Diligent staff... The vet tech doing the weight and testing was amazing with handling the animals.... As well as compassionate for the pets human owners .

We've been going to Blue Pearl essentially since the first day of the Pandemic. My lovely Goldendoodle, Teddy, had terrible early onset glaucoma at not even 2 yrs old. I had no idea what caused it, but BP was referred by my normal vet. We were scared Teddy would end up losing his eyes (sight was already gone) but BP was amazing through every step of the process. They had good options for blood testing to determine the issue, and once identified, treatment was laid out and a plan was implemented.

Now, 2 years later, my boy can see again! I have no doubt the staff here saved his eyesight. They have handled everything with professionalism and empathetic care. I recommend them to everyone with no reservations!

We have had 3 visits so far to diagnose and follow up with my chihuahua's glaucoma. The staff there has been really nice and great with my nervous girl. It's always calm and they seem to run pretty on schedule. The vet seems very knowledgeable about her field and takes the time to talk with me about everything and ask for input on anything I may have noticed . Overall I've been really happy with them.

I recently used their Exotic pet care services for my house rabbits. The staff was professional, easy to work with, and very thorough. Cost of services were provided up front before approving of each, and the staff took the time to explain what each service would entail. Highly recommend for anyone, especially with an older pet like one of my rabbits. Scheduling checkups and return visits are easy, as well. Near many restaurants and shopping venues, so you can get food or pick up items while you wait for the pet appointment to be over. Definitely a plus.

We came to Blue Pearl by the way of our regular vet. Our dog's eyes were swollen, infected and puffed out! Dr. Banks worked us in her schedule that day. She is wonderful, as I assume all the doctors are at Blue Pearl! I trust them with my dog's eyes! Great experience! Super friendly and professional!

I recently needed emergency exotic animal care for my elderly lizard and the staff and Dr. Whitehead were truly amazing. Saw us right away and helped my little guy as much as they could. I could not ask for more. And when end-of-life decisions had to be made, they were so compassionate and even followed up with a lovely card and beautiful memento of my beloved pet afterward. I'm blown away by their excellent service and the genuine compassion they showed me and my pet.

BluePearl Pet Hospital has been great in helping my dog with her condition. The staff is wonderful and the doctor is an absolute joy to my dog. Typically, my dog is afraid to even go get a bath, but for some reason has no issue having a check up done and it's really just a testament to how well the staff treats her. I'll continue going here for sure!

After taking our bearded dragon Toothless to the vet for a discoloration spot on the top of his head. They recommended us taking him to Blue Pearl to see Dr. Whitehead so we did. Unfortunately, he was diagnosed with cancer. They gave us the options and we went with what we could afford at the time. With their help and services they gave us another month and a half with our boy Toothless. We received amazing care from Blue Pearl. Dr. Whitehead we can't thank you enough for the great service you provided us and the quick email responses. Thank you to you and your staff for providing such good care for us and our boy Toothless. I highly recommend them.

I wanted to share that Dr. Anne Beyer in ophthalmology there is amazing! She handles my dog's check ups since he had cataract surgery at Mizzou when he was in foster care. She also handled a corneal ulcer that he got that my regular vets could not get under control. Dr. Beyer is amazing with him, great "bedside" manner, and you can tell she is extremely knowledgeable and passionate about her work. She will spend as much time as needed with you and your pet and make sure you understand everything that is going on. I fortunately haven't had to have surgery with her, but her exams, in-office tests, and meds have all been very reasonably priced (often less than my regular vet). The facility is also really nice (though the building was not built for barking and it echoes a lot!!) and everything has always gone smoothly.

Dr Borsdorf had the unenviable task of sharing a very bad diagnosis with me and our sweet Dutch bunny Luna. She Dr B) was compassionate and understanding, even though my request to provide at home palliative care may have surprised her. Our time with our loved and charismatic bunny was enriching for us all, including bunny.
I'm not sure the FD staff could use a little more empathy in dealing with clients facing a variety of diagnosis...but Dr Borsdorf was very good.

The staff at Midwest Veterinary Referral were so kind and gracious with the sudden loss of one of my pets. I am new to the area without an established vet and was filled with anxiety and grief. It was 2am and the staff was calm and reassuring on the phone, then met me at the door to help. They went out of their way to comfort a stranger and followed up with condolences and warm thoughts. I am forever grateful for their kindness, grace, and support.

