a cookie guy and I was very happy with their chocolate chip cookies (which is about the only cookie type I eat). They make them with an ice cream scoop which sort of adds to the experience. Highly recommend.

The shop is setup like a mini-Ikea where you snake through a line until you get to the counter. Not my favorite setup, but we were here on a random Wednesday morning and there was a short line so it probably gets pretty long at busy time.

Everyone loves Grandmas Cookies! We were VERY happy with the gluten free variety. They were most delicious gluten free cookies EVER tasted. Thank you Grandma Cookies for catering to the specialty diets! Our 14 year old visitor was so happy to eat something so delicious. You truly made her day. They will be stopping in tomorrow on their way out of town to get a dozen.

NO trip to St. Charles is complete without a trip to Grandma's Cookies! I don't know how the staff keeps such a friendly attitude with the craziness they endure, but it really is worth stopping by.
I know prices for everything has gone up, but getting a dozen of these FANTASTIC cookies for the price they charge makes it so worthwhile.

I am not a sweets eater. I prefer savory things like cheese and salty chips. We were on historic Saint Charles Main Street for the pumpkin glow. We stopped into grandmas cookies where there was a huge line. I was annoyed at the line but omg was it ever worth it!

We are super fans since we moved to Edwardsville. Hands down the best cookie around! We drive 40 minutes just to get them.

If you’re on Main Street, you gotta get a cookie from here. Baked fresh daily with classic flavors, my fav was the peanut butter chocolate chip 🫡

Such delicious cookies with a nice diversity of types. Also sells day old cookies at a great discounted price. But cookies are soft and chewy. You can't go down to St. Charles Historic Main St. without stopping in and trying the yummy cookues at Grandma's! The staff are so nice and very friendly, it makes a stop in very enjoyable!!

Staff were super friendly and efficient. There was a long line and it was gone in a matter of minutes. Cookies were fresh and the smell was enchanting! They offer a discount on day old cookies (if they have any) which is a great unique idea! They even offer cute boxes, tins, and containers at a price.
Great place for any cookie lover or to get a gift for a cookie lover.

I love this place. Me and my girlfriend and I were walking down the main street and wanted to get some cookies. I have already been to this place so many times, so I wanted more. I walked in and talked about the elcipse and chatted for a bit. And the guy gave us free cookies!!!!! Made my day, and I will be coming back at least once a week because omg this place is amazing.

Best cookies in Metro STL!!! Dynamite taste and if you time it right and they come right out of the oven you might eat a dozen yourself! Can’t say enough about the kind people that work there. Great location on Main Street! The smell will get you so don’t even think about trying to walk by without at least getting one…or two dozen!! You gotta go here!!!

Upon arrival, the sweet smell of cookies gracefully sweeps under your nose. It was a little busy on Thursday afternoon which made me more excited to try these cookies! I just happened to be in the area and decided to stop here for a treat! Larry at the front counter showed great hospitality! My family enjoyed the chocolate chip and oatmeal raison cookies! Yum!

Good cookies, just wish they were bigger and less expensive.

We recently used Grandma’s cookies for our wedding desserts. When my husband has called months ahead, they gave him a rough quote of the costs. When my husband called to make the order before the wedding, their prices had changed but they honored the original quote. We were so excited! The cookies were a major hit!! We had many of our guests eating them before the dinner even started!! Grandma’s cookies also provided delivery since our venue was not close to their shop. We couldn’t have asked for more.

Got to try these cookies at my church on mother's day the chocolate chip one is soo good. Just enough sweetness. And I like the way the cookie is shaped with the puff on top. Anyway, I must make a trip here myself very soon!

Our first visit to Grandmas was during Christmas Traditions and the bakery was extremely busy. The employees were efficiently helping everyone with such great attitudes. Everyone was so friendly! & the cookies were phenomenal! I honestly couldn’t believe how affordable they are for how big they are! 10/10 would recommend! We will definitely be back!

The chocolate chip is literally the best cookie I've ever ingested.

These things are as DENSE they are delicious.

I won't pretend to know the cooking process but it looks like they took an ice cream scoop that belongs to Hagrid, overflowed that baby with dough and then slapped it into some magic oven.

10000/10 will always go out of my way to grab some cookies when in the St. Charles area.

I have had many cookies in my lifetime. So have been so good and amazing. Still the cookies here taste the best. The way they scoop a round soft lump of fresh cookie dough and cook it to perfection is worth every penny. I highly recommend the chocolate chip and peanut butter cookies. They are so soft and delicious.

This review is based solely on my experience and my personal opinion.

I was there on Saturday 8/14/21 and this was my very first time at Grandma's Cookies and here is what I think....

FOOD: I bought a bunch of different cookies just to try all the flavors. The Flavors are there, mild and balanced. Clearly they do NOT use any artificial flavors, colorants or any flavor enhancer just like many other pastry shops do. They do really taste like the Cookies that my Grandma and my Mom make. they taste homemade and handmade.
What I loved the most is that the cookies are NOT loaded with sugar just like ANY other pastry shop does.
my favorite was the COCONUT COOKIE, I genuinely loved it.
The double chocolate cookie had melting chocolate inside, so cool and good.
The only Cookie that obviously has more sugar, and you can taste it, is the SNICKERDOODLE.
Other than that, ALL the other cookies have very little sugar, amazing!
They have a variety of drinks available and beverages but I did not try any of that, so cant really talk about it.

STAFF: a young boy and a young girl are there..... the boy is the cashier and the girl is the server, she tried to give me the smallest cookies of the bunch, but once I pointed that out, she just went ahead and swap them for bigger ones. other than that she was nice. they could use a little bit of a smile and they could be more welcoming.

PLACE: very small place, it is just a grab and go kind a shop. they do not have a sitting area where you can enjoy your cookies or the drinks you buy. But obviously that's just how it is, no comments.
At the very entrance, where you start the line, the room is tiny and to sort of create a path for the people in line they just placed a table in the middle of the room with random boxes of cookies that you can buy.... while in line you just walk around the table.

CLEANLINESS: the place seems fairly clean, a bit messy but clean.

PRICE: the Cookies are big, good and cheap! ALL of the cookies are $0.79 . 79 Cents for a good big cookie is not alot.

CONCLUSION: next Sunday I'm going there again to pick up more cookies, definitely.

I finally after years of buying 10’s of Dozen of cookies I have to say that these are by far the best cookies you can find any where! All of us have ours favorites that cover about every cookie they sell!! Keep up the great job!! Customer for life!