This place is amazing! The receptionists, techs and doc's are so knowledgeable, patient and friendly. They will answer all of your questions before during and after treatment of your pet.
Dr. Whitehead is amazing. My female chameleon had to have surgery and it went off without a hitch. 72 eggs removed. Her sutures are beyond perfect. Which is quite a big deal because chams skin is really thick and tough.
The prices are very reasonable. And they don't try to upsell you on unnecessary things.

Midwest has helped us through two very scary nights with our dog. The first happened in the middle of the night after her yearly shots. She had a terrible allergic reaction and was given attention immediately. The staff was so kind to us and got her stabilized quicky. The more recent emergency happened when our dog woke up in the middle of the night paralyzed. I was 6+ months pregnant and absolutely hysterical - this is our baby, she's only 5! They checked her into the hospital, performed the surgery the next day and kept us posted as to her progress. They allowed us to come visit her (5 days in the hospital is a long time!) and gave us excellent instructions for her care when she came home. She is recovering beautifully and is almost back to her sprightly little self again. We can't imagine life without her and are so thankful to Midwest and their excellent staff for helping us through the stress of a sick animal.

We had to take our dog here for a consultation on suspected cancer. Dr. Buss was the most compassionate, knowledgeable, and helpful veterinarian. My mom came with me, and pointed out that she would not hesitate to bring her dogs here if they had any issue, and it is great to know that they have 24 hour support! The staff and techs were also very intelligent and helpful.

My Vet, Dr. Falls (an amazing Vet) sent me to this facility for an Ultrasound. Although my dog has cancer, I am so thankful I was able to speak with Dr. Schabbing. He is an incredible person, by the time I left, I was at peace. The Lady at the Front desk, unfortunately, I was to spacy to get her name, but she was nice, the Vet tech was very nice as well. Sincere and caring people, that was my experience and when you're scared and worried about your pet, it helps to have the support of kind people. They have water bowls for the dogs, they offered my tea, coffee, water, I just found the place to be peaceful, due to the fact these people were so caring. Thank you, I really appreciate the kindness and support.

I cannot say enough kind things about Dr. Beyer at Blue Pearl. Even though I have never met her face-to-face due to COVID, I feel as though I have been bringing my pets to her for years! She has gone above and beyond for me and my cat. I would bring any of my animals to see her for anything if I could! All of the support staff that I've encountered have been kind and helpful as well - truly a top notch experience! Thank you!!

Clients drive hours to get the expertise that Blue Pearl has. Dr. Anne Beyer is an excellent surgeon. My Sally girl had cataract surgery. We have limited sight, not as much as we wanted but, we're progressing.

I live in Marthasville,Mo. My sweet boy Woody, had feline diabetes and been to his vet 3 times in 2 days. Sat. Evening started having seizures and crying out in pain. This was the only animal hospital I could find open. It was a very long and painful hour and ten minutes to get there. He passed away 5 min. Before I got there. I took him in and the lady who helped me was so kind and understanding. I was devastated losing my best friend, but she did her best and took my boy who was 17 lbs in her arms with so much respect. Its been 4 months and am just now able to write a review as painful as it still is for me, but not yet without tears. A few weeks later I recieved a sympathy card from them with a little card in it with Woody's foot print. It was so unexpected, I will always hold it close to my heart. I highly reccomend BluePearl Pet Hospital for their compassion and respect of their patient and parents.

If your 4-legged friend needs emergency or specialty vet care do yourself a favor and reach out to MVRC. My dog recently needed eye surgery to remove an ectopic cilia. She was attended to by Dr. Amy Beyer and her team. Wow...such excellent care for my pet and they were wonderful & very helpful. The doctors and entire staff are the BEST! I'm just sorry I didn't come to MVRC before I wasted time and money on the other Ophthalmologist in St. Louis. I would always entrust the medical care of my dog to this staff of professionals.

I can't say enough positive things about this amazing group. When my kitten was traumatically injured they allowed me to visit her, called with updates, dealt with me crying constantly - they were awesome and the Doctors and techs took amazing care of my kitty. Definitely recommend this clinic for emergencies!
